8:09 “What would he do? His policy would mean borrowing more, taxing more and taking us back to square one.” This sits at the crux of our political rivalry, and not once has it ever properly been addressed in Parliament. Our current debt-based monetary system engenders artificial division between left and right. The sitting government cheerfully emphasises what they have done and summarily ignores what they haven’t done, while the shadow government enters the chamber and takes an adversarial stance against the government on the basis of problems and deficiencies they have not addressed, and will never address as there is no incentive to admit to flaws when they regard the flaws as inevitable since, in their mind, it is predicated on the belief that “there is no alternative.” Do you notice what is at the root of the problem? Our social culture underlying the political discourse is cancerous in nature. Both parties wilfully choose to speak past each other rather than with each other in a fruitful, productive fashion. No constructive progress in political discourse can ever forge ahead unless the opposition entertain the assumptions of the opposition and objectively pick it apart to dispute the logic underlying their assumptions. Rather than be partisan, the political class and general public need to come to the realisation that it is the design of the current monetary system that puts an unnecessary wedge between people and creates narrow ideologies. We need to create a harmony of interests by merging the ideas of the left and right to produce a system that observes the desires of both. This can only be achieved in a debt-free monetary system; otherwise known as the system of national credit.
I absolutely agree. Both sides, whether we voted for them or not, are supposed to represent the will of the people, and the will of the people is not to shout at their neighbour. It's depressing to see them bicker endlessly in a to and fro with the goal of getting one over on the opposition, rather than problem solving. When the topic of cancer comes up, for instance, they all fall into line and hearhearhearrrrr. Why? Well, maybe they still have some sense of humanity, but I believe it's more because that's a red area - they risk catastrophic loss of rapport if they disagree. And it's only times like that that they behave in a constructive manner. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that they want to do something about it, but they bicker on everything else rather pointlessly, rather than critiquing positions in a civilised manner. So, they make their decisions outside of the commons, and come in only to shout at eachother. What's even the point of the commons, then? To entertain some of the foreigners in this comments section laughing their heads off at what they call comedy? Come on, that's not good. People in countries that haven't existed for one hundred years, let alone as long as ours has, are literally laughing at us because they have better behaved parliaments than us. That's really, really bad.
Demoncard Precisely. In matters concerning vulnerabilities of the human condition, you will immediately notice a seamless transition to a somber, composed demeanour throughout the commons chamber. It is only when the subject changes to matters relating to the budget that you will see, once again almost immediately, the mask fall off and a new mask that comprises sneers, cockiness, rowdiness, childish gestures, condescension and sardonic wit take its place. Why does this happen? Partly by virtue of the fact that the human condition is emotionally palpable and partly due to the perverse degree of lack of self-awareness at play. On the other hand, the budget is veiled in technicality and the tools involved behind the scenes are perceived to be entirely neutral and somehow a *default* in the proceedings rather than part and parcel of the problem reinforcing itself. Somehow the very mechanism which determines our economic system at its core is less interesting a subject to broach than a political debate that strictly revolves around the false dilemmas and artificially limited options the design occasion, and thereby leaving a nation perpetually ensnared in its illusory manifestation. Is it not utterly bizarre the fact that the political class, on all sides, tackle a problem within the framework of an assumed premise and avoid to look at the economic tools and institutional arrangements complicit in occasioning the problem in the first place? Instead the focus is zoomed in pictures of mechanisms that comprise the system in order to conduct a debate within its man-made parameters, rather than to take a systemic snapshot of the monetary design in an attempt to add, remove and rearrange elements that serve the purposes of political unity, not political tribalism which serves nothing besides ego; as a result encouraging a display of the worst qualities of the human condition. Surely it is not difficult to acknowledge the futility in trying to place a band aid on structural issues? Yet the perverse reality is that that no one poses basic, pertinent foundational questions such as, “why must a nation borrow its own money from entities that do not have any emotional ties or allegiance to the nation in which it is domiciled?” I think a lot of this disturbing phenomena boils down to intellectual laziness, but most of it can be pinned down to a cancerous culture that favours epic drama over serenity furnished by truth.

The remembrance poppy is an artificial flower that has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel who have died in war, and represents a common or field poppy, Papaver rhoeas. Inspired by the World War I poem "In Flanders Fields", and promoted by Moina Michael, they were first adopted by the American Legion to commemorate American soldiers killed in that war (1914-1918). They were then adopted by military veterans' groups in parts of the British Empire. Today, they are mostly used in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, to commemorate their servicemen and women killed in all conflicts. There, small artificial poppies are often worn on clothing leading up to Remembrance Day/Armistice Day, and poppy wreaths are often laid at war memorials.

This is like comedy hour. What Is with all the noise and interruptions? How rude, immature and childish! Why are there people that stand up behind the PM, before she speaks and after? What does that mean?
Tax the hell out of empty properties and unused urban land so that they are used or sold, sell Housing Association stock to residents and get rid of these (wasteful, corrupt) 'associations', and return to council housing as before - replacing crap on brown sites with decent, well insulated, well built council houses for reasonable rent. Do it! And don't waste money on advisors etc re. High streets/centres just lower charges all round (and no tax relief for big online companies none - tax them solidly like everyone else - now.)
Why sell off Housing Association properties? We've learned from the mistakes of selling off council owned property haven't we? It has caused a big problem for lower income individuals and the government as it means more people in private rented housing - higher rents and in turn higher benefit payments as lower income individuals usually are in and out of work.
I used to work with a woman that had social housing, she had a job, I was paying twice her rent, very unfair. Social housing needs a big audit and all these free loaders need kicking out on to the street, where they can pay full market price for rent like everyone else. Then social housing can be given to people that need it, old people and people with disabilities. Not lazy free loaders.
@@tomatobrush3283 If the woman you worked with was working then how was she a lazy free-loader? Your comment doesn't make sense. Social Housing is meant for people that can't afford private sector rents.
Why does she need social housing if she is working? She is lazy-free loader because she asks for social housing when she should be paying market price like all other people working. Social housing is meant for people that can not work because they are too old or have disabilities. Not for for people that have jobs but just want to pay less rent. If she can't afford a one bedroom flat in Islington then she should rent a room in a shared house like millions of other struggling working professionals. Too many people taking the social housing system for a ride.

I can see Jeremy Corbyn becoming the next prime minister. I like him. A man of confidence and determination in politics who knew it was possible.
Agreed
Agreed.
Yes let’s put the country into obscene debt
@@joebowen7769 UK debt is currently £1.7trn, 87% of GDP. This is up from 75% (£960bn) when the Tories took power in 2010.
Easier to ignore that and keep reading the Daily Mail though, innit?
@@archiveiteverywhere yes people are fast to think Labour will borrow more. Easy to ignore the facts about current debt levels.
9:55 not just headteachers your tax cuts have helped even ordinary teachers so thank you for doing a good job mrs. May
Do we really learn anything from PMQ,s?
Comments? Comments!!! What what!?
ORDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Get em John!
Lord God for how much longer must we endure this evil being?
Prime minister love how is talk !
It sounds all to good to be treu 😌
How is it possible to cut for the benefit and support in the same period off time. And than the depts subject as last. Who is gonna pay for the depts and who gonna put the fire down when the trades are not attractive anymore
11:00 What the hell is a Quemis, Jeremy?
I know this for sure, if I had a interview and I er erred multiple times like Theresa May did, my ability for that position I applied for would be questioned.
ovvvv, yeahhhh sounds coming background, what an unserious environment or maybe I am not used to british politics.
Keep it prime minster
103 comments and not 1 mention of His Holiness Nigel Farage. Brexiteers, wherefore art thou?
be a good day when we leave the eu
Robyn Hoode is this the same guy who spewed up lies about leaving the EU and when his lies came to light, he hid?
Yes 'tis he. No longer down the boozer, more likely in Bermuda.
S ir Nigel is touring the country, rating the peoples army to ensure the referendum result is carried out as per the winning option on the ballot paper.
LEAVE MEANS LEAVE NOW.
Now who is anti-democratic
All sides are being watched by the people. Who is a true Patriotic democratic person worthy of our support?
I come here just to watch her debate with Corbyn.
I'm Scottish, but that guy who asked the question was an embarrassment on a few levels..
I admire Britain for democracy and discussion in the parliament. In Russian there is no discussion and democracy is the word that we never used
Comment section enabled? What could possibly go wrong? British Politics look as fucked up as ours over here in the USA.
Nothing really unexpected here.
My goodness, comments are allowed! It it like witnessing the occurrence of a new generation! May the kingdom prosperous as ever!
better of from 2010, things are more expensive so there not really saving are they ?
shes so out of touch she thinks a freeze in fuel duties will help the worst off - the worst off don't even have cars because you can't run a car on 75£ per week. the poorest people are ignored like they don't even exist to the torys.
Never ever trust a tory.
Needs more Jacob Rees-Mogg!
In my mind where has this money all come from plus if they have just found this money it doesn’t say much for the government accountants! Did they lose it.
Many things are 'lost'. 140 files for a start. Bet she could find 'em again if necessary.
Few of us will benefit from the Budget again. If you earn £35501 or more then yes the 2019 increase to £50000 before you pay 40% tax will make those better off. So, as usual, all I get is the personal allowance increase...Thanks for very little again.
That's about £130 A year haha.......aren't we lucky!
@PAGE 😃........hard to decide lol!
Hammond’s face haha
They behave like children.
She lies! Oh Jeremy Corbyn -Go Jezza!
El parlamento británico parece un parvulario.
This is like comedy hour. What Is with all the noise and interruptions? How rude, immature and childish! Why are there people that stand up behind the PM, before she speaks and after? What does that mean?
If you want to speak, you must stand.
One of the more "lively" PMQ's that I've seen, in a while. 🤓 ha
@@tomatobrush3283 You are misguided on so many grounds I'm not going to try and debunk but just laugh instead😄
British Parliament is my Wednesday commedy show..I love it .. Jeremy is a real man to lead uk..Am an African
ivan jolly
If your an African then you should know what socialist tyranny does to the lives of people.
the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money - Margaret Thatcher.
Captalism is killing Africa..I suppose a mixed a economy is better... Corporations are bigger than politicians..They make them dance to their tunes..
Wow, comments!!?
Any kweshene I can answer
The 31 October 2019. We are going to leave the EU and deliver Brexit.
How many more promises will the conservatives break next time in charge? Everything from schools to the NHS are getting crushed. Ima go back into voting and JC will get mine. Sick on this!
Ali The Ali you talkin shit bro, he is an imbecile with Abbot at the helm doing the maths😂😂😂😂😂😂
Order😎
If the Tories are serious about good governing, they must squeeze the current labour leadership out of parliament next general election and that includes JC DA etc.
There is a big shock coming to the spend all dossers, it is going to be a much bigger crash than ever before, so prepare yourselves, lift your eyes up from them bloody mobile phones
Corbyn couldnt organise a farting competition in a Brussle Sprout factory
Do you really trust May's government and it's stab happy approach to pretending to run this country? I appreciate that you've not spoken against May so it's not a loaded question.
paulanderson79 i dont like may but at the mo she is prime minister . I am an avid fan of Jacob Reese Mogg . I come from a working class background but fell out of love with labour in the late seventies and have watched their dissasters ever since as for corbyn he wont even sing the narional anthem tosser
@@mikedewberry672 - shame your grammar and intelligence is compromised as it is already. I'd high hopes for you until I read your whole post. JRM? Really? What's the appeal? Fetishist who has his childrens' nanny dress them in late Victorian pastiche. And allows photos to be published. More worrying that you appreciate these things. You choice, Mike. Do as you choose. As will I.
Exactly.
Do you know the first verse of the national anthem, Mike? Would it surprise you to know that most don't? Even during my time in the army, most didn't.
As for Paul's comments on Mogg. I don't dislike him. He's another conviction MP, and I'm sure you'll agree we need more of the likes of him, and the old labour MPs, otherwise, less and less will get done in the commons because everyone will be too busy toeing the party line. How he dresses his children is entirely his business.
Also, although I don't agree with some of what he says, Mike didn't insult you in his posts, which he made in good faith, so I find you insulting his grammar and intelligence to be in very poor taste, especially considering you yourself misplaced an apostrophe in your very first sentence. He may be less intelligent, but I would sooner invite him to tea than you, because he doesn't start his responses by insulting the other person.
Unless it was you he was calling a tosser, and not Corbyn, in which case, I would invite neither of you.
Love corbyn
Why do MPs stand up all the time?
I believe its to let the speaker know, that they wish to speak. American here so take that as you will.
How is it possible that education in the UK is a thing to discuss.
Education only for the ones who really want. Espacially know you need found a good budget for the independed UK. Jobs and work learning places are more good for the familys. A father or mother whitout a future perspective is useless having there kids at schools. So they are taking care off parents in the UK. Useless things.. firts thing first
For all of thise who arnt from the U.S., just saying the head rabbi for the tree of life sinagog has fully welcomed Presadint trump to his congragation any time, and dose not blame him for the shooting
Can't help but notice how well behaved the pro and anti Brexit Tories have been the last week. I smell a stitch up.
I also detect something going on between McDonnell and Cob? Is there some problem in the utopia that I have not heard of?
Alas, I guess we are just going to have to sort out the mess of Chequers post-brexit. It may take us years, but we will eventually be free of the EU.
wrong move lad, enabling the comment section would certainly making this content a definite joke.
YYEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.
Ohh so you lot will discriminate on Eu citizens living in uk?
I won't personally. I hate this bloody government and it's xenophobic racist attitudes. I'm ashamed to be British.
The PM declared that no matter what, EU citizens rights will be kept
paulanderson79 You don’t need to stay, you can leave
@@adamdaher2292 Leave what? If you mean leave The UK because I don't like Brexit then that's wrong. I was quite happy here before the referendum so perhaps the mob rule Brexiteer's should have quit prior to June 2016. Whether you fit that category is entirely your choice.
paulanderson79 No I mean leave since you are ashamed of your nation which is far from perfect but is still much better than other countries
why dont the world wake up. the truth is the worlds monetary system has come to a end and is now a out dated concept. humanity needs to evolve with times and go to a open world economy this will get rid of 99% of crime get rid of poverty and help humanity reach its true potential.
No it won't lol as it will still be owned by those that own the powerful and wealthy institutions now. What you are calling for is a world economy run by the World Bank and UN - the New World Order. You are either very stupid or very dangerous.
