Circuit Bending SNES : Tutorial and DEMO

  • A really simple and easy way to circuit bend your SNES, a short tutorial followed by a DEMO. The Bend involves probing the boards via's to ground to test for reactivity; wiring ribbon cables to the reactive vias; making small holes in the casing for the ribbons; and attaching a breadboard to the back of your system. The entire project(if the have the proper tools) should take less than three hours.
    Nathan Shaw, also know as BiTDEPH, is a multimedia artist studying Music Technology at The California Institute of the Arts.

      Seeing the glitch effects and seeing how hard you can fuck up a circuit board and have it still work is fun

      I second Aiden. For me there is also an added appeal of being able to replay old games I grew up with in a completely new way. It makes games which I know like the back of my hand seem foreign and new (and also much harder haha).

      This is kinda interesting. When I was a kid sometimes we were forced to play this way when the system was kinda broken. Here you are doing it on purpose. Interesting for sure.
