the first song I learned to sing in Italian at age 4 - over and over - while nana and nano clapped hands - joyful Italian spirit never fades -- how lucky we are to have such a wonderful heritage. Viaggio
I don't know how some of the people in the restaurant can just sit there looking bored. If I were there, I'd be smiling, tapping my feet and clapping along to the music. I love it!
Well, some poor souls are just not moved by music. Also, if you happen to be particularly prudish, the lyrics could be considered somewhat vulgar.
I love you Sicilian people
The Italians have the best music in the world! The best culture!
it's been 3 months since I discovered this video. I can't stop playing it! The most amazing Mandolin in the world----è stata di 3 mesi da quando ho scoperto questo video. io non riesco a smettere di giocare! la parte più sorprendente del mandolino nel mondo

Louis Prima has a good rendition of this Sicilian song.
I wonder if it’s Sicilian or a traditional 19th C. Folk song from Southern Italy. We’re Calabrese, Luzzi just south of Naples & my grandparents who were not well educated nor traveled much, taught my aunts, who taught us. Isn’t traditional culture handed down, a wonderful gift?
This song is playing in the wedding in "The Godfather" :D
I'm English and my fiance is African, when we get married I want this to be "our' song👍😁😁
Nana used to sing this to all the babies in our family
My zia Mary & Rose used to sing it to us. When we’d ask, why they laughed so much singing it, they’d say: “We’ll explain when you’re a little older.” 🤣
This song sounds sooooo happy that it is wrong. No One should be this happy!
A beautiful restaurant! And fine singing.

Daughter):
Mama dear come over here
And see who’s looking in my window
It’s the butcher boy and oh
He’s got a bundle in his hand
Tell me why he winks his eye whenever he goes by my window
(Mother):
Daughter daughter he’s in love and you’re in love
And love is grand
(Butcher Boy, spoken)

Something about marrying a baker, and he'll give you a cannoli,
and marrying a fireman, and he'll take his hose and hose you down.
I wish I spoke Italian.
