Yes, he is Michael Jackson's son. He finally agreed to a second DNA, and it proved he is his son. The problem with all of this is he did not want anyone to know, but someone leaked the information.

He can dance, I have seen him dance in the studio, he doesn't want to be compared to his father Michael. He wants you to see Brandon, but it is really hard when he looks and sounds like Michael. There is a photo of him as a little boy, sitting on Michael's lap in the studio, while Michael was mixing a track. He grew up around Michael and all the other Jackson's even though he uses his mother's last name. I think it is hard for him to figure out how to perform on stage without being too much like Michael. You have to remember for years he was just happy behind the scenes writing and producing for other artists, like Neo, Ginuwine and Trey Songz.
