This is actually a great round to show the mental game of a disc golf day. Freeman fought with his putter, going +2 at some point, but made the adjustment and started nailing some dimes. KJ's choice to opt for the spin putt is another great example of awareness. Every player is gonna hit a tree or get slapped by the wind eventually - it's up to you to focus and make the adjustment.
i just want to say what a pleasure it was to have you two as commentators, i really enjoyed the first round coverage with you both. Keep up the good work Kevin and Thomas, good job fellas.
Also GK boys represent!! Fellow T-Town golfer here, i've actually had the pleasure of playing a few rounds with gabe, (before he joined your crew i think). any way, keep content flowing, i love watching
Thank you guys for putting out coverage of tournaments that aren't Dgpt tournaments. It really helps scratch the coverage itch between the NTs and DGPT. It is very much appreciated.
Really liked the course - diverse features and layout, never boring. And I love watching pros play in the wind. This shows that Ricky is human... wasn't sure from his past two tournaments ;)
Agree with others that KJ is probably tops in the sport when it comes to commentary. Glad to hear Thomas too because he's also pretty good at dissecting the game...although I still like the fact he seems to be in the background of every disc golf video.
Kevin, you have the perfect attitude for this game. At times I am haunted by this game and how little I’ve improved in almost 20 years.... I worry about watching too many of these videos because I’ll try and emulate their games (and I don’t have their form), but I always admire the composure of the players (Nikko notwithstanding).
What I’ve learned is that improvement takes hard work. I have to go to the field and film myself and makes tweaks and then film and watch and make tweaks over and over. And then do field work practicing up shots and putts. It’s hard to improve by only playing scored rounds
'It's crazy to see him just completely turn his putt around in the middle of a round' I do that all the time. I'll hit 2 or 3 great outside circle putts in a row early, then just miss everything from 12ft and out for the rest of the round.
Great coverage! On hole 14 you seem to have made a small mistake though, 325ft is not quite 167m. Got suspicious when Ricky threw a 167m Pig shot (over 500ft).
Me and a buddy bumped into Kevin at texas states and he was nice enough to take a pic (even though he looked like he’d just finished a marathon lol). Such a nice guy though, I made sure to compliment him on his commentary skills. I love the stylings of Uli/Koling but KJ gives us a different perspective with a lot more color commentary. Easy guy to root for. Keep it up GK.
- Barsby looks like a custom character in a SIMS game. - Barsby looks like if Uncle Rico played disc golf. - Barsby looks like a 50 year old retired snowboarder. - If you want a pair of Barsby socks, take a time machine back to the 80's. - Barsby's glasses looks like he welds between holes. Just a few thoughts of that round I wanted to share. Go Calvin!
Love the videos. Love that you are trying to make it more watchable for us europeans.. buth... 325 feet on hole 14 is not 167 metres. it is about around 100 metres. Just a note.
Is that halo yellow wraith a destroyer? I think I heard it mentioned it other coverage it was a wraith stamped destroyer. Kind of like the double aviar stamped destroyer
At 14:08 Kevin Jones does not establish balance and falls forward on a short putt. Definitely a foot fault... but is it not a foot fault since he missed the putt anyway? Can anyone clarify? Or did they just miss that one?
I slowed the playback to down to x.25 to watch some of Kevin's drives and to learn a few things on form timing. But I could NOT help but chuckle at the slow motion commentary. Highly suggest trying it for a bit. 😆
Kevin's putt got knocked down by an Iron Leaf on 17 and then Greg missed a putt that went yee-ee-eee and fell out lol Ken Climo is somewhere smiling right now
GK, I'm all about making ad revenue but how about you don't allow ads to interrupt mid flight. do an add in between every hole if you have to but let's not interfere with the flow
love the commentary team, but the shallow depth of field shots are distracting, especially in the woods when the camera operators miss the subject . many of the shorts are out of focus as well.
Kevin's ability to self-reflect and yet stay impartial about his own game during commentary is awesome. Really makes for great insight into the game
14:10 "Not gonna work"
KJ has really natural/professional commentary, i love to hear him break down shots & holes.
He is really good at this! Completely different person from when he is playing haha
I agree, he is coming along nicely.
These four would be a dream card to play or even cadi with.
Thomas and KJ are good together. Nice work, fellas.
As long as we got KJ we’re good
I really love this commentary duo- first time hearing Thomas on the call, he's super entertaining

Thomas, nice job commentating
I enjoyed the Kevin and Thomas commentary.
Love the KJ and Gilbert duo. Great commentary and coverage
power sunglasses, distance +50ft. All due respect amazing player, super fun to wach , can't wait

Great job KJ and Thomas, appreciate you.
can we get a Barsby in-the-bag with just his eagles??
really enjoyed Thomas on the mic--lots of good insight with a calm demeanor.
Don't forget to like the vid!! Really helps out GK and what helps them helps the sport :)
Loving the KIND commentary, always giving benefit of the doubt with positive vibes. Great content, GREAT angles and post production. #GKPro #forthewin

Fantastic commentary gentlemen. So much better then the low and slow we are use to.
Thank's for the coverage ! Nice Commentary !
GK catch cam has been killing it recently.
Really liked the course - diverse features and layout, never boring. And I love watching pros play in the wind. This shows that Ricky is human... wasn't sure from his past two tournaments ;)
Great coverage! KJ commentary is the best!
Really great coverage and professional commentary.
Love KJ's commentary, such a professional on and off the course!
The Measurement at hole 14 is a little off
167m is like 540f not 325f
Yeah, it should be 99 m.
Yeah, saw the graphic and heard Kevin say "I like the midrange play here" and was thinking, 167m with a mid?!?
Agree with others that KJ is probably tops in the sport when it comes to commentary. Glad to hear Thomas too because he's also pretty good at dissecting the game...although I still like the fact he seems to be in the background of every disc golf video.
Excellent content folks! Much appreciated!
This course is designed really well. Props to course designer.
More metal than chains in that round. Tough round guys. Hoping you guys catch some better luck next round. Especially Kevin.
KJ is an excellent commentator. Love him on the coverage. Insightful and entertaining.
Ricky throws it 495ft in the fairway and gets mad 😂
With a teebird 😂
XD swear he hates 90% of his shots
It's because it was only 493 on the Bushnell!
Thank you GK PRO, and go gettem round 2, Jones and Wysocki!!!!
Thanks for the coverage! Hope you do well Kev!

Great coverage and commentary. Thanks everyone.
Kevin and Thomas are freaking naturals at this. Great coverage!
'It's crazy to see him just completely turn his putt around in the middle of a round'
I do that all the time. I'll hit 2 or 3 great outside circle putts in a row early, then just miss everything from 12ft and out for the rest of the round.
I love when I absolutely jam a 50ft putt then go to the next hole and 2 putt from 15ft. Im trash haha.
Barbsy a true world champ. His best putts are the ones with the most at stake. Keep it up homie!!
That yellow Halo Wraith stamp Rick throws is a Destroyer
He has an aviar stamped destroyer too lol
Ricky’s mental toughness is off the charts!!!!
Joel Freeman gotta be the best-looking guy in disc golf. Dude should be a movie star.
First time watching content from this channel, Kevin is great at this :)
That Eagle that Gregg throws on hole 10 is so sweeet!
Tough conditions. Great coverage again 👍
Greg Barsby has the coolest style. I love his glasses! What brand are they? I need some.
Nice job GK. You folks are killing it.
Barsby keeping the metal factories at work and still with a good round. Damn.
Great coverage! On hole 14 you seem to have made a small mistake though, 325ft is not quite 167m. Got suspicious when Ricky threw a 167m Pig shot (over 500ft).
Top shelf coverage!

Lovin greggs eagle. Such a sick looking disc
Anybody know what sunglasses Barsby is wearing? Those things are sweet!
Greg out there with the Professor Farnsworth glasses!
Go Calvin!
14:12 Rick was thinking about that foot fault, but didn't want to do it to his boy.
The FPO footage is on Ace Run pro channel.
Love the videos. Love that you are trying to make it more watchable for us europeans.. buth... 325 feet on hole 14 is not 167 metres. it is about around 100 metres. Just a note.
Will be fixed for next round 👍🏽 sorry for the confusion!
Sorry but was that a falling putt on 14 Kev? Ricky seemed to give it a second glance
This course looks so fun
Is that halo yellow wraith a destroyer? I think I heard it mentioned it other coverage it was a wraith stamped destroyer. Kind of like the double aviar stamped destroyer
At 14:08 Kevin Jones does not establish balance and falls forward on a short putt. Definitely a foot fault... but is it not a foot fault since he missed the putt anyway? Can anyone clarify? Or did they just miss that one?
Where do you find those Barsby sunglasses though?
I slowed the playback to down to x.25 to watch some of Kevin's drives and to learn a few things on form timing. But I could NOT help but chuckle at the slow motion commentary. Highly suggest trying it for a bit. 😆
Barsby with an Eagle in his hands is = Sniper!
12:12 the distance in meters in wrong, 325 feet is 99 Meters, not 167
Is the trophy a sculpture of Barsby in his outfit today? Haha pretty vintage bro
Barsby makes throwing far look easy!
I like this course
I like this video
I like this commentary
Nice recovery from the front9 by Joel Freeman
Can’t tell if Gregg looks more like Willy Wonka or the Oompa loompas in those glasses
"simple lack of focus. I'm sure you've done that too". More times than I can count... I'm notorious for it lmao 🤦♂️🤷♂️
What kind of sunglasses are on Barsby? Anyone know??
Good stuff!
Kevin's putt got knocked down by an Iron Leaf on 17 and then Greg missed a putt that went yee-ee-eee and fell out lol Ken Climo is somewhere smiling right now
KJ is a great announcer
This is a question. Not an accusation.
14:13, is that a foot fault?
Those glasses are sick Greg!
rack rack rack em
Rathbun! Not Rathburn! Dang it Thomas!
Gavin's ace is not on instagram . Is there anyone who can point me to it ???
GK, I'm all about making ad revenue but how about you don't allow ads to interrupt mid flight. do an add in between every hole if you have to but let's not interfere with the flow
6:24 did he really use his putter upside down? why would he do that?
Hole 14 has a distancing issue, 325ft is not 167m, 167m is like 545ft 😅
Does Joel putt upside down when super close because of wind or spit-outs?
Spit -outs
Big Jerm Said that during the Texas States
Nikko at next round lead card? Will be hard one
He hit an iron twig - Barsby shout out! =-D
Those sideburns have to help his game, right?
Idk but I’m gonna grow a set of sideburns and see if they help me
hate it for these guys, but watching each of them struggle some on the greens makes me feel better about my game lol. even the best have off days
28:42 Nice
Joel Freeman
Thomas, say it with me.. BUN. RATH...BUN.
Kevin Jones sound like Adam from Workaholics
Hole 14 says wrong in the distance, its 99,06 meters :P
hole 14, 325ft aint 167m
KJ will you please dress like Dexter Morgan for just 1 round? Lol
Looks like @GreggBarsby ready for a Burning Man round..
Hole 14 shows the meters wrong. :)
love the commentary team, but the shallow depth of field shots are distracting, especially in the woods when the camera operators miss the subject . many of the shorts are out of focus as well.
Rathburn. It's definitely better that way.
Your meter calculationa are pretty off. for example 325ft cannot be 160m (hole 14), so please check those out. otherwise nice coverage.
👍🏻
Hole 14 325ft is not equal to 167 meters
I noticed Casey wasn't there supporting Gregg today, I wonder if that had something to do with his performance. Missing your girl is real feels
