    Was on GATN in mid December. All boarded and was on for over an hour as the maintenance crew were in the cockpit. Once we got going it sounded really ropey. Well to me it did and glad when I reached ALC 🤦🏿

    I was on 777 G-VIIB when it had an electrical fire in July, spent a delightful 13 hours on the runway at Goose bay CFAB. Hopefully they have no recurrence of this in the coming year.

    Flying to Antigua in Business class on Saturday so might be lucky and get a club suite 777? I will just be happy if they have any aircraft available!
    Wonder how much longer they will keep the 25 yr old 777s going

    I’ve chosen BA to fly to Boston in June but I’m thinking I should’ve gone with Virgin. BA’s baggage on economy was far superior for similar price, so went with that.

    I'm sure IAG had further options on A350's after the initial 18 .should have taken them up.

    Very interesting briefing Mark thank you. I’d like to know if BA are continuing with the double deckers and are there any plans to return services to Englands second city after the massive extensions underway?

    • @markstrainsplanes
      @markstrainsplanes  3 дні тому +1

      @@stephenclee6272 yes BA is going to keep the A380s and plans in place to refurbish those with Club Suites and New First. I don’t think BA have any plans to launch services from Birmingham.

    • @markstrainsplanes
      @markstrainsplanes  2 дні тому

      @@ryanfilms9867they occasionally have issues with the engines but there are twice as many to go wrong compared to most other types. More defects relate to undercarriages, electrics and other issues.

    I don’t understand why BA hasn’t taken up it’s options on the a350 if not the 1000 they could convert to the 900.

    • @nickf619
      @nickf619 2 дні тому

      The simple answer is because they’re not a great airline, and don’t care for the passenger experience
