This battle and ending has acquired a completely different feeling and meaning knowing what happens in the Reincarnation finale. There's far more emotion in here now, and this battle was already emotional 😢
The events of Nier Reincarnation reveal that the entire Nier Series exists in a neverending timeloop caused by the existence of the quantum server where Him and Her reside (with the Drakengard series perhaps existing within an even more expansive timeloop) The observation of time causes those events to become guaranteed, making Him and Her overseers of a constant endless cycle of time. They eventually pray for a miracle that would set them and the world free from the loop, hoping that would be enough to save humanity from its set in stone fate. Singularity Kaine was that miracle. By destroying the quantum server, Kaine set both Him and Her free, whilst also bring back Nier and giving humanity a chance to one day return This miracle finally pays off in Reincarnation where Singularity Levania and Fio manage to defeat a corrupted Her, saving both the Earth and the Cage from a warped stasis. Her is purified of her rage and grief, the Machines and Androids are brought back online, and Fio is resurrected, the first living human in the Nier world in literal thousands of years.
I don't understand the lyrics...I don't know what it means but it still makes me cry nier replicant and nier automata are unique in every way I would like Drakengard on PC

my god this ending was simply a masterpiece, it was worth it replaying 2 hours until reaching that point.
