    7:36 if your carboy has too much headroom, try adding marbles.
    I recommend it highly 😊

      Excellent solution. Had been raking my brain for long to find a solution, but didn’t strike marble.
      Thanks.

    So far I've only had to rack out of primary, then from secondary into bentonite, then bottle using your recipe. I use a mesh bag.

    I have been making homemade wine off and on for almost 40 years and we share a lot of similarities making wine, the super clear was definitely a game changer for me and when it comes to squeezing your mesh bag it really doesn’t make any difference to me especially using the super clear and if I’m making a juice wine I will hardly ever use it some things you have to play it by ear, I really enjoy your videos keep up the hard work and thanks.

    I finally did first rack on sweet white wine (10 gal) & first rack on merlot (5 gal).
    It took over 45-55 days to reach my first Racking.
    I did this by myself & it was adventure plus fun.

    Thanks for the videos Todd. You have revitalized my joy of the hobby. Can you do a video of my favorite berry fruit and wine, Blackberry? There seems to be so many ways to make Blackberry wine and most are pretty scary! I really like the way your wine looks in the bottle and it always looks safe to drink, compared to many of the videos I have found. Thank You.

    It's me again. I just started a batch 6 gallons.
    Organic pineapple juice.
    Pineapples from pineapples
    1 peach
    1 Apple
    3 mangos
    1.100 SG
    After primary Fermentation,
    I will add bananas for a week after I rack off the fruit..😯 I didn't use a mesh straining bag.
    I should of frozen the apple and mango and peach.
    I did use campden tablets, pectin enzyme, yeast nutrient, yeast Energizer, acid blend.
    I think I am going to put a cheese cloth at the end of the racking tube when I rack to remove unwanted material.
    I was going to use a rubber band to fix to the end of the hose. Sanitized before.

    Do you have a video explaining what the wine tannin does and why you add it?

    • @HowToDoneRight
      @HowToDoneRight  10 місяців тому +1

      Wine tannins are for flavor. Not needed for grapes wines.

    Brent here in Alberta. Did up a batch of Rhubarb / mixed berry wine ( your recipe ). Looks and smells amazing. Wanted to back sweeten with pomegranate simple sugar ( mixture for taste and color ). Then fortify with wild turkey 101 1:4 ratio ( also stabilize ). Any thoughts ?

    I was wondering if you drink your fruit wine cold or room temperature, or both? Seems like some taste better at room temperature. I don’t think I have ever say what your preference is. Thanks.

    • @HowToDoneRight
      @HowToDoneRight  10 місяців тому

      That is a great question. Your right some taste better cold some are better room temperature. I like mine chilled but my wife likes room temperature so personal preference. But try differently.

    I froze my grapes I picked. I have enough for 5 gallons. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. I may add elderberry. Should I add in carboy or fermentation stage. They are dried. Can you tag me in your most recent filtering video.

      Add with your grapes in primary. Need to ferment them.

      I picked my Concord grapes sorted them and stuck in the freezer until I’m ready to brew. I am excited to know it will help out. Any suggestions to make a good Concord grape wine ? I have some dried elderberry I may add. Should they go into my fermenter bucket? Can you tag me in your most recent filtering video. I have the bentonite and the other clarify products
