the fact that I had the same epiphany today, realizing that I am constantly trying to remain in a state of happiness and it not working out. I then had to take a step back and realize that life wouldn’t be beautiful without the low or “static” moments; the good moments are good because of the bad. just thought I would share bc I find comfort in shared human experiences :)) much love!

Just related to your “overindulgence talk”, I feel like we constantly chase happiness in quantity. We always want more and more and it’s never enough. But honestly, happiness is peace. If you can be at peace with yourself, why ponder on what more you can do? Just live in present.

It is called self soothing and people do all kinds of things to make themselves feel better- food, shopping, binge watching shows, drinking, etc... It doesn’t help that we are constantly bombarded with advertising stating that if we only had xy or z we would be happier. You are on the right track with eating healthier, exercising, meditating and journaling! 🌸🌟🦋🌷

I‘m really sorry, but I have to tell you that the snake plant is highly toxic for cats. And if your cat eats plants, like you said, than you should better but it somewhere where she can’t reach it. Actually a lot of plants are toxic for cats. There are apps that tell you which ones are. I just wanted to warn you, cause my cat also ate a toxic plant and we had to go to the vet really quickly.
