After seeing you around the forums for a long time, it's nice to hear your voice for the first time. Good luck with the project. Your model work is quality and I'd say you did a great job overall. Thank you for continuing to support what I do, with what you do. It means a lot.
I really enjoyed this. The built in cover assignment feature was my favorite. Really love that detail and if I made a mod I would definitely do that. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for stopping by, Nick! I appreciate your kind words and your feedback! I personally have had the cover ability save my behind more than once! Being able to get a suppression or an ALS resource on scene fast is certainly beneficial!
being from SOcal and seeing is pretty dang spot on. Definitely would like to see just how to add your own mods and also seeing the development of this mod like how someone mention before me. great work btw
Thanks Owen! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’ll certainly be producing more content with this mod in the future. I’ve made some minor adjustments (such as moving fences closer to buildings) in some areas, causing exposure issues. There are some spots that will have three of four buildings going by the time the first-in engine gets on location!
@@2bellsgaming Excellent does sound like a nice chaotic first in attendence. I know some other modders like to hide gas cylinders in walls to keep players on theirs toes with explosions randomly occuring if you want to make it really go. Just as a recommendation for another game have a look at into the flames. It's made by another brother, focuses on a couple different maps with lots of good fires, special services and med calls.
Hey I loved the video and the mod. If you continue work on the mod can you live stream the dev work? I like seeing the process. Also please upload a longer video of this mod. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for your kind words and interaction, Ty! Doing a live stream of the dev work is an excellent idea that I’d never considered. I’ll certainly add it to my list of videos to create! Also, I will certainly get you a longer video of this mod. Maybe one with less me blabbing, and more sirens and game volume. Thanks again, and I hope to deliver on these promises soon!
Thank you! I’d be ‘ballparking’ a time estimation of how many hours I’ve put into this project, but, I’d say I’m probably close to 1,000 hours, between modding and playing/testing. Thanks for your kind words!
Holy cow this mod looks amazing. Wish it wasn't private since I would love to play it. I especially love the work you have done to the map. I am wondering if you can do some work on the map for the next version of Northview South County Revived. I still have plans and some map work would definitely help. And maybe some scripting if you don't mind. Doing the scripting, map work, and lighting myself is starting to be too much. I already have someone that can do skins and some modelling but the rest is still on me. With your help. The next version of South County Revived will be out of this world.
Hello! I would love to pay the creators so they can turn public the mod only for me! I love Em4, play it for 10y and Riverside is the golden pearl of my mod list
I appreciate the feedback! I understand your frustration, and appreciate you voicing your opinion. While I’m sad to see you go, I stand by my belief, and I will stay true to my values. Again, I appreciate your time to let me know your stance and your feelings. All the best!
I think private mods are the worst thing to happen to EM4, what's the point? Such an AMAZING mod that’s clearly had countless hours put into making it and it’s kept to a select few, it is just so disappointing.
Hey Jack! I appreciate your kind words about the mod. I can certainly understand and empathize with your thoughts about private modifications. I certainly see both sides, and for me, it’s about the principle. There are a handful of mods floating around right now that I would hardly even classify as a reskin. Some folks just nab a truck from a different mod, slap it in an existing mod, and call it a day. They release it, sometimes crediting the original creator, sometimes not. My view in the matter is without giving credit to the asset or content creator for each piece that’s not original, it’s borderline theft for me. Take the LA Mod as an example. A handful of mods have come out, some with drastic changes, some with only a few. But from those initial “sub-mods,” even more came out, and many of those simply credited the mod they’ve used as their base. All of a sudden, guys like MikeyPI, Itchboy, Hoppah, etc, aren’t even in the credits anymore. Without their initial work, we’d have none of the mods to use as a base. This mod is a prime example. This is based off the NorthView: South County mod, which in turn was based off the LA Mod. I feel like if I were to release this, I would only feel comfortable if I went through each and every model, script, siren, etc. to provide proper credit to those who did the actual work, and not just my copy and paste. I truly hope that in the future, we see the community giving the credits that are due, and maybe we’ll see some of those private mods, this one included, released at that time. I know this is a novel, but I really wanted to explain my feelings on the whole credit issue in the community. Thanks again, Jack!
@@2bellsgaming Hi Bells, that makes a lot more sense and thank you for taking the time to explain it. I understand why you wouldn’t want to release it if you didn’t have all the proper credits. Hopefully one day we can enjoy this amazing mod, until then I’ll continue to watch you play it!
If the community didn't have such a problem with asset theft, the entire private mod thing wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue. I'm tired of people bitching and moaning when developers choose to protect the work that they do by not just giving it out for every Tom, Dick and Harry to have. It's not fair to any of them.
It’s a very divisive issue in the community. I see and understand both sides of it. On one hand, I would love to have access to the assets and mods that are being held private. On the other hand, I understand the desire of those who’ve spent the time to learn the skills. And seeing some of the outright theft in the past, I can empathize with those who wish to have their work kept protected. I agree that if folks followed the wishes of creators, we would likely see the grip released some. It’s definitely a fine line, and most of us fall very emotionally on one side or another. Thank you for your interaction! It’s very much appreciated!
hi personlly i think private mods killed this game the morons who stole assets if it was not for them plebs the comunity could have the mods they wanted i understand mod devs want to protect there assets but it is just unfair on us its like thenorthenalex gets every mod under bloody sun and he expects us to watch and not be jealous and say damn i wish i could have why give the mod to alex but not us its just not fair.
The fire stations are public. FS81 (with the Battalion, Engine, Tiller and OES type 3) is on the German forums, however I believe it’s only two bays. I modified it to have the third bay (second drive through). FS82 (top right by the hospital with the Patrol, type 1, type 3, and USFS type 3) is a personal edit of the LA Mod station, the one used as FS83 currently. FS84 (bottom left with the patrol, engine and hazmat trucks) is also available on the German forums. Hopefully this helps you on your path to making a mod, and I appreciate your time and interaction!
That’s the precise parking script by Itchboy. I believe several mods have it currently. To use it, press “E” or “Delete” while clicking on the location you’re sending the unit to. That’ll spawn the marker. You can rotate it, and then right click on the marker to send the unit there. Thanks for the interaction and the feedback!
Thanks for your kind words! I apologize, but, for the foreseeable future, this modification will remain private. Thanks for stopping by and interacting!
