For me I usually spread the leg a bit before exporting as fbx from daz3d this way it gets enough space not to tangle the meshes into both legs in terms of pants.
@@worldofzen3d Oh man that’s so obvious! Genius! I honestly always assumed if they weren’t in the perfect T pose they’d have issues. Will definitely try this tonight. Thanks
You have to apply the face with no brows bump and specular to face and lips in your ini profile to get rid of the bumped eyebrow on your model i saw at @4:05
It was intentional for me as I am placing another identical brows (or closer) so the normal map will help to enhance the visual. But yes if someone don't want the eyebrow normals they can either use the non normal maps through daz3d (if the model provides one) or can photoshop it. Thank you for pointing this out.
There are actually a lot of tutorials on yt regarding using metahuman or any supported 3rd party groom that can be used on cc4 or daz3d character. Check the link below, hope it helps. ua-cam.com/video/_FjBY0JvYCE/v-deo.html
Ok, so I'm an absolute fresh baby boy beginner in this stuff, but am I understanding correctly that you can import DAZ's 'uniquely created' character models into CC4 (without clothing), and you can then use CC4's hair, make-up and clothes, etc? Or is that a gross oversimplification and is this actually much harder than it looks? If I'm wrong, could you briefly explain why you wouldn't just generate the entire character in CC4?
Daz3d have various kinds of characters and skin and morphs that brings versatility on storytelling with high poly and quality characters that you can use as a hero characters (main and protagonists) that can be combined with reallusion marketplace clothing and hairs and if you got extra bucks to spare you can get a bit more push with skingen for a bit more edge on your character, for now if you bring G9 with clothing it distorts and no clothing there, I had tested there are once of twice of luck in terms of clothing but in general doesn't work. Hope it helps.
if you say this is functional then show this character HID Mia for Genesis 9 and we'll see if you bring genesis 9 characters in cc4 only victoria 9 is functional for the moment
Thanks for your video's man. Just wondering if you'll ever make a video on how to properly add gens and shells from Daz characters into CC4 or iC8? If I ever have gens on a character, it won't import to CC4 without the crash. I've got around this by exporting the gens separately and then attaching them to the character in CC4 and hiding polygons but that seems like a huge roundabout way of doing things.
At this moment G9 have issues with cloth so you can only import G9 without clothing, I checked the email photo and it seems one of your body part is hidden so that's why you are getting this error. Import it without any clothing and it will be fine.
@@henryqprodllc Best way to get rid of it is if the model have another set of face normal with no eyebrows, it will have no brows normal, or else you can always use any kind of image editing software such as photoshop to just paint it out and use it.
Here is a UA-cam short for the eyebrow normal issue, please check it out.

Learned allot from this video, like pointing to the textures folder directly, otherwise it was importing with only the base map
Great tip with the clothing not being applied, everything seems to just about work from DAZ 9 over to CC4 when they are not dressed yet.
I tried as the tutorial, but for head and body only textures are imported not bump, roughness & AO.Where I am wrong?
Is this your CC4 upto date or using old version ? Which version is this could you mention ?
I can import clothing just fine from Daz Gen 8's to CC4. The weigh painting is usually off with pants but otherwise it works perfectly.

I think that's how it supposed to be since reallusion itself don't have gens support on their mesh and models.
genesis9 is not functional in cc4 why mark this in the title.there is only victoria9 yes
Check your CC4 version, I already mentioned it need to be the November updated version which is 4.33.2315.1
Sir , When I import using cc3+ , its not showing me advanched option.

👍👍👍
Zen, can this be done with Gen 8 characters as well or is this technique just for Gen 9 characters only?
Absolutely.
@@worldofzen3dDo you happen to have a Discord channel?
@@henryqprodllc unfortunately no, I haven't started any discord group for this channel as I don't have enough time outside my work life.
@@worldofzen3d Ok. I tried this technique and it works great. The only thing was the normals for the eyebrows on the skin was poking out.
