That count in that Sheryl does is new to me...1...2...1.2.1234...I guess it's the first 1 on beat 1 and the first 2 on the beat 3 of the first count in measure...Then the next measure is 1 and 2 on beats 1 and 2...Then the next 1234 is on beats 3 & 4 & of the same measure for some 8th note feel...Interesting...That makes your lead in notes real accurate...Thanks Sheryl

Quite normal, you mesure black notes and then subdivide. It's like working with the metronome, when you start playing 4ths, 8thd and 16ths.
