This is the only product that keeps my hair straight regardless or humidity and sweating, i've been in Los Angeles for weeks and my hair is still perfectly straight, a win for all the sweaty girls🙏🏽
Thanks for this. You're confirming what I suspected, but didn't document as carefully as you. It also left my hair harder to manage the next wash. It was harder to get moisturizing conditioners to do anything for my hair, yet it still frizzed up between washes. It left my hair kind of hard and I think that's because it kept the inner hair shaft too dry, even though the cuticle was letting water in and creating frizz. It's a not for me. Glad it works for some people.
I have kinky 4a hair and this was a Godsend. I also like the Drybar liquid glass for coarse hair, it weighs the hair down more. But with the color wow I saturate my hair, apply a bonding oil, blow dry with my T3, flat iron with a titanium babyliss and curl with my T3. As far as my deep conditioner I just used my breogio. Using great products and great tools is what helps the most.
Thank you for sharing! Glad to hear you have a better experience with this product. What brand bonding oil do you use? Also I’ve just checked and we finally have drybar in the uk now 🥳 gonna check out your suggestion
I never leave comments on the hair video I watch, but I watched your first video of this product, and then this one, and I was just so impressed with how thoroughly you talked about all the points. I’m a very detail-oriented person, so I think you are like the best type of person for leaving reviews. You got a new subscriber from me today! 🙌
Thank you! Usually I get comments about how I give too much info 😂 but you are my kind of person. I always want to know every detail about stuff so that’s the content I make. Thank you for appreciating my style 💗
I bought this last week in extra strength on my hairdresser’s recommendation as she told me I have thick and frizzy hair 😏🙄 usual story really - when she used it my hair was amazing, soft and sleek and kept its shape, I tried it on Saturday and initially liked it but then my hair turned poofy by day two and dry, I don’t like the feel of it. Not sure if I’m using it wrong or what but just feels like another difficult product to get the best maximum results from unless you’re a hairdresser who has the skills! Sick of products like this, why can’t someone just invent something that works easily for the average user?
I don’t like the after feel either, but I still need to try the extra strength version for a review. Have you considered a keratin treatment if you’re having frizz issues? They really work for me
I just discovered the WOW products, I have grey silver curly long hair. I’m really happy with it thus far. That being said I’ve only use the product once I’ve shampoo twice and the minimalism in the frizz is amazing for me I live in Florida so the humidity is at least at 150 most days. I love the detox products, I shampooed and conditioned WOW and used the dream coat product. I actually used the curly dream coat and straighten my hair. Remember all products will work different on each person. For me, I would highly recommend it . Just keeping the frizz under control in Florida humidity, I’m sold !
That’s exactly what I did the first time. I mentioned my original video a few times in this one, but if you missed it just check my channel and you’ll find it there. Spoiler… it still didn’t work 😂 xx
@@Jaymfs ya but you put way too many products in this time. Just try a leave in conditioner and dream wow if it didn’t work alone. Blow dry with tension using a brush and flat iron.

(I also use the xtra strength because of my crazy frizz & curls) But enjoyed listening to your accent. Sending positive vibes from Boston.
I still need to try the extra strength version! I’m defo willing to give it another go, so interesting to hear you use the same product cocktail too. Thanks for sharing, sending love from London! 💗
I’ve heard that the white cap version is for straightening straight hair types and the version with the black writing and black cover is to straighten curly-kinky hair🤷♀️
I love your videos! I’m mixed race as well and have the same hair texture as you. It’s been very difficult to find a UA-camr with similar hair texture so keep the videos coming!!!
Well I just tried the stuff last night and I decided not to put a leave-in conditioner on or a heat protectant because I understand it is a heat protectant. I don't have a blow dryer with a brush so I used the ReVair dryer an immediately put some jojoba oil on after. I don't know anything else because it just used it but it certainly doesn't need to be any straighter so no flat ironing and there was no stickiness like I would experience with my regular heat protectant which is the IC Fantasia. I didn't do any water drop tests and it's not too humid right now but when I exercise it might get a little warm so I'll just wait and see. My hair does need moisture so I'm thinking that if water can't penetrate the strands how will I get moisture into my strands. I'm assuming the oil is just sitting on the top but I'm just waking up and will not be styling my hair until later because I'm expecting guests so I'm wondering if all of the oil just lit off or rubbed off.😂😂 the first shampoo after this sounds kind of scary.
You have to use the product without putting other things before it. The molecules are small and have to penetrate the follicle first. So if you’re using a leave in conditioner BEFORE the product, it may not get into the hair follicle all the way.
Please do the curly version 🫶🏻 I came across your video bc I was looking for a curly girlie who tried / compared both! Cannot find it and I think you should 😜
I’m not a curly girl, I just love your content. You’ll want to make sure you have sulfates in the shampoo you use to wash it out so that you don’t get silicone build up 😊
I know it's been ages since you commented this but I've just seen I forgot to thank you! I saw this comment and switched to a sulphate shampoo asap. Let me know if you have any non curly hair video requests btw xx
Ikwym when you were talking about applying products to your hair, even before applying heat. Often times, products like Color Wow, Olaplex, and K18 aren’t made with poc/textured hair in mind. We’re more of an after thought, if thought of at all. I just bought this product a few days ago and once it gets here I will be using product along with the Color Wow 😭😂
Let me know how you got on with this product! I've wanted to try olaplex and k18 for a while but feel the same way you said. I only ever see straight blonde haired people using those brands and I have no idea if it would work for me at all
@@Jaymfs Olaplex is okay but you definitely don’t need the whole system, I would for sure skip the shampoo and conditioner because there are better ones out there. I definitely think the bond smoother no.6 and the oil no.7 are worth a try. I did do some research on the brand and it does seem to only prove to be affective w/continuous use though. So I guess at least finishing the bottles. But K18 research says it starts working the moment you apply and working to rebuild damaged hair. I’ve used k18 and I can honestly say my hair did feel better after, given I have bleached my hair before, I could easily feel the difference it made after the first and especially the 2nd treatment. The only thing with K18 is that you can’t use conditioner after 😅😅😭. You have to wash your hair, towel dry it, and then apply the dime sized amount and then supposedly leave it alone. Obviously I cannot just do that and expect my hair to have a good wash day result. I read on their website that if you MUST use conditioner or styling products, you should wait a minimum of 4 minutes so the treatment has time to absorb into the hair. I say this one is probably the better try out of itself and Olaplex. Both are pretty expensive though. Also I live in Florida and it’s so humid and rainy here. The Color Wow held up pretty well in comparison to what it usually does. I used to just open the door and my hair would start trying to transform back into ringlets. Now, it’s just minor frizz and light reversion. I can just brush it away for the most part. Also super sorry for the long response lol
No 3 and 6. 6* is a leave-in no need to rinse out and 3 is a deep condition of sorts that you rinse out, both are bomb, bonding oil is great as well to be used as a serum. Ulta and sephora. EDIT
I've been using alone and it worked great. I can see if you use two different products before hand it may not absorb the Wow product. I use k18 on my trouble areas from highlight breakage. Very light to the bangs and ends.
@@Jaymfs thank you. Yes I saw it. But you are making a point on how for you using WOW alone didn't work. I was sharing how it did work for me as is. I have wanted yo use other products but my hair felt heavy and was oily faster. Thanks for the review. Love your content! Keep it coming.
I always have questions!! (since all my hair items are thanks to you since day 1) Firstly what hairspray brand do you use, and more specifically which one in that range is it? I also btw bought those straw cleaning brushes for the VKK (from Ebay), but they sadly don't fit in between the teeth😢 (So I went back to using a manual toothbrush 😅). Is there a certain brand you used? Thank you again for giving this item another go! ❤
My little brush just came with a tumbler cup so it's unbranded I'm afraid. I use elnett hairspray, the dark purple one that has argan oil in! It's not the strongest hold but it brushes out SO well and doesn't leave buildup like other hairsprays do xx
@@Jaymfs Aw shame about the brush, nvm! As for the Elnett hairspray, thank you so much!! I wanted to try it out first and get back to you. All I can say is that it smells delicious, doesn't leave any buildup like you said, and my hair loves it lol. I can't thank you enough! ❤️
I have curly hair, type 3A hair at the most, and I can't get it to be completely straight, as soon as I go outside my ends start to curl..... I have used this product (only once) and it keeps happening to me... any advice?
Does anyone else think it's a great product for people with the same hair type as curly and freeze tendency to use this product for humid and beach trips? I haven't tried it yet but I hate it when my hair turns into a puffy shapeless cotton candy texture when I visit the beach, LoL. And hoping this could help me manage my hair for special occasions at the beach and anywhere humid. I've been to a wedding by the beach and my hair was in a state. Now there's another upcoming wedding and I want my winter (another bad hair combo) wedding hairstyle to stay in place, LoL. And I'm someone with a sensitive scalp that can't wear up dos tight. Crossing my fingers 🤞🌊
What was your result?! I too struggle with bad beach hairs. I gave up and only tie my hair up on beach days so I’d love to hear your result even though your comment is half a year ago lol

I think it's a completely overrated product. I followed the instructions to a T and for some reason it left my hair feeling like wax. I didn't oversaturate it because I'm always skeptical of using too much of the product, especially new products, as I don't know how they are going to perform. I guess the waxiness is what makes it " waterproof " it did smooth the fly aways so I give it that. Thank God this is a every three to four shampoo product because I honestly don't think I'll be using it again.
