I love that you like to be in Germany, that you like to have a family in Germany and that find a way to enjoy Germany and the area of cologne. I'm looking forward to see you cycling with the whole family. Germany needs definitely more positive thinking people like you.
    Thanks for your video.

This is such a lovely family friendly channel, no discrimination, good feelings and positive energy. The music is uplifting and when I see your family sharing the wonderful things that Germany has to offer, it just gives me hope and comfort that future generations may get on with people no matter where they come from in the world . Keep smiling, keep the faith, keep being yourself. A little channel but a huge positive message and I really love it. ❤❤❤❤

Love this! I'm from Southern California, but I lived in Australia (in Sydney) for three years. I fell in love with Oz during my time there but I am completely enamoured with Germany... so much so that I've decided I want to emigrate here. I love everything you mentioned in this video, but the thing that really draws me here is the German mentality. It just suits my personality so much more.
Anyhow, glad you're loving Germany so much. It's so nice to see an Aussie woman here singing this country's praises too!

Hi Noelle, thanks for watching my video and the comment. That’s awesome you’ve lived in Aus and Germany. What an amazing life experience. Im so glad you have found your place to live and you feel the most comfortable here. I went to a street festival yesterday and it was so fun. The Germans really do know how to have a good time 😊😊. All the best with life in Germany.

As a german I have lived in Australia for 1,5 Year (8m in Melbourne and 6 n in Port Douglas and visit SYD, BRIS, Adelaide ).
Australia is lycky Country. Modern, urban Citys, wide sreets, beutiful architecture, so many beaches, mostly sunny, diversity of wild life (nice birds), ... Australia have so much to offer, that you don't need to go oversees. And even when you want to go ... NZ, Thailand, Bali, Fiji, Bora-Bora, Japan 🤩 In Australia is Petrol much cheaper, than in Germany. So You can go by CamperVan around the Country and stay on nice places. North QLD, Great Barier Reef, Whitsundays, Gold Coast, Noosa, Hamilton Island, fraser island, Surfers paradise, ... I'cant stop🥰 And if you done with campervan - you go sailing or yachting. Travel by boat is freedom. Australia is the Place to be. Germany is old school.
We in germany have now big problem with heating our homes. Our government now wants tranformation. Everything should be climate-friendly and CO2-neutral. It's clear who should pay for it. Demographic change is a disaster in Germany, which is why the influx of asylum seekers does not stop. This is another reason why many Germans are dissatisfied. According to the OECD, Germany has the highest taxes and social security contributions, especially for singles. High taxes are no wonder if you want to save the whole world. Many people love to live on Bürgergeld and this why people still came here. Dark Future is over germany, thats for sure.

Loving this series so much Elyce, thank you! My partner and I are moving from Melbourne to Berlin next year with our kids (8 and 5) - very much a 'caution to the wind' type thing (I'll be trying to turn my full-time automotive journalism career into a freelance writing and photography career, gulp!), but she's an Aussie-born German with dual citizenship and a good grip on the language, so that's a helpful start, haha. For me, though, your videos have been so helpful from both an information perspective AND a confidence perspective. Thank you!

Hey Mikestevens thanks for the comment 😊. How exciting moving to Berlin! That will be amazing for your family. These big changes in life are so rewarding and even though they seem impossible and scary you find you are capable of so much more than you knew. I believe in Berlin English is very well spoken by many so I don’t think you will have too much trouble communicating. I’m so glad you have been enjoying my videos 😊😊😊. I wish you all the best with the move and if you ever need anything reach out to my instagram page 😊. All the best

Hi Elyce, the almighty yt-algorithm gods promoted this video, I watched it, got interested and subscribed. I am a little late to the party but welcome to my home country. I am following quite a few expats and have actually learned to look differently on Germany in some cases. Everytime one of you lists things they don't like (fair enough, you live here after all and have every right to say what you don't like) or things that they like or love. In the latter case I feel quite honoured that despite our reputation to be a rather rude people (total misconception I'd like to add) Germany also can provide enough warmth that expats can feel at home💛💛. In your case of course heavily supported by your lovely little family.
And having already watched some other of your videos: dein Deutsch ist erheblich besser geworden, Kompliment! Mein Tipp: sprich, wie dir der Schnabel gewachsen ist - lit. translation: speak as your beak has grown..😁💛

Haha - when I was a pupil, in my English book there was a chapter about Australia. And there was a picture showing people with a huge turkey at the beach. For me, as a German child, used to have snow in winter (ok, ok, this was in the 70s), this was unbelievable. How? Why? Christmas in summer? :-)
