It would be good to see how you put the tape... And how you glue everything... But the video it's quite good... Thanks...
Good point. I use a hot glue gun to connect the nut (bolt) to the neck and to connect the piezo to the license plate. I cover all the top wood with tape except where the piezo lands and the gound wire just sits on top of the tape. A drop of glue would't hurt here either. Hopefully I'll do better next time! Thanks for pointing that out! :)
Great music at the begin of the video. Maybey you got a lesson for this music? keep up the great work. Love your tutorials. Greetz from the netherlands.
Hi, nice the hear from the Netherslands! I do have a short "No Chat" lesson with tab for that :)ua-cam.com/users/shortsoI-D-3pTwwo
I got a bunch of licence plates from eBay.. I'm definitely going to give this a try 😊
We were having a discussion on a CBG forum on how to kill the extra sound. I was going to use felt under the screws , like drummers use to attach cymbals. But your approach seem simpler and effective. My question is, what type of tape was it? It looked thicker than electrical tape. And is it available in the big box stores like HD? I ask because I have some older plates set aside and hope to do a build this winter.
Cheers and thanks for the interesting videos. I just stumbled upon them.
Hi, it's just ordinary electrical tape. I'm careful not to stretch it when I apply it so it doesn't thin out. Good luck with your build and thanks for commenting 👍
I don't think I've seen vanity plates being used for the top before just old plates. Great video, love watching the build and the lesson/no chat videos. Thanks for putting them out there
You're so welcome! I can't take credit for the vanity plate though, my friend Jason was the first I saw.ua-cam.com/channels/Nx28rEOMa-F-wK1vGivCxg.html
