Its just raw and full of emotion and sang in a way that its all about the Anthem not the singer trying to show off every run or vocal trick they have possible. Chris Stapleton is in my mind the greatest vocalist to have ever graced this planet!

Played American 🏈 and went to high school with Chris. It's so surreal seeing him on the biggest stage. We are from a very small mountain town. I wasn't close to him, but I remember hearing him play music in school at a friend's house. Her brother was one of his bandmates at the time. We always thought he was good but could never have dreamed of this success.

He took over the top rendition of this song to me from Whitney at the Super Bowl. He just made my hair stand on end again even after hearing it for the 4th time. My son, who died at 24, told me Cris was one of his favorites, so it carries some extra weight for me. Great job!

I knew once I heard Chris was going to play the national anthem it was going to get this sort of reaction. I've never heard another country singer who had such a voice and his time couldn't have been at a more needed time. Music has always had a sort of healing effect on people. To bring people together. Just seeing so many football players and coaches in tears when just a few years ago theu would have been kneeling. It was such a powerful moment for sports and the country.
Such a heartfelt and mesmerizing performance. His CMA performance of "Cold" is probably my favorite. What's not to love about his music. I did see an interview before he sang, and he was a bit nervous about doing it. He didn't have anything to worry about.... spectacular!

He took over the top rendition of this song to me from Whitney at the Super Bowl. He just made my hair stand on end again even after hearing it for the 4th time. My son, who died at 24, told me Cris was one of his favorites, so it carries some extra weight for me. Great job!

No matter how many times i hear The National Anthem it bring a tear to my eye.. But the version i could listen to all day long.
Chris was a song writer for many popular artists. His wife encouraged him to go out on his own, and so he did. The rest is history.
His reverence for the song is other worldly along with the beautiful phrasing of his guitar! Good review!

I knew once I heard Chris was going to play the national anthem it was going to get this sort of reaction. I've never heard another country singer who had such a voice and his time couldn't have been at a more needed time. Music has always had a sort of healing effect on people. To bring people together. Just seeing so many football players and coaches in tears when just a few years ago theu would have been kneeling. It was such a powerful moment for sports and the country.

Such a heartfelt and mesmerizing performance. His CMA performance of "Cold" is probably my favorite. What's not to love about his music. I did see an interview before he sang, and he was a bit nervous about doing it. He didn't have anything to worry about.... spectacular!
I didn't know about his interview before he sang, it sounds like that bit of being nervous is one of the reasons he does so well because it was also a form of humility & honesty!!! From the inner heart!!!!
I hope the reaction people are having to his performance will land him next year's halftime show. I liked this year's fine. No complaints. But for years, I have been waiting for them to get Chris up there. You know he would put on a show that would be unforgettable.
