Yeah still one of the best models. First production bike to have radially mounted brakes and upside down forks. I bought my first bike in 2003 and chose the 600RR. But the 636 never lost my interest.
You'll just have to do it the old school way. By keeping track of mileage. You have to know the range of your bike on a full tank, then estimate from there depending on how aggressive you rode it. I never owned a bike that didn't have a fuel indicator and I wouldn't want to. But then again some people say the same about bikes not having a gear indicator. Just keep track of what gear you're in. If you forget, take it up to 6 and bring it down from there.
To me, this looks more inspired by the CBR600RR then the ZX-14R. Good looking bike though. I'm looking to upgrade to a 600-750cc sports bike right now (from a GS500F) but I think I'll be looking for a decent used bike. Still, one can dream....
