"disbandment" is an incorrect way to frame the promotions of these subunits ending. no one uses that language for when an nct u subunit finishes promoting. the DEFAULT for this group is NOT repeating lineups. the company later stated that if a unit is able to reach 100k album sales, they will be maintained, but this is an exception vs an expectation. neither the members nor the fans were expecting the lineups to be maintained AT ALL going in, so this is a goal for when they're more established rather than being immediate. simply a motivating goal post for the future, nothing more. the members have DAILY youtube content called signal which is filmed and uploaded on the same day. the whole process of the members being revealed, concepts and voting being explained, and their daily activities are documented there. i highly recommend watching "Gonna Debut With You | tripleS 트리플에스 : SIGNAL 220916" where the voting process, 100k future goal, and first two subunits are explained to the members. in conclusion, all members will be active, just not at the same time. there is no disbandment, just regrouping for the next round of albums/concepts/voting. i personally believe this system allows the members to have more work life balance because their promotions will be staggered throughout the year, and they know ahead of time what formation they'll be apart of. the krystal eyes members spent the time generation was being promoted by the AAA members to finish their exams and other school commitments, and vice versa will be possible for the AAA members when krystal eyes starts promoting. it's a rare system in kpop that allows the young people involved to have a life outside of their work.
The girl who has a husky lower voice and the one who sings at the start is BIBI's sister Nakyoung! She's really great and I think it's on their genes. They're so talented!
I really loved this debut from tripleS AAA, and it's interesting how both them and NewJeans can approach the same topic yet in completely different ways. 'Generation' focuses upon the restrictions placed upon the youth in Eastern society, with the members only able to express themselves freely (expressed by their dancing) away from the public eye until they're forced to return to acting 'normal', gradually building up through the MV to the point in which they can break free and no longer care about what everyone else around them thinks. It's a complete parallel to NewJeans, that focuses moreso on the existing freedom present in the West, and living your best life.
That's why I once said if they can have a versus or exchange stage, that would be lit. May also starts a big fanwar, but these two are giving off similar vibes but are also different at the same time. Sadly the unit just dissolved right away.

I love how this song never lets up. Because it’s so full and pushed forward you don’t realize it’s actually under 3 minutes long! It’s wild. I also think it’s so fun how they dance facing each other in multiple scenes, it just feels like such camaraderie The double edged sword this group layout is that the subunits are very temporary. This subunit for example has literally already disbanded (they couldn’t reach 100k albums sales which apparently was the goal set by the company). I think if they’d given it more time - especially since they started gaining hella views on UA-cam a couple weeks after release - they could’ve definitely gotten closer to that number. I was definitely excited for these girls to stick together as a unit and come back with more music, but it was extremely short lived and a lot of people are disappointed about that.
It wasn't quite the "goal" set by the company, it's more like a special regulation. triples' units are meant to *always* be temporary, the company just created a rule where units *can* become permanent if they reach 100k album sales (i.e. they become so successful it wouldn't make sense to disband them). This is obviously impossible for triples to achieve right now, and it was designed that way on purpose - permanent units are not the point of triples' concept.
The group was designed to have rotational subunits. It doesn't matter if a subunit becomes "permanent", they will still be split up. The only difference is that the "permanent" subunit will be able to comeback in the future.

TripleS had already established a strong fanbase (through daily reality, covers n other side content) willing to spend their time, money and effort into the group to vote members into the current units (AAA and KRE). Naturally this system isn’t very accessible for the gp and there’s a learning curve, but this is an extreme case of a company catering to a fanbase and most importantly making that fanbase, regardless of its size, extremely dedicated. Which is what they’re aiming for.

Groups do put out songs occasionally that are specifically dedicated to their fanbase but overall the goal each comeback is to increase popularity which is exactly why they switch up concepts. They're trying to appeal to more people. Unfortunately I think they sometimes do it so much it's hard for them to convert a casual listener into a 'hardcore' fan. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for versatility as I'm sure most people are. I just think it might be too excessive for some people. Having said that, I do hope that won't be the case. I really like this group and I want them to succeed
As much as I'm sad that Jaden Jeong left BBC and LOONA, it seems he's doing a great job with this new group! This feels so different and alternative in the k-pop scene

Watching 'SIGNAL' series on their channel is so fun for better understanding tripleS grouping system. it's a daily reality content episode from Yoon Seoyeon(S1) appear as first member until for now the latest girl Kaede(S9) and it's still going until upcoming member S24. The content is so fun because they are really don't know who each S's is, so for some S's it is their first time to meet the new S's that coming in 2-4weeks(gap each S's appear/introduce) and before they're appear the company will release a teaser for new S's.

The song, the sub-unit, the premise of all the future combinations totally slaps.. this song (possibly) is my favourite style of sound this year. Its very fresh, new, current and youthful. Some amazing rookies coming out with great sounds also include Fifty Fifty. Their "The Fifty" mini album has 4 absolute classic songs on it.
i LOVE your idea that one of the biggest things that makes kpop music different from other genres is the goal to make every part of the song HIT. you can get something different from the different format-like pulling back in the verses allows for a more serious emotional beat, and makes the chorus stand out-but its easy to see why so many people never go back once they’ve gotten used to the overstimulation of kpop haha

Basically this it’s a 24 girls group from ModHaus the CEO of this company is Jaden Jong. This group concept it’s around Units, solos and ecc like music career to entertainment career a lot of the members have different backgrounds in music, entertainment and acting. They been introducing the girls 1 by 1 and now they 9.
i really love this debut so much!! and all their bsides are incredible, especially rolex and charla. i've been replaying the whole album for a month now. these girls are so pretty and talented i hope they get to shine again in other subunits soon
the reason its so LOONA similar is because Jaden Jeong is this groups main creative director, who left Loonas company after Butterfly Era due to creative differences. Which is why there's also a lot of similarities such as AAA & YYXY , or the song "Rolex" on the EP which was originally recorded by LOONA

What actually happened is the sub-unit Acid Angel From Asia (Triple S AAA) had a goal of selling 100,000 albums for this debut EP and that goal was not met, with the unit selling only 20,000 copies of the album “Access”, that's why the sub-unit was disbanded. It only means that this specific formation for Acid Angel From Asia will no longer exist in the TripleS universe, but the girls will remain part of the group and will participate in future projects and sub-units with other girls in the group. This is part of the concept of TripleS, which is a group "shaped by the fans" and being adjusted as they receive support and grow in popularity. The girls walk around in different concepts and the fanbase decides who fits best in what.
Acid angel from asia can comeback in the future if the fans voted them together! Also the 100k sales is just a opportunity for them since the group will have a rotating units

Best GG debut this year (Billlie was '21, right?)! Fresh, lovely voices, great groove, appropriate for their ages, not male-gaze, they're fabulous! I know this unit's already disbanded, but I super super hope they get a chance to do more songs together as part of the overall group. Also, Bibi's little sister! This is also my favorite GG debut besides Billlie and Aespa.
I'm sure some subunit will have male-gaze eventually. It is not always a bad thing to sexualize the members of a K-Pop group; that depends entirely on the concept of the group and the song. But here it was not needed. Doesn't mean it won't happen in the future, though.

The first problem comes at the split where young ends and mature begins. People can't decide where the line is. The second problem comes with the excessive objectification of an idol's body. Some artists will be pushed to do it all the time. This MV didn't get close to any of these topics. It was all music and TikTok. That's fine by me. And you also have to take into account this is led by the same man who brought us Kiss Later. (Though admittedly she was extremely young back then.)
To put it simply they are a subunit of a bigger group (kinda like NCT) the company dissolves the unit if they dont meet the set goal BUT THE GROUP WILL STILL BE ACTIVE, they rotate groups as comebacks and promote them as sub units as well (afaik).

I feel Heart Attack by AOA is similar to this song in the sense that it never takes a break. After that first chorus, it feels like the whole song has that chorus feeling. The song feels like both a sprint and a marathon.

I've been following along from the sidelines with tripleS so to finally see some of the girls debut made me so excited, espically to hear the first official version of dimension! It has also been really fun because this project has been happening the same time as OnlyOneOf's awesome solo series project. undergrOund idOl which you already know is another JJ group. So this half of the year has been such a treat music wise and I am eager to see what comes next from both groups!!!

I think they were 24 members. Did you know Yooyeon(the girl in black vest) almost debuted with class:y she was a fan favorite if not with the ridiculous final challenge bonus pts like 40% of the individual votes and more with the other finalists which is miscalculated imo. Jiwoo the tall girl in the end is also a finalist if i remember correctly.

I love how this song never lets up. Because it’s so full and pushed forward you don’t realize it’s actually under 3 minutes long! It’s wild. I also think it’s so fun how they dance facing each other in multiple scenes, it just feels like such camaraderie
The double edged sword this group layout is that the subunits are very temporary. This subunit for example has literally already disbanded (they couldn’t reach 100k albums sales which apparently was the goal set by the company). I think if they’d given it more time - especially since they started gaining hella views on UA-cam a couple weeks after release - they could’ve definitely gotten closer to that number. I was definitely excited for these girls to stick together as a unit and come back with more music, but it was extremely short lived and a lot of people are disappointed about that.
It wasn't quite the "goal" set by the company, it's more like a special regulation. triples' units are meant to *always* be temporary, the company just created a rule where units *can* become permanent if they reach 100k album sales (i.e. they become so successful it wouldn't make sense to disband them). This is obviously impossible for triples to achieve right now, and it was designed that way on purpose - permanent units are not the point of triples' concept.
The group was designed to have rotational subunits. It doesn't matter if a subunit becomes "permanent", they will still be split up. The only difference is that the "permanent" subunit will be able to comeback in the future.
@@Givememynameback Their concept is not aimed at the casual kpop listener but to the hardcore fans instead. Hardcore fans won't care about which members gets into a certain subunit or about the sound so it won't be a problem.
@@Givememynameback I think what sets them apart here is that the units are voted by fans. TripleS had already established a strong fanbase (through daily reality, covers n other side content) willing to spend their time, money and effort into the group to vote members into the current units (AAA and KRE). Naturally this system isn’t very accessible for the gp and there’s a learning curve, but this is an extreme case of a company catering to a fanbase and most importantly making that fanbase, regardless of its size, extremely dedicated. Which is what they’re aiming for.

Groups do put out songs occasionally that are specifically dedicated to their fanbase but overall the goal each comeback is to increase popularity which is exactly why they switch up concepts. They're trying to appeal to more people. Unfortunately I think they sometimes do it so much it's hard for them to convert a casual listener into a 'hardcore' fan. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for versatility as I'm sure most people are. I just think it might be too excessive for some people.
Having said that, I do hope that won't be the case. I really like this group and I want them to succeed

The content is so fun because they are really don't know who each S's is, so for some S's it is their first time to meet the new S's that coming in 2-4weeks(gap each S's appear/introduce) and before they're appear the company will release a teaser for new S's.

i LOVE your idea that one of the biggest things that makes kpop music different from other genres is the goal to make every part of the song HIT. you can get something different from the different format-like pulling back in the verses allows for a more serious emotional beat, and makes the chorus stand out-but its easy to see why so many people never go back once they’ve gotten used to the overstimulation of kpop haha
This was also my favorite debut in the last 20 years of Kpop. Ima buy an album just because I liked it so much.

This group concept it’s around Units, solos and ecc like music career to entertainment career a lot of the members have different backgrounds in music, entertainment and acting. They been introducing the girls 1 by 1 and now they 9.
i really love this debut so much!! and all their bsides are incredible, especially rolex and charla. i've been replaying the whole album for a month now.

the reason its so LOONA similar is because Jaden Jeong is this groups main creative director, who left Loonas company after Butterfly Era due to creative differences. Which is why there's also a lot of similarities such as AAA & YYXY , or the song "Rolex" on the EP which was originally recorded by LOONA

What actually happened is the sub-unit Acid Angel From Asia (Triple S AAA) had a goal of selling 100,000 albums for this debut EP and that goal was not met, with the unit selling only 20,000 copies of the album “Access”, that's why the sub-unit was disbanded.
It only means that this specific formation for Acid Angel From Asia will no longer exist in the TripleS universe, but the girls will remain part of the group and will participate in future projects and sub-units with other girls in the group. This is part of the concept of TripleS, which is a group "shaped by the fans" and being adjusted as they receive support and grow in popularity. The girls walk around in different concepts and the fanbase decides who fits best in what.
Acid angel from asia can comeback in the future if the fans voted them together! Also the 100k sales is just a opportunity for them since the group will have a rotating units
The 100k sales was never an expectation from their company. It was just an exemption for the units to become permanent when they reach the 100k mark

Best GG debut this year (Billlie was '21, right?)! Fresh, lovely voices, great groove, appropriate for their ages, not male-gaze, they're fabulous! I know this unit's already disbanded, but I super super hope they get a chance to do more songs together as part of the overall group. Also, Bibi's little sister! This is also my favorite GG debut besides Billlie and Aespa.

The first problem comes at the split where young ends and mature begins. People can't decide where the line is.
The second problem comes with the excessive objectification of an idol's body. Some artists will be pushed to do it all the time.
This MV didn't get close to any of these topics. It was all music and TikTok. That's fine by me.
And you also have to take into account this is led by the same man who brought us Kiss Later. (Though admittedly she was extremely young back then.)

To put it simply they are a subunit of a bigger group (kinda like NCT) the company dissolves the unit if they dont meet the set goal BUT THE GROUP WILL STILL BE ACTIVE, they rotate groups as comebacks and promote them as sub units as well (afaik).

Modhaus the company responsible of them is backed by some very big sponsors which explains the large budget in production and the mv. It’s also very apparent in their daily signals in which they all have meal cards and luxurious houses.
I really enjoyed more this debut than any other this year. This song is catchy and the dance is good. I really hope to see more the girls.

In my opinion, New Jeans kinda opened a new wave in K-pop scene. I wanted to see more groups like them and am so happy to see TripleS.
But i have seen many acid angel ... ‘s fans said when their idol released this song, that the song recorded and the concept was a long time before the newjeans trend

The chance for a comeback was under the condition that the mini reached 100k sales, which it failed to do. Future subunits will be held to the same standard but the members will stay to mix and match at fans' will.

the ceo, creative director and producer of TripleS is Jaden Jeong, who’s behind OnlyOneOf’s concepts and music since their debut, if you listen to their music you’ll notice that he’s been pushing this sound and visual for a couple of years, and if you enjoyed AAA’s debut you’ll probably like Onlyoneof’s discography as well. It’s probably a coincidence that New Jeans debuted with a similar “genre” not long before, or maybe it was the perfect time for it to get popular

I've been following along from the sidelines with tripleS so to finally see some of the girls debut made me so excited, espically to hear the first official version of dimension! It has also been really fun because this project has been happening the same time as OnlyOneOf's awesome solo series project. undergrOund idOl which you already know is another JJ group. So this half of the year has been such a treat music wise and I am eager to see what comes next from both groups!!!

I think they were 24 members. Did you know Yooyeon(the girl in black vest) almost debuted with class:y she was a fan favorite if not with the ridiculous final challenge bonus pts like 40% of the individual votes and more with the other finalists which is miscalculated imo. Jiwoo the tall girl in the end is also a finalist if i remember correctly.
