    The water where the ship is sunk is Canadian waters? The gold should belong to Canada

      I'm canadian but what if it was American owned boat with American citizens on it? It's there's, same if canadian owned boat sank in usa it's our boat. What if you lost your wallet in usa , who's wallet is it?

      If it's in Canadian waters, it's Canadian gold. It's an historic wreck - it's not like the shipping company is trying to cover loses. The salvage crew deserves a portion for their work, but the rest belongs to British Columbia. We own the seabed the ship is resting on.

      @@suddenlysolo2170 no you don’t own it… Trust me, the guy who owns Rockfish knows his stuff. He pulled a fighter jet out of lake Washington and wrote to the military who dumped it there and they didn’t want it. So he and his buddy pulled it out. Then the military decided they wanted it So he and his partner 1:59 went to court and they won. He still restoring a fighter jet to this day,
      Make no mistake. The owner of rockfish knows exactly how to proceed. You guys are all ridiculous arguing about Canada gets it? Also, the finder of the shipwreck is very determined to let the world see and is making a museum. He’s doing it for the right reasons y’all are just arguing about money
      Shipwrecks all over you didn’t spend 30 years of your life looking for it Canadians. 🙄

  • @FEARISLIAR
    @FEARISLIAR Рік тому

    Did you spend over 30 years looking for this shipwreck?
    He researched like crazy and he’s search for it and he was going to find it and he did.
    no.. the owner of Rockfish has been looking for it and he’s the one who found it. He was tenacious in his search and refused to give up.

      depends on where exactly the wreck is, it may be in international waters off the coast-I can't tell if they gave the exact location but that would be a big factor.

      @@the_vuke Sorry, I am in this on a regular basis. Let me take some distance.
      What we want to look at is ISA, ITLOS. and generally UNCLOS these sets out the framework within laws in oceans and seas.
      The most basis would be a Country's territory extend 200M at sea from its shores at low tide.
      It get more complicated but that is where we would be starting from after that the international authority would be the International Seabed Authority (ISA) and other international bodies.
      No where in there is there a provision for a country making up its own ruling about what they can or cannot "own" in a different country.
      That being said the USA has a history of walking into foreign country to "save" them... L

    Wouldn't be surprised if Justin apologizes for Canada wrecking the ship and wants to give $150 million to help them rebuild a replica, plus offers to pay all the interest that the gold could have earned in value, and offers to pay each of the 300+ families a couple million apiece, just so long as they don't speak ill of Canada, and it being a mean place to ships

    • @muc78
      @muc78 2 роки тому +1

      $150 million??? That's nothing these days due to inflation. JT hands out minimum $500 million at a time

    I don't think any American company should have the rights to the ship wreck off the Canadian coast. If they want salvage it then a big percentage should go to our Canadian government.
