He's pretty good at welding that fellah. I would not have been offended in the slightest to sit through a complete pass and backfill with the capping pass as well . Peter sure had something to say in that short bit. Thanks for sharing your knowledge cobber.
Even though I grew up on a farm until I was 15 I still learn from your videos.... interesting watching Peter weld with two rods ... and I try to learn the conrols of your D11 but it was difficult because you sped it up ... the foot pedals have me stumped at the moment 😏 ... thanks for taking the time and that you keep building subscribers and likes.😀
Great video...👍 Great to see you guys are practicing active land conservation, Keep up the great work... Yeah, we used x2 4mm LB's to weld old track pins on to the bottom of the teeth on our stick rake.
We did the 2 rods twitched together with wire (in a screwclamp handpiece) plus feeding in a bare rod to get to the pub on time on a Friday, we called it the Gapmatic 2000.
It very cool you making this saw the 6 rod configurations too👍👍. I was just wondering if you had tried COR-MET F25 1000 AMP 20MM ELECTRODE? They are about 1.2 meters long. I know nothing about them just watched them being used on UA-cam. All the info is on the net though. 😜👋
Hey neat trick using the two rods! Does anyone know why he's using rods rather than MIG? I've used sticks all my life so dont know how the two processes compare on a job like this. I know wind is an issue with coreless wire.Anything else?
He was using a mig as well and actually had 2 mig welders with different dia wire set up to do the new grouser plates. A video of it is on this channel.

I so much appreciate professionals, the people who keep the wheels turning.
The welding guy is amazing that weld he did with the two rods looks perfect love the videos
Thanks for a great video!

Thanks for the encouragement mate. Only foot pedal really used is the decelerator on the right👍 cheers
Next time I weld some bar onto a D 11 I’m definitely using two rods at once!
Great video. Just subscribed!
In the states we use two electrodes too but one is used just like tig filler, hand fed, in the same puddle. It’s usually called Texas tig.

That root pass looks excellent!! Never thought to use two rods at the same time.
That was a very clever welding solution!
Great video..love the welding techniques..100 point's somebodies got a smile on there face! Cj Uk

Thanks mate👍
You welder should get his own channel. Dual rod welding is genius 👍💪
Now that’s the difference between an hourly guy and a piece job guy. Lol if he’s hourly then he’s top notch
Learn something new every day, good on ya peter ! 👌🏻😎
That's genius. Add another couple of rods sideways above the first two and yerd nilly run the whole weld finished in one pass. :)

Call me a big kid, but god damn I love watching a dozer at work. My favourite machine to watch operate. Would love to operate one one day. 🙏🏼
Dozers are the hardest to be efficient with. Takes a while to get it.
Running the 2 ,16TC rods is fascinating
Tidy job by everyone on here!, great video mate! 👍🏻
Thanks mate 😁
That's using your head for something besides a hat rack
I always did that with flux core welding wire. .120 NS3M one pass, on each side!
Another great video Matt.
Thanks mate👍
That’s awesome. What a welder!
I know its time consuming but id love a longer video bloke! 👍
I usually aim for about the 15min mark but some weeks I’m not doing too much exciting stuff haha
@@thejacksonbrothers i hear ya, what you thinks dull, is totally new to us! Buy do what ya doin , ill tag along!
@@inlikeflynn673 cheers mate👍

Ol mate the welder seems to love the camera 😂
Be great to see what levers do what on the D11, how to operate video? Cheers Matt.
see" pa mining " on you tube ,he shows all the buttons
Awesome, thanks.
G'day Matt great video mate.
Thanks mate👍
The welder guy would laugh like hell if he saw my welds
Nice!!!!!
You don’t appreciate the size of the D11 on camera inside the cab, good tip on keeping the transmission cooler 👍🏻
So one stick is too slow. Let's try 2. That does sound very Australian.
😅😅😅
From the same guys that bought a 'spare' D11. What do you expect🤣
And it seemed to work Perfect!
Austarc cant beat em luv 16tc sweet as
👏👏👏👏🚜🚜

Outside......the breeze blows mig gas away. Stick is also some people's favourite, some of us old buggers love stick welding. Reliving ones youth!
Windy outside with mig. Need alot of gas
And cant beat the penetration for heavy stuff with STICK
on later vidoe cost was factor stick rods was cheaper than wire

Hi there we’re in Australia are you thanks
Hey mate, we are in northern Nsw
