    Newton's second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object.
    Force = mass x acceleration (F=ma)
    OR a = F/m.
    Definition : Force is equal to mass times acceleration.
    The greater the mass, the greater the force for the same acceleration.

    Acceleration due to gravity must be same for objects of different masses.
    Since both the objects fall from the same height but with different masses, their potential energies are different.
    This may be the reason for diffence in depth of impact.

      easily we can understand newtons second law of motion ......
      F = ma
      F - force
      m - mass
      a - acceleration

      What they’re really demonstrating is the force that creates the pit in the sand. The mass of the two objects varies, but both were accelerated by the gravity of Earth, then decelerated by landing the sand.
