I must admit that someone who has never liked the look of BMW'S I do think the 4 Series Coupé is a good looking car, but this Infinity is better looking still.
Yeah, that is the reason why I never read British magazines. It is a shame how much prejudice they have and how biased they are. BMW, Volkswagen/Škoda/Audi/Seat are the holy grail of British automotive journalism. They just can not stand any Japanese manufacturer. They gave Lexus models 2 of 5 stars, just ridiculous. Regards
I think he's on point about the suspension and the steering. In 2003, I bought an Infiniti G35 in Canada long before its introduction to the British market. I drove that thing until it got destroyed in an accident. Following to that, I've owned a Mercedes C350 and a BMW 335i. I was looking to replace my 335i when I test drove the Q50, the saloon variant of the Q60. It was a total letdown compared to my C350 and 335i.
I just got one of these recently. The bias is absolutely shocking here. First of all, I’ve lost count of the number of people who have come up to me and said about how good it looks. Also, the amount of equipment you get particularly in premium tech trim which I have, is superb. The Bose performance series sound system is fantastic and back seat space is nowhere near as tight as this guy made it out to be. Only criticism I have at the moment is the rather awkward seatbelt but other than that, it’s great, I love it!
@@cosmotect can’t say that I have. I’ve stuck in sport and it’s pretty nice. Also, you get ALC with it so on long motorway drives, it’s really relaxing. Did a 440km journey from cork back home and it was effortless.
He seems to have come with a low opinion of the brand and then found everything to justify that. When you review a car and all you can find is negatives were others have found positives then it's not the car rather its you.
David Higan ikr he was bashing the car the whole time and barely said anything nice he takes the d,a,s he hates the two screens, he hates the ride quality, he has no head room but it look like his seat was straight up this is an unprofessional review
If a car has that little headroom at the rear, that means it's a 2 seater. And if it's a 2 seater, it has no right to be this huge. A 2 seater is as big as the MX5.
For having a "back seat". Yeah. It's sadly a joke. You get tax cuts based on boxes the manufacturer ticked. It has nothing to do with facts. This is an oversized 2 seater.
Its biased reviews like these that have killed off infiniti in Europe. All other reviewers around the world rate these cars really highly. Their q50 hybrid AWD was probably the perfect car for the current world. Ahead of their time. Pity.
That doesn't mean that you made the best choice tho. It might be the best choice for you because it makes you feel good but someone that have had more experience might be asking for more than what q60 has to offer.
No one buy a coupe for back seats. I have a 4 doors sedan for work and a G35/G37 coupe for fun or weekend driving. I can't wait until I get my Q60 Red Sport 400.
I'm 6'4 and nearly fit in this car, how is he having an issue with headroom? Granted I was in the Redsport so they may have seats more accommodating to taller folk.
This guy is an utter pillock! I've owned my Q60 for three years and would buy a new one in a heartbeat. I still get a pang of "wow!" when I look at its gleaming sunstone red paintwork sculpted into that beautiful liquid shape. It's great to drive - still turns heads and I think I must be the only one driving one in the UK. What a pity that Infiniti have pulled out of Europe. The Euro-Box equivalents are OK...but the Q60 is a cut above in looks, luxury and driving dynamics.....and yes, I have the steering pack and it's absolutely fine!!
This guy is completely biased toward Japanese luxury brand, in England people have this prejudice if a vehicle is not from Germany so it would not be as good or better than German. This infiniti Q60 is just stunning, it will stand out in the crowd. its way beautiful than any German luxury e.g Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. plz stop ur prejudice, biased comments.
it's a bit odd that there was almost no positive comments made but the closing statement is "the Q60 is worth a look". better to stick to your guns and say "I can't recommend this car".
This review ain't shit. I got my q60 and it's nothing like what u describe here. Don't know y your so but hurt. It's a really nice car. Performance and physical appearance
As an owner of A5 and BMW M4... the look certainly grabbed my attention. Took it for test drive for two days, return with much, much disappointment. I was hoping they make a return to all their rivals but they're far from touching any major manufacturers. Infotainment lacks the flow, drive by wire system is extremely unpredictable at the corner when it's close to limit, driving up to 100 mph is actually scary! Nissan, it's time for them to get their sh** together!
The only reason to purchase this car is exactly like he said, making a statement if so, all those flaws he mentioned can be overlooked i guess stunning look plus Japanese reliabilty............... that'll do
This feels like a classic dismissive British review. Finding petty things to criticize that can be applied to every car in the class. How is one hard plastic so vastly superior to another hard plastic.🤔
I really want to like this car - it is an absolute homerun in terms of styling. Maybe it will be a decent drive without the drive-by-wire steering option.
drive the car for yourself before you judge. reviews are helpful but not the final verdict. plus this guy is driving the worst engine available in this car... smh
The only thing I agree with him on is the steering. The older models of the q50/q60 had better steering. You could feel it. The newer ones do have a loss of connection to the tires and road
The guy testing the car is just ridicolous, absolutely subjective opinion. I do not own the car , but his attitude make me never watch video with him defo.
I test drove this today. It is a lovely car, but the steering is shocking. After a little thought, I realised it reminded me of those steering wheels you attach to your playstation or xbox. The feedback is like digitised and fake. It doesn't inspire any confidence whatsoever.
Lol im 21 and about to be 22 and have had 5 cars myself and drivne cars vans trucks suvs, and had the q60 for 2.5 years, and it does indeed feeo very natural very sporty, i pushed it to its limits on corners, on ramps, drifts, fast lane changes and its all very precise for someone who knows how to drive and someone who wants to relax its great at that too
Although the idea is to try and keep some 4 seater/reasonable boot practicality with 2 door GT coupes (based off 4 doors), when you buy them you don't actually care. I'm considering it in the future and I won't want anyone in the back and the boot is plenty big enough for going away. If you want what was negative in the video buy the 4 door version!! Thing looks great, odd angles at the rear but much better looking than the standard stuff on sale.
looks like a pretty cool car and probably quite reliable. In terms of everyday usability it probably needs a lot of work, probably why infiniti doesn't really sell.
why only on petrol ? I don't wanna use all my fucking money on fuel , who needs so much power anyway , this car wasn't even designed for performance on the track .
i still don't understand why some Japan's premium car use dual screen set up. Why not combine them together into a massive portrait tablet like one on Volvo, Prius, Tesla, and Renault? Anyway the car looks so good but it will never beat the 4 series
Everything he says is a disappointment doesn't matter to anyone buying the car. Back seat? I'm driving. The turn signal are dated? Pfff who cares.. And the sterring?? I have a q50.. The sterring is fine.. He's also reviewing the wrong car to compare to the other cars.. Should have been the 3.0t.
Steering isn't even that bad. I've played around with it in the sedan counterpart and it's actually quite cool. Sensitivity can be changed quite a bit and steering weight as well. I'm not sure why this reviewer thinks there isn't any adjustment for steering sensitivity.
These cars were made with the V6 engine in mind. The 2.0T engine is actually a Mercedes engine for the EU and China market, and now in the US starting 2016.
4 series is best buy in it's class, there's no doubt about it, but to me most important thing in that group is beauty. q60 looks great, but not as C class coupe.
+Carbuyer I'm so glad I ignored these ignorant car reviewers like this bloke and went a purchased a 400 red sport and love it more than any of my past 3 BMW's. Shame, these infinits are starting to look decent enough, but inside there's still way too much Nissan. I sat in an Infiniti SUV recently and it felt cheaper inside than my old mondeo. How??
That Earthling you'll be surprised how even the expensive brands, Mercedes, bmw use a lot of shared parts with other brands kia, etc. Can be from brakes, mirrors, even the co. that make the interiors for them, as most parts are just sourced fron similar sources then just assembled together
@marontransporter Are you kidding me? Look at what Bugatti did with their key....literally the same key that I had in my Volkswagen Jetta years ago, especially the Veyron and that was a nearly $2 million dollar car sharing parts with a $17k car 🤷🏾♂️
really?? looked like he went out of his way to point out everything that was wrong with the car without highlighting any of its positives. He didn't even bother to provide any example of how the instruments are overly complicated or demonstrate any of it. He also didn't drive the more powerful version of the car. I think this is a bad bad review and can be done a lot better.
KoS There are very few positives I'm afraid. Other than styling and equipment levels which are great, it's a long way behind anything European. It's even way behind the Lexus RC
James Batchelor well we wouldn't know that from this review, he only said as much but again didn't specify what this car does come with other than the optional drive by wire electronic steering and leather upholstery, and electric seats. this car looks like it packs some cool tech features.. think i will go to carwow to look at a proper review
I hate that little dimple at the top of the front grille!! I hope ppl love waiting in the rain, while waiting for those seats to move up!! lol All new outside, with 5 year old interior!! No headups display and no ventilated seats!!
I'm having huge issues with brands such as Infinity, Lexus etc. that are attempts to establish a premium product from a company that operates in a different market segment. The reason why are the little details, such as the switch gears and keys that are 1:1 the same as Nissan's. To me, this is a constant reminder that you are driving a "pimped out" Nissan, no history or brand culture, just some idea to cash in on a different market. They should really try to separate the premium brands from their origin and let design the cars from scratch. No accountants suggesting to reuse some tools from Nissan's range to save costs etc.
Europe is the natural home of the luxury car. I mean: Just name a single famous luxury car brand, which is not european. There is Cadillac maybe, but thats about it. So especially as a european, you have to be a bit bonkers to say "no I dont want a Mercedes, I dont want a BMW, I dont want an Audi, I dont want a Volvo, I dont want a Jaguar, I dont want an Alfa Romeo, let me have a japanese car instead, which was devoloped mainly for the american market."
Really interesting to hear the contrast of this review compared to the American reviewers. This review I feel is far more accurate. When I test drove this I could not believe this car came from the same company that produced the G37. This car is lifeless in feel and not driving connection exists. It's terrible. The fact that they do not even offer an LSD on the V6TT rwd car is mind blowing. One wheel peels for days that you can't feel through the steering. Just overly complicated for no reason and this is suppose to be their sporty offering hahahah
Well, for someone who has salary in GBP, 40,00GBP for a car like this is a god damn joke. Many normal people should be able to afford it with their annual salary, so that's actually brilliant - no in comparison to the competition, but in general.
Yoseob Yang basically pls tell what was the whole point of this video if he was bashing the car the whole time And don't listen to him he knows nothing just test drive it for yourself
grill is too big and the rear end is way too long. knowing nissan and renault are closely related they could have looked at laguna coupe perfect proportions, or at least at the previous gen infiniti coupes
Prejudicial review! Im tired with reviews that arent honest. I believe reviews should be objective and scientific and not subject to personal and unfounded opinions
So Nissan is not paying for this review then.....:-) It is so refreshing to get a car review not ridiculously biased towards the brand of car being reviewed
+James Batchelor. You responded! Thanks. Never knew you guys (car reviewers in general) ever really read comments. I was kidding about the payment thing but it does seem like that with most car reviews. We need more honest and realistic reviews on cars to make better informed decisions.

Blake Swan are you talking out your ass you probably drove the 2.0 and not the red sport
You remind me of Katie Hopkins!
The center console reminds me of a ford mondeo or edge,
but why are there two screens???
yeah but the germans aint gonna last past 70k miles
Well, for someone who has salary in GBP, 40,00GBP for a car like this is a god damn joke. Many normal people should be able to afford it with their annual salary, so that's actually brilliant - no in comparison to the competition, but in general.
Liked it for the looks.
So, according to you, this car has nothing good, right?
Yoseob Yang basically pls tell what was the whole point of this video if he was bashing the car the whole time
And don't listen to him he knows nothing just test drive it for yourself
grill is too big and the rear end is way too long. knowing nissan and renault are closely related they could have looked at laguna coupe perfect proportions, or at least at the previous gen infiniti coupes
Prejudicial review! Im tired with reviews that arent honest. I believe reviews should be objective and scientific and not subject to personal and unfounded opinions
So Nissan is not paying for this review then.....:-)
It is so refreshing to get a car review not ridiculously biased towards the brand of car being reviewed
+James Batchelor. You responded! Thanks. Never knew you guys (car reviewers in general) ever really read comments. I was kidding about the payment thing but it does seem like that with most car reviews. We need more honest and realistic reviews on cars to make better informed decisions.
Infiniti drives just as nice as Acura and better the Cadillac.
