      I had one about twenty years ago and I did not know anything beside the fact that it was Parker and that was good enough for me. We did not have internet in schools and therefore I never knew the real name of it. And since we did not use computers and copying machines and typewriters in school we had to hand write all the notes and essays and everything else and I used one of these for couple of years because we were not allowed to use ballpoint pens because those were not good for your handwriting they told us. I still have one of these old pen sitting back home where I am from. And I believe it was my uncle's pen back in the day but I assume that same pen with the same nib was about thirty something years old last when I used it about twenty years back. I loved it. And I was the only kid in class who wrote with Parker. But I wonder if this pen is still in production and if not when was the last time they made it and if some are for sale, how much do those go for now? Thanks!

      @tylerfitzgerald677 8 років тому +2

      +tom, jones sadly, the Parker 51 has been out of production for a few decades. I've seen restored ones on Ebay go for as cheap as $150. You'll most likely pay a little more anywhere else. Either way, they really are great pens! They are by far "The Fountain Pen", besides the older Sheaffers such as the TD, Snorkel and PFM.

      Tyler Fitzgerald I hope I find mine. Its sitting back home in a metal trunk. I left that place fourteen years back. Its still there that I know but hopefully someday I will get back and find it where I left it. Thanks for the info.

      Tyler Fitzgerald so bad they've been out of production, they should be put again back on the market some day close same as they were just brain new fresh this tine from 2018. Writers from all over the world should make a petition about it. Seriously it is a great pen for it's simple cost. Why should I buy a Mont Blanc if I can by 5 or 6 of these brain new ones. And parker would profit a lot from it, people are historically buying used and restored ones and keeping them carefully ,such a shame they don't reproduce them again. Really!

    As always, a pleasure to see your videos my friend. Love your accent by the way.
    Do you know if Aerometric Parker 51 pens ever had gold-filled caps with clips sporting the Parker word, like in the earlier Vacumatics? Just got hold of such a pen that was manufactured in Canada, but I've been under the impression that these caps predate the Aerometric versions.

    • @penkino1
      @penkino1  6 років тому +1

      Thank you for watching Guillermo im glad you enjoyed it. Yes the earlier vacumatic clips had the Parker name on them, i dont believe the aerometric had the name.

    • @laideae
      @laideae 6 років тому

      Grandmia Pens Well, to add to the confusion, mine has Parker inscription on clip, but no Diamond shape -which was the reason for the clip change due to the FTC ruling. It is an MK I version judging by the black cap on top of the Aerometric filler. It is an absolute joy of a pen! I have not disassembled it, since it's in working condition, but I did cleaned it throughly. When the time comes, I'll be following each and every step detailed on your awesome videos.
      Greetings from Mexico!

    • @penkino1
      @penkino1  6 років тому
