When it comes to characters in video games that I absolutely hate Buzzo definitely takes the cake. Not because he torments the player character, not because he's a well written villain and not because he's a stupidly hard challenge to overcome. It's because he blames EVERYONE but himself.Even when you find out why he hated Brad so much all I could think is "Wow, what a whiny little bitch. So your mad at him for doing the exact same thing YOU did?!" They were both kids, what did he expect brad to do?
As much as I love Buzzo as a character, I'll never understand why so many people defend him, dude goes out of his way to hurt not just Buddy, but Dustin as well, kids who are completely innocent just to hurt someone else
Are there people defending his actions? I mean I like his character and can see why he did what he did but it doesn't make him a good person nor do his reasons excuse his actions
@@livemedown27 mmh, it's a bit of an ambiguity. He's a peice of shit that did horrible things because of trauma and regretted it in the end. I think he was a good person but circumstances fucked it up
Wouldn't it have been better to go after Brad's father? That damn was responsible for Brad's trauma and Lisa's death, so Buzzo could have gone looking for him and tortured him in the most sadistic ways he could think of.
Kind of late to respond. I always asked that but one of the reasons people say he didn't is because he either couldn't find Marty because after Lisa's death he move to a different place or because Buzzo couldn't take on Marty since he was a kid. Either way Buzzo knew who was hurting Lisa but he like "Nah, im just gonna ruin my master's dojo and ruin a kid's life".
I think when he said "I never did," he meant that he never did (want to hurt her), not that he never did (hurt her). If he hurt her, it wasn't because he wanted her hurt. The statement is still, technically not untrue.
I'd like to discuss how interesting Buzzo's story is. He's hatable, and just about everyone hates him... but I honestly can't bring myself to genuinely dislike him. He's just a slave to love. It's made explicitly clear that Berny was manipulated by Lisa to do horrific shit, and while he gave consent then, I think he certainly doesn't consent now. It permanently fractured his mind. He didn't want to blame Lisa, even though she was responsible, because he loved her. I don't think Buzzo is a villain. I think he's an anti-hero. He was manipulated by a girl he loved to do things he hates.
I believe that Dr. Yado is the villain of the story. He was also a manipulator of Berny, and in the end we DO see Buzzo redeem himself. Without his help (arguably) overthrowing Yado wouldn't be possible. In the end he regretted his actions and bore the cross, making the sacrifice play.
Well, technically he did it to hurt Brad, not Buddy, and the first one was one of his guys while the second one was due to Brad's choice, so..... Still bs.
"Saving your tween daughter from getting raped and consequently making her not feel like a strong emancipated woman" is truly among the greatest follies a game protagonist has ever made
