Great to see you again. Enjoyed the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the hands on videos mate .
Glad you like them!
👍 great to see you out and about on the hunt for new prospects, did you need any buckets I've got metal and plastic handle ones. Great video 👍
Yep I'd be interested in some. I'll be over your way tomorrow. Got an appointment at 11
I'll be working, will leave them in front yard in ibc create, I'll put in both Plastic or metal handles/lids. Cheers Craig
@@craigparry5648 got them. The plastic handles are much chunkier than I thought they would be.
They will be great for that straight. Thanks for them.
Also I'm off to get a pump.
Great vid shattered it didnt pan put for you. Cant wait for the next one to see what you get up to on the straight
Meh prospecting is as much where not to dig as where to. Bends can be a lot of work to nail down so its a process. That straight though.....going to mine that.
Well if the sample trenches give a decent result. Has to dry out a bit first though. We keep getting wee bits of rain which makes the dry classifying a bit tricky.
@@MadScientistProspecting yep im down near Steiglitz and we got another 7ml today
I wonder if that's where the phrase 'didn't pan out' is derived from?
@@sterling1steve makes sence. I know to wish a minor good luck you say hope it pans out for you.
Yay you can take the kids with you 😁
Hmmm
It’s never just a walk. Hell I drive down the highway and see river gravels in the Sides (glaciated region) and think I wander if there’s gold in those culverts. Never seems to be a good place to stop.
There's always so much to see and notice.
Creek looks familiar 🤔.
Interested in the contraption you’re going to build/use 👌.
I’m keen to look into building a dry washer. Timber, manual & 12v options.
Not a big fan🤣 of the leaf blower kind of dryblower but won’t rule one out if the price was right.
Nah I'm not going to be blowing. I want something that will minimize the effort to classify. Get rid of the big and boring stuff.
If I had a metal detector what I'd call big and boring would be quite small. But need a detector to classify small so you don't leave pickers behind.
Need to team up with a trusted local with a detector.
I have detector now but not local 🤔
Mad Scientist Prospecting , I’d always thought an old metal bed frame - the ones with wire mesh that supported the old style mattress & they had springs all the way around them. Just the rectangle frame propped up on an angle could make a large classifying contraption
Some had like 7-10mm mesh
@@Party-Marty Yep but you have to shovel at least twice. Big frame really isn't fine enough. But you could have some thing behind it to catch what came through and then sift it again.
Ages ago you started to make a wooden pan.
Did you finish the pan?
Would be good to see you using it.
Yeah I should get back to it. It went a little wrong.
Yayyyy . . . Stu is back making Videos again 😃👍
Now all I have to do is pull my finger out and make some more too. I've been slack for months.
That creek bed looks great Stu!
Managing 5 kids at home has been challenging.
Cool stuff man👍😁 how deep does the stream get with a good rain?
With really good rain it fills up but that's really rare.
Most often A Couple of feet but by most often I mean once or twice per year. Generally it's a temporary trickle.
So this Bendigo? Thanks
Yes, it is!
@@MadScientistProspecting If we ever get out of lockdown I plan to get up there, cheers!
Bad news on the scoop. 2 dollar special from reject shop. They go ok though
Bother. Well still more than the gold I found.
🍺🍺
pretty good vid mate i have been in that creek i think. looks like the one down riflemans rg
There are a bunch of them in that area that give reliable gold. Might not be much but you can always find some.
No reduced restrictions for me yet. 😢
Well hopefully they will be easing soon.
