This was the second expansion of Classic TR. Actually this is the first time I play this. Thanks to Mahetus, who helped me pack the gold and original version together with Arsunt Patch.
Story:
The story involves Lara Croft coming across some clues referring to a small island in the Bering Sea: a faded photograph showing an Inuit whale hunter holding what looks like an ancient Golden Mask, an old newspaper from 1945 referring to a conflict over an Alaskan gold discovery, and a secret kind of fortified military mine base. Lara is primarily interested in finding the Mask, as it is rumoured to be the famed Golden Mask of Tornarsuk - a greater spirit said to bestow powers of re-animation on the mask wearer.

I'm playing this game now (for the first time ever) and I'm really impressed! I've played all of the other games in the saga but Golden 1 and 2 were the only missing. The levels are so beautiful and the atmosphere is so engaging!
This game was really well done and here I am, impressed after more than 20 years since its release lol.
Another short adventure directed by different person, well TR Gold series is always impressive in storytelling and the interesting places 💯👍
One two and three are being remastered with the expansions to it on PlayStation 5 Nintendo switch and Xbox series X it was announced❤

Thank you for this playthrough. This is my favorite Tomb Raider of all time. Much of my imagination is captured by the wonder and history of these levels. It truly left me wanting to know the origins of those people. Into the core of the earth, I dont think there has ever been a more unique take at a tomb of sorts. I still marvel at its beauty no matter how many times I play it.

Absolutely THE best legit TR adventure that they released, by a mile. It left me astonished after ghe first playthrough, especially the level design in Furnace of the Gods. Absolutely masterful

The atmosphere and level design in these expansion games is truly something else. I love the old classics but sadly haven't gotten around to playing all of these extras yet. Looks fascinating.

Impressive. I did TR2 Gold 100% Walkthrough but with only pistols and no medipacks. It's difficult challenge but I made it.

I just finished it for the first time. After every level I came here to check what I missed. I missed all the guns in the first chapters except for the harpoon, but got them all in Chapter 3. I wish I'd known the 5th level unlocked only if you found all the secrets, because I didn't, but I gave it my best, specially with a gamepad that wasn't entirely compatible and couldn't do some of the moves :') I loved your video. That last level was crazy, haha!

This remaster of the 3 yomb raider games has surprised me how good it looks. Just hope it sells well for 4 5 and Angel of darkness.remasters to be done.

I was a huge TR player on playstation, so i have never played any of those gold expansions. This year marks the TR 25th anniversary, i hope they will remaster and release all titles on new plataforms (TR1 to TR5 including expansions like this).
I agree. or to see the remake of Classic TR. Or now we can have TR1Main, TR2Main, TR3Main, and TR5Main (improvement of these engines, making them more like the PSX or better version)

I never played these expansions since I had a potato PC but by looking at the stages seems like Core Design put a lot of effort on some of these special levels.
You can try it if you want now :) Oh and the story and director are from different person. Original and Gold series are not from the same director :)

hey i happen to use the version you uploaded but the music in the main menu doesn't work at all, same for the FMVs
in your video your music works, do you happen to know what's the problem?
Rename the exe file to TR2 or TR2G and that issue should be resolved 😊
@@stevenPCGaming I managed to fix it by copying the "CD audio" folder and files from my gog installation folder to your pack.
Now I have music and voice acting, thanks for it, it works like a charm

Nice video! How did you put tr2main into the gold game? I mean, when I tried to do it, I couldn't see the original main menu from tr2gold and so other features correctly...
if you have both tr2 and tr2 gold files together, just duplicate another TR2.exe and go to its properties, adding -gold behind the taret path 😉😉

Mmmh.. I think you mean to creat a shortcut and write "-gold" as I usually do with other games adding "-setup". So I did it as you said and it appears "GameMain: could not load script file". BUT I just read your description and I downloaded the game with Arsunt's patch already included, thank you!

it's kind of tricky, for the last step, make sure Lara is almost off the edge, Lara will be pushed off while jumping, making her easily to reach the another bridge 😅😅

I know that "unfinished business" and "lost artifact" they related to the original story of Tr1 and Tr3 respectively. But "golden mask" how it relates to the story of Tr2? Does anyone know?
the story of golden mask takes place after Dagger of Xian events. But the both stories are not connected. You can just simply divided them into different adventures or individual adventures. :)
