What a sweet layout!! I love all the layers you used. Thanks for showing how to make your own TNs. This showed up on my feed today and I’m glad I chose to watch it.
I'm so glad this video is still up! This has been very helpful for me and thank you for having the measurements in the description box. I can't wait to make some of my own traveler's notebooks and document my past vacations. Thanks so much for sharing
You are very welcome!! It’s an old one and the video isn’t the greatest but I know it is helpful for a lot of crafters. I’m hoping to redo this video in the future 💕
Thanks for the tutorial Heba! I love the idea of being able to use my own papers to make my own notebook! Again, I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing with us!
I really, really like the combination of white and patterned pages - it seems like it would give you a lot of flexibility when you make your spreads. And it's great to be able to personalize your notebooks too! Thanks so much for the tutorial!
Susan Brochu Thank you so much dear Susan. That's why I like having the white pages, it gives me a place to start. You need to make yourself one Susan. 😁😘
This is SO awesome! Love that you used the paper with the pattern on one side! I've been sort of hard pressed to find TN's that I love so THANK YOU! I can totally do this 100 times over! :)
This is awesome. I haven't seen Traveler's Journal with scrapbooking layout type pages but why not! It looks great, it's fun to create and look back at later. Thanks for the inspiration.
What a beautiful photo, Heba! I agree about the white pages, having two pattern pages right next to each other might be too overwhelming. Lovely pages!
Oh my gosh Jasmin thank you so much!! Girl you’re making me blush. I have a new tutorial coming soon on my channel. Keep an eye out for it. I think you might enjoy it 🤗💕
Thanks for all your information. I don't have a long reach stapler so I punched holes & used embroider floss & sewed them together. Then used a blade to trim. I guess with practice it gets better. But for less than $5.00, it might be easier to buy the inserts. I didn't realize they were that cheap. But thanks, I will keep trying. I don't like to give up.
This is a great idea for me I never use a travellers notebook for a journal. I always use a book. Im always inspired watch. Your video makes it easy to decorate with out breaking the bank. Thanks for sharing
Claudine aka Miesha Bradford Oh thank you for watching 🤗 I really love using what I have on hand and keeping it real. We all buy way to much supplies so we should try to be creative and use them. 💕
I haven't scrapbooked in a year but I have enjoyed watching all ur Dec videos. U are inspiring me to start being creative again. I want to start today by finding some flowers to fussy cut out during tv time. Thank you for the Jaymes Young recommend; he's great! Thank you for all you do and Best wishes for a Blessed Holiday Season.
Oh my gosh thank you so much dear!! Your words mean the world to me. I hope you get back to crafting in the new year and get your fussy cutting on too lol!! I wish you and your family a wonderful and merry Christmas 🤗
My Little Journal Thanks to the quarantine 😬😬 I now have time to go back and watch your earlier videos... I was feeling all cooped up and lethargic but now I have a burst of creativity 💕💕
Katie's Nesting Spot I am following your foot steps Katie 😁 I want to start making more of my own TNs and I can see who it can be addictive 🤗 Thank you so much for watching
Are you kidding? Your not great at it? Your freakin awesome at it!!! I absolutely love this. I'm soooo happy I fell across your you tube channel somehow. What a great idea to use single sided patterned cardstock. Subscribed x
I love this TN!!! This is such a good idea to do!!! I think i need to make one too now! And i love the layout you made😍 this is so unique!!!! I am feeling so inspired!! Thank you💛
So happy I found this video! I want to start making my own inserts. The one question I don't see addressed in any of the videos I have found is should the cover be a thicker paper? Thank you for sharing! I love your pages!
Such a great idea, thank you sharing. I am going to make myself one as well. I need to create a habit of taking a to picture or weekly to create memories!
Taming Bubbles Yes, you need to make one of these TN and create some memories. A good way to remember taking a picture a day is setting an alarm on your phone. That's what I do. Thank you you dear 🤗
Kira Ness Girl I'm sure you are very clever. Believe me I see things that I'm like, WHAT how did I not think of that lol!! Thank you Kira for always leaving me great comments 😘
Thanks for the super tutorial 😀. I've just bought a long arm stapler to make my own TN inserts. I'm struggling to get the staples in the right place. Have you got any tips???
Sarah Toward Omg!! I had that same problem. I just added a slim washi right over where the staples come out. Let the washi cover the edge so you can see where the head of the stapler is. I don't know if this made any sense lol! But if you cover the head with washi you can see from the side where that staple is gonna end up. I hope this was helpful 🤗 Thank you for watching 💕
This is the first TN video I've stumbled across and wow! I'm so excited to find out more. If you don't have a cover for it,what would you use to protect it from damage?
+BeeHAPPy216 I use covers now for my inserts. I felt like I needed to protect them so I use basic covers nothing fancy 😊 before the covers I just used to put them in a basket lol!! Hopefully they will last longer now in covers 🤗💕
LOL!! I’ve been fussy cutting for a long time so it definitely helps needs some practice. I use either the Tim Holtz Scissors or American Crafts. I do add the links for my favorite scissors under My Favorite Crafty Things in the description box. You might find them in my recent videos
I made my first one tonight but my pages must not all be exactly the same size. Because when I stapled them together, some stuck out from the cover. I used a Fiscars blade to trim them but they don’t look very neat. Is there a trick I’m missing? I love yours, mine, not so much %!
Hi Lauren, they end up sometimes looking all wonky because they are tucked into each other. I use my trimmer to trim them down, it’s easier. I recommend you don’t use a lot of paper keep it around six papers per notebook and the thinner the paper the better ♥️
Michele Walters Oh thank you so much Michele 🤗 the paper pad is 12x12 but I trimmed my paper to 8.25 by 8.25. So when you fold your notebook it would be around 4 by 8.25. I hope this answers your question 🙂
Hi Abby, I always recommend to cut your paper a bit larger then your notebook. So when you have that extra long paper you can always trim it. I find the more paper you add the more your paper won’t align. I always use an X-Acto knife to trim the edges if they don’t align. I hope this was helpful 🤗💕
This is AWESOME. Such a fun idea. I love how you included the white pages in the notebook too!! Thanks for sharing such a unique idea! YOU ROCK!!!
Documented Journey Oh thank you my dear friend 😘 I think the white helps you start somewhere. If it was pattern on pattern it would drive me crazy 😁
What a sweet layout!! I love all the layers you used. Thanks for showing how to make your own TNs. This showed up on my feed today and I’m glad I chose to watch it.
Thank you so much dear friend ♥️

Hi Heba! Cute photo! I love the pink and grey/black together!
Marie P Thank you so much Marie 😘 I love that combo too 😁
So happy I found this video! I want to start making my own inserts. The one question I don't see addressed in any of the videos I have found is should the cover be a thicker paper? Thank you for sharing! I love your pages!
Thank you so much dear. No I don’t use thicker paper but you can if you like. The thick paper makes it harder to staple though and flatten out
That makes sense. Thank you!
Gorgeous! Love this!!
Corinne Curtis Oh thank you so much Corinne 🤗
Wonderful! Thank you!

It’s definitely a great way to use your pattern paper.
So stinking cute!
Thank you so much ♥️

Thank you dear 🤗💕
Hey Heba , do you have a flip through of this TN? Do you have a preference between this one and a regular all white pages notebook?
I made my first one tonight but my pages must not all be exactly the same size. Because when I stapled them together, some stuck out from the cover. I used a Fiscars blade to trim them but they don’t look very neat. Is there a trick I’m missing? I love yours, mine, not so much %!

That was an awesome tutorial! What are the measurements of the pages you cut out?
Michele Walters Oh thank you so much Michele 🤗 the paper pad is 12x12 but I trimmed my paper to 8.25 by 8.25. So when you fold your notebook it would be around 4 by 8.25. I hope this answers your question 🙂
so wonderful ;-))
+Daniela Bloch Thank you Daniela 🤗
How cool is that I'm going to make one I have tons of paper
You go girl!! Go for it, it’s very easy 😁💕
💯💕
♥️
What do you do when the sheets do not match up on the edge? Seems each sheet added sticks out farther on the outer edge!
I just use my tonic trimmer and trim them off 😁
Hi! How did you make the papers align perfectly? I tried everything but my papers don't align properly everytime i fold it
Hi Abby, I always recommend to cut your paper a bit larger then your notebook. So when you have that extra long paper you can always trim it. I find the more paper you add the more your paper won’t align.
I always use an X-Acto knife to trim the edges if they don’t align.
