I am in the women’s Bible study generation and I did my studies with Beth Moore. She taught me how to grow in my relationship with Jesus. I worked through all of her studies I have my workbooks I have the CD’s of all of them! Beth brought the word of God to thousands of women in the most personal way she is like a really good girlfriend one that you have had for many years!! I love her and have always been so thankful for her gift of teaching and the fact that she said yes to her calling to teach us all these years! Praise Jesus for His love and Praise Him for women’s Bible study ❤️
Beth, thanks so much for the explanation that helps me (at 69) understand the younger ladies' thinking. Their lives are so busy and full, but I do long for them to know the wonders of all those Bible study days - even while I truly admire their focus on worship, advocacy, and things like child-rearing in this culture!
WOW, you just reminded me of the one and only time God has felt far away from me in the past 16 years of being a Christian. It was shortly after my Saul to Paul conversion on 06/03/08 that something evil happened to me at work, and I used the Lord's name in vain and in rage. He stepped away from me for only minutes, but it felt like I was on Omaha Beach when we invaded Normandy. All around me was my prior life and all the satanic and demonic forces were allowed to touch me, just like Job. Then it all stopped, and He reminded me of how my entire life of 49 years had been before I met Him- in the control of our enemy. I bawled my eyes out and promised to do better. We have been solid ever since. Your teaching has been an asset the entire walk, as I have learned more from you than anyone. Amen
I do know what Red Eyed Gravy is. My grandmother used to make it for me after church when I would attend with her. She was from Mountain Home Arkansas. When I asked my dad as an adult how to make Red Eyed gravy, he told me I wouldn’t eat it now cause I try to eat so healthy. I told him, trust me, I STILL WOULD! LOL

I really appreciate the idea to dialogue with God as I read Scripture, that’s so helpful, thank you!

I love the N.A.B. because it contains the Septuagint in its Old Testament, or Tanakh.
