Banana Party he also comforted Donghyuk when Donghyuk cried because of the announcement that 3 members of team B might be replaced. Tho they are in the same situation he never showed a frown face and weakness but encourage other members to do great as well. He is so kind and such a sweetheart.

The fact that hanbin was actually the one that rearranged the song and yet he answered "we all came up with the idea"(which is true also) and not just "i did" shows what a great leader he is.. including all of the members n not just himself #throwbackM&M #M&Mmarathon lol

Yunhyeong is so kind. He always help others and guide each others. So sad to watch him crying.. Fortunately, the original six members are in iKON now.
Yunhyeong is like the happy go lucky one... when they get told about the situation of three confirmed members in ep 2, donghyuk cries, june gets mad and yunhyeong smiles it off and he does here. he is literally the heart of ikon!

True to their personalities. Donghyuk is forever the one with a loving heart, he feels easily both good and bad and keeps everything in his heart.
Yunhyeong is soft hearted, sweet and very bright. Even ikon says that he's the one who calms everyone down when there's disputes or differences because he logically and calmly explains both sides pros and cons (he doesn't solve anything as said by B.i.) after that both parties agree to disagree and the anger dissolves.
Junhoe is an Aries, he's stubborn and has fierce ideas on what should happen. He was both embarrassed and pissed for what happened to himself and Yunhyeong.
They all know that Yunhyeong is valuable for the sake of teamwork. Even know whenever they're tired they look at Yunhyeong to get a boost of energy on stage, if you take away their battery......what happens? He's the only one who made jokes and the members laugh when they lost on WIN. Forever cheerleader YUNHYEONG! ❤️

I really appreciate the fact that June was the last one who passed but he cried so much because Yoyo was left out. He didn't even enjoy that he was chosen rather he felt so sorry for passing. I felt it 💔
No wonder why B.I. is the leader. When I first got to know iKON, I was wondering why he was the leader when Jinhwan was the hyung (I know it's not always the oldest is the leader but there must have been a reason why they put B.I. as in his skills) And now I really understand. Throughout all the episodes, he has shown us his abilities not only in guiding them, his dancing and rapping skills and how he teaches the dances to the members, I'm just left with full respect towards him. The dude really got talents, those composing damn. It's not only the abilities that he got, but he also thinks as a leader: he thinks for everyone else. He is always making decisions carefully and thinking how it could help each member shine on stage. For example, like how he chose to do a whole different type of music like JYP - Honey, because he knows Hongseok can't dance. Don't get me wrong, I adore both Bobby and Jinhwan lots but you can see that as leaders, they have not done such a great job as Hanbin. It's not their fault, it's just not in them. SO KUDOS FOR B.I. FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT LEADER!

난 여기서 제일 가슴아픈건 우리 아이콘모두다 이렇게힘들게 열심히 데뷔했는데 한국에 얼굴몇번 보여주지도못하고 댓글에는 알수없는 외국말만 있고 가끔 한국말을 찾아볼수있는거, ,. 여기만보면 아이콘은 어느나라가수인지 헷갈릴정도다

im back at here after ikon perform with lisa at kingdom..Ikon have a strong heart,, i never regret as an ikonic, i stand for talent, i stand with quality, and ikon is the reason that im still stay as a kpop lover for over 12 years.

People who don’t know bobby may think he is pabo or scary but the way he silently listens to everyone and takes care of them makes me want to protect him always . I thinkk the reason why team B.I always win is because he has the mind of a producer, not just a trainee or a singer. He knows where he needs to stands out and shines and where to steps back and spares the stage presence for other team members. It is very much about the nature of each battle. When it was about the performance of the new members, he did his best to boost the other, and this time when it is about the overall result, he stands up and make his performance the best.

진짜 정말 다시 봐도 화나네;;일단 저 상황부터가 좀 그런 거 아닌가 어떻게 3년 이상 같이했던 멤버 3명이랑 연습생이랑 같이 배틀을 한다는 거 자체도 이해 안 가고 저때 멤버 하나하나가 힘들어했을 생각하면 마음 아프다

After watched this episode (again), I cried harder than before. Because B.I left iKON and I can't imagine how hard they cried. I think they are more in pain when B.I left iKON rather than in this episode. Can YG bring our leader back? he made a mistake, but everyone deserves second chance right?
2020 and I still have a hope that B.I will be back to iKON.

If that's the case, then what do they expect Junhoe to do? FLY?!
They were just here to judge a competition and i don't know what on earth that has to do with improvement. I have yet to figure out why everybody is head over hills for Chanwoo, i see nothing special as a singer but just a cute guy who should stick to acting and very likable but what the fans forget he is not bringring nothing to the team.

It was because of the stupid grouping. Hongseok so should have been on bottom 3 but it was so stupid because he was a member of winning team. I hate how this show's judging works.
보면 볼수록 최대한 자극적으로 끌어내고 애들한테 최대로 상처주는 방법인 회차였음... 보컬이랑 댄스 매치인데 심사위원이 다 래퍼인거부터가 말이 안되고 찬우도 잘했지만 누가봐도 준회가 더 잘했는데 준회 탈락시키고ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 걍 간단히 2명 떨구면되지 굳이굳이 한명한명 떨어뜨리고... 누가 저렇게 멤버를 뽑아ㅜ 존나 양홍석만 개이득인 회차임
ㅇㅈ 근데 저때 찬우가 뽑힌건 현재의 실력을 보고 뽑은게 아니라 찬우의 폭발적인 성장세에서 특별한 가능성이 있다고 본듯 그리고 보니까 프로그램 시작할때 양사장이 비아이 리더십 시험한다고 했는데 새로 들어온 까다로운 멤버들 돌아가면서 비아이 팀에 넣어보는게 그 시험의 연장선이었던 것 같음 실제로 새 멤버들이 비아이 팀에 있었을때 잘 어우러지지 못했다는 혹평을 가장 덜 받았고 특히 양홍석은 이번 경연에서 다른 팀했으면 이미 혹평이 쌓여있던 상태라 떨어졌을텐데 딱 타이밍 좋게 비아이 커버 받아서 몇번 더 올라간 것 같음 쨋든 엠넷이어서 그런가 연출도 더 잔인하게 했다고 생각함,,,
One of my favorite parts of this episode, it's when Jinhyung is singing and then he glances at Yunhyeong and sees him grooving to his song. He then immediately smiles and gains confidence while singing. Was a nice bromance moment.

Actually Ygtb is very cruel also, if not more cruel than this. There was this part in there where Yg made duos (some are even super best friends) compete against each other when they were supposed to be competing as a 'duo'. It's kind of the same with mix and match for a team who're told to be a team was suddenly told to fight each other. What made ygtb more cruel is because there were 29( not very sure ) trainees at the start fighting for their dreams but only 13 will debut. Watch it, I tell you it's damn cruel also.

Watching this as both a pentagon and an ikon fan, I'm actually happy that Hongseok did not make it. It is so clear to see that he fits so much better with the style of pentagon. Of course he must have been upset at the time, but I believe that he's really happy now with his current group.
Rightly said..But watching this its very heartbreaking..But happy that he didnt get it into Ikon..Also more over hapoy that he didnt give up singing after this competition which clearly shows his zeal for singing..Even though I'm not actually into pentagon but will root them because of Hongseok
His experience with iKON boys especially with Hanbin made him continue to want to be n idol. He learned hard work and dedication from this experience. Hongseok vocals and style fits Pentagon more. I hope they meet each other on one stage one day. 😊

Yunhyeong is really a sweetheart. He's friendly to the new members and he worries about everyone more than he worries for himself. He's selfless and kindhearted which is why I stan Yunhyeong. His heart captivated me more than his good looks. His heart shines the most. Just look how he helped Jinhyeong overcome the tension while performing when in fact, he just messed up his own performance. He put up a smile and that helped Jinhyeong regain his confidence. He also helped Chanwoo a lot during the previous episodes when their leader Hanbin wasn't present. I guess that's the reason why Chanwoo has been saying that Yunhyeong is his favorite hyung out of all the iKON members now.
When I saw BI consoling Junhoe I cried a whole lot harder 😭 It's been years but I'm still sobbing to this

조네 웃기네... 보컬만 있는팀인데 보컬을 보려면 보컬쪽 심사위원을 좀 데려왔어야지 .. 진환팀이 불리한 상황이잖아 ,, 진환이가 계속 자신은 꼴찌라는데 자기때문에 진것같다고 생각해서 스트레스 받으면 책임져주냐 래퍼쪽만 모조리 끌고와서 yg 애 기죽이는거 존나 잘하네 ?
그게 어쩔 수 없는게 애초에 yg가 원하는건 힙합적인거라서 어쩔 수 없음
애초부터 아이콘이란 팀을 만들 때 힙합그룹으로 기획한거임. 점수를 잘 따는 법을 비아이가 잘 알았던 거지. 물론 공연도 잘 해야겠지만 심사위원들의 입맛에 맞게 곡도 정하고 편곡할거 편곡하는등 무대 퀄리티도 훌륭했지만 가장 비아이가 신경썼던건 점수를 잘 따는 거였음. 솔직히 그 결과로 찬우가 이득을 많이 보긴 했지.

This show just shows how good BI is as a leader. Like this guy is meant to win.No matter how many times he falls down.
The judges all said something wasn't right about Hongseok like he didn't fit in and etc. That's obvious. Everyone could see it BUT the difference between them and B.I was that he didn't try to change or make him more hip hop(ish). Instead, he let Hongseok be himself and fashioned the performance to make a production where they all could be comfortable being themselves. E.g the rnb singer, the balladist singer, the female pop vocalist and the rapper. On paper, they seem awkward together but the arrangement made it work. Big credit to B.I's vision and talents.
44:39 , 47:41 June looks the toughest outside but he is the softest inside. I came here because of kingdom🤧
B.I having soft spot for Yunhyeong makes me soft. The way he appreciates Yunhyeong's hardwork, thinks about him and cares for him. I just feel sad that they are physically away from each other now but I know that love is still there.
but this episode is the most sadistic episode ever created in mnet history.....

So i am rewatching mix and match (just because) then i noticed that bi's team always won because of his unique song rearrangements and the overall performance itself. He can totally show his members' abilities through the song. However, in this match, we can see that hongseok doesn't fit the concept of ikon. Many people said that chanwoo only got praised because he is in bi's team but we can see in this episode that it was not the case. Hongseok got criticized even if his team won 1st, hence, chanwoo is destined to become a member of ikon 💕Lastly, hongseok is doing well in Pentagon now! Jinhyeong also is a solo artist now! Congrats to all of them ❤
I think that's Chanwoo's special skill, he blends in really well and can adapt to most situations.

Exactly ! I’m so pissed that many people say Chanwoo was picked because B.I didn’t want the other two contestants outshine Yoon’s vocal. I’m like, did u watch the whole show ? Hong Seok was completely unmatched with the other members, tho’ he got singing skill but he was the kind of Ballad singer, and JinYeong was always awkward to me. Chan didn’t have superb voice or dance skill but he got swag and some kind of cutie, lovely vibe that young people love, so he’s the perfect last piece for iKON.

내 개인적인 생각이지만 진환이 팀은 랩보다 보컬 쪽으로 갔는데 심사 보는 사람들이 대부분 랩 하는 사람이니까 어쩔 수 없이 차이가 좀 있지 않았나 싶다

I still can't get over the fact that Jinhwan team lost... Treasure was perfect! Jinhwan chose the perfect song to performe with Suhyun. The Performance was great, yes their voice was not always the best, but over I got the feeling and I didn't care. I love bobby nut in their performance all I saw was Bobby. In BI performace idk they did well I guess (altought I didn't like the song, but that was personal preference) but I didn't feel them like a group... Jinhwan group I saw a group of people have the best time and I felt it and I danced along with them. btw Suhyun is really lovable: vitamin is a fine word to describe her. I love how she was all shy with Jinhwan but super sassy with bobby during HiSuhyun era LOL
Mappi No offence but you mentioned it “their voice was not always the best”. Hence thats why they didn’t win this round because it is the VOCAL they look for. But they did win at the dance part tho

While I do feel very bad for the original members, and seeing them cry hit my heart hard, they only "eliminated" Yunhyeong because he was an original member. Look what it did- it caused crazy reactions by the members and the audience. It created hype. It was expected that two of the traineed would be eliminated, and let's face it, that outcome is boring. This whole show is a marketing scheme, and this was just another one of the tactics, especially considering that on the show so far the original members have felt pretty safe.
Also poor Hongseok just cannot catch a break! He gets barely any lines in the song, he doesn't get acknowledged during the dance performance even though it was VERY good, and he got no solo screentime. I wouldn't care if this was the first time this happened, but it's been like that for a while.
And YG, if you didn't think Hongseok fit the company's style why would you accept him as a trainee??

i agree with this so much. he's so talented. he has a very unique voice, it's strong and pretty steady live. i would say his voice seems stronger than jinhwans but then again, jinhwan has a naturally higher/thinner voice. plus joonhwe is one of the main dancers cause he comes from a dancing background. and yg loves him it seems like & rest of yg artists do too. he should definitely make the cut.

+Meanie's Fantasy exactly, the judges and yg (even though I'm sure he adores Jinhwan based on what I saw so far) are all hiphop--rap biased and ... it really isn't fair to everyone who isn't a rapper. Jinhwan probably would have won some of these evaluations if he was a rapper. :(
Not necessarily Jinhwan, but if his team had a rapper they would of had a chance. It said in the last episode they practiced dance mostly, so they knew that they were lacking without a rapper and focused on the choreography. It's a shame, but the judges voted for what they thought was good and that would probably be what they liked. A panel of rappers are most likely to go for the more hip-hop group. They all done well, got positive feedback and received high scores so that should count for something.

Firstly, I'm sorry, but to me, Jinhwan's team was WAY better. Everyone looked so natural and like they were having SO much fun. In both the dancing AND singing, everything was amazing, and I truly believed they deserved a better score.
And Secondly, tbh, Yunhyeong shouldn't have even been considered for elimination. If anyone, his entire team should've been safe. Don't get me wrong, I like B.I and Donghyuk, and I did NOT want precious Donghyuk to go through that (or any of them). But, the fact is that Hongseok did the worst. I mean, he's trying and he's not horrible, but he clearly needs WAY more practice for his singing and dancing. Honestly, he just doesn't match with the rest. If anyone, it should have been him to be dropped out and ONLY him.
He said he started two weeks ago, he obviously wasn't ready yet...YG should have kept him to wait because he can't ALREADY debut of course. This poor baby hasn't even had 2 months of training yet.

When others from the other teams were bring praised he had a huge smile, he was concerned for Chanwoo, and he was the first to console Junhoe and gave him a shoulder to cry on. His concerns are always for the other team members. He is such a great guy.

기획 누가 했는지 몰라도 진짜 잔인하다. 몇 년을 같이 연습해온 멤버가 떨어지는 것도 말이 안 되고 그렇다고 새로 들어온 멤버들을 마냥 배척할 수도 없고. 열심히 하고 실력이 있으면 데뷔할 수 있게끔 해줘야 되는데 9명으로 시작해서 아예 7명만 데뷔할 거다 결정을 지어놓으면 … 내가 팀에 합류하기 위해서라면 다른 멤버를 밟고 올라서야 되는 구조라는 게 볼수록 마음 아프다 ㅠㅠ 새로운 멤버 입장에서도 상당히 눈치 보이고 미안한 마음이 클 거 같은데.. 에휴 멤버들 실력은 많이 늘지 몰라도 저 프로그램 찍는동안 리더 세 명, 원년멤버지만 불확실한 세 명, 새로 들어온 세 명 전부 다 스트레스 엄청 받았을 거 같다 진짜 🥲

I completely agree with you. I was actually talking about this with my professor since she is Korean. I asked her how Koreans tend to view scandals and how they react whether it be proven true or false. & honestly, once put in a scandal it doesn't go away that fast, it doesn't matter if the person was cleared, the people/fans will still bash the person accused. (Not everyone though, just to clear that up)
In case you didn't know, this whole rumor started in the Korean Team B DC gallery by a hardcore OT6 fan (who loves Yunhyeong and Donghyuk). All her posts were about protecting them and then she posted the picture of the letter that was supposedly written by Jinhyeong. It's FAKE especially if you look at her previous posts about only keeping the original 6 and talking sh*t about the 3 nugus. The iljin rumor has been laid to rest on the Korean boards as of last week b/c people caught on about her posting history (someone took a snapshot of it thankfully) and she's been banned, but it looks like it still pops up here and there on the international boards and on twitter. Please stop bringing it up and spreading it because the letter has been confirmed fake.
Jinhyeong's former classmates saying that the rumors are fake and they posted pictures to prove that they indeed were his classmates/friends. What made my heart sad was that one of his friends wrote that when Jinhyeong first heard about the rumor, HE CRIED A LOT. Bobby and BI told Jinhyeong to ignore the rumors and to not give up when he was in his depressed state. I know someone already posted about Jinhyeong's former teachers defending him via instagram, but just wanted to share this also!
We all knew how painful this episode was. And just imagining how they felt when Hanbin announced his departure in the team is just so freaking painful, it's really painful. I still can't accept the fact that Hanbin left the group. It's just too much to bare.

I actually enjoyed Jinhwan's team more tbh. Bobby's team had a great performance too, Junhoe's vocals is just really awesome. But maybe because YG had invited rappers and they didn't appreciated the vocal team (jinhwan's) more that's why they favored the amazing rap B.I and Bobby had performed? Idk. these are just my thoughts. I am not biased to any team but i believe jinhwan should have won this round.

The problem with Jinhwan's team was that they were vocal-oriented, but the song was still flat. They were no impressive high notes or harmonies (only meh harmonies), and if you're a vocal team, you need that to stand out. The other teams had rapping and Bobby's team even had high notes to show vocal talents.
DK Last episode, Jinan's team did amazing vocally. Everyone was wowed by their impressive high notes and their harmonies. You can literally see it in their faces. And they're still last. That does not make sense. While I agree with you that this performance was a little lacking, I cannot believe that YG is suddenly talent > performance now. He chose Hanbin's team in the first round because they were fun, and Jinan's team did exactly that (heck everyone was giggling man) This is most definitely biased.

Jinhwan's team is better than B.I.'s but B.I.'s got the judges in the mood because of rapping. I think if IKON is to debut, they will be stuck with hiphop/rap forever

aliyantnia I really like Hanbin's rearrangement of the song, and Jinhwan did a good job too. I do like Hanbin's song more, but I would rather listen to Jinhwan's song on repeat rather than Hanbin's. Jinhwan's dance was definitely better than Hanbin's. Hanbin is my ultimate bias, but I found his dance boring and I didn't pay attention to much of it, but with Jinhwan's, I was interested the whole time, because, like the judges said (if I recall correctly, if I'm wrong, Bobby mentioned it during practice) it's a very powerful dance. I just realised my explanation was unnecessary but I felt like sharing my opinion, haha.

Chanwoo beating Junhoe was one of the most shocking things to ever come out of Mnet.
I think they did because they knew he would regain his place without problem ... Ever since i started to watch the show i feel like yg was just trying to challenge them, to push them just a little bit more. Hongseok was obviously not their style, Jinhyeong's lack of experience made him look a little bit awkward... Chanwoo was the who fitted the most with iKON's colors, so they saved him. I mean ever since the program started he has been adding more and more pressure to see their reaction (I haven't finished to watch the show yet, so this a premature comment, i'm sorry if i'm wrong)

How do all the members sing an english song so well with a good pronounciation despite not speaking the language. Like when Jinhyeong sang Marry Me, he sang it with a really really good pronounciation. It seems he can speak english well
And they're good even if it's acapella, yunheong's mistake is just forgetting the lyrics but he hits the high notes. No MR, no BGM and not just shouting. ☺️
