  • Here is a short clip of my Robot Lawnmower from Worx doing a perimeter cut.
This is its 3rd year of service to our Lawn
    Model: wr1303
So far its traveled 500km cutting our lawns.
It has 2 zones (visits one every other day) - the mower works within the perimeter wire and randomly travels to cut all the grass.
My FULL review of this Worx Landroid can be seen here: • WR130e Landroid Worx L...

Hello. Nice video. Can you plrase tell me how you managed to move make the mower move from one zone to the other? Did you encounter any issue with the beton pathway? (Ex. Blade damage) I am interested to buy one but I have also 2 zones separated by a pathway. Thank you in advance!

I used an angle grinder to trace the wire into the Patio Slabs (after i had them held with tape first to trial) No damage to the wire has happened since install. The Wire at the entrance/exit to the pathway is about 10cm apart but the Landroid still finds this and escapes to the other zones occasionally.

Also, you can set 'Zones' - Basically this is simply a TIMER facility until it starts cutting after a user-set delay period so it will start to cut within a certain area.

@@notnarbrovert got it. Thank you. I am waiting now to get mine delivered and "play" with it. :)

How close is your wire to upright boundaries? I find mine doesn’t cut close enough to it. Mine is 26 cm

It varies around the garden. Some are 26, others are 15 (I moved it closer after monitoring each time it passed.

    Hello,
I have similar issue as you. So there is some "road" like 10 x 1 m between zones which I would like the Landroid to use and move between them (2 zones).
My issue is that in this "road" I have tiles and I could only put the wire on both sides of them (or together), but it will be hard for me to put it like 15 cm away. So I am thinking whether it would be possible to make some 15 cm entrance to this "road area" ... then I can make it wider on the side of the tiles... so that the wires will be 80 cm away from each other ... and then on the entrance to the zone 2 I will narrow it again 15 cm (just before entrance) .... would it work ?
But if it gets to this space occasionally as you say ... it would mean that it would start cutting this area (10 m x 80 cm between cables? ) This would be wasting of time and energy ;)

You're right... It would bounce around within that space. It still sees it as a cutting area. You could Tape the wires in place and perhaps put some Fake Grass over it for aesthetics?

@@notnarbrovert what if I make no space between the returning cable. Would the landroid follow such doubled wire for entering zone 2 ?

      Good question.
I think it repels the device but I’d lay it down with tape as a trial to test.

@@yanioo if you lay the wire 1:1 different orientation to it = it should be invisible totally as it is used to make an island inside an mowing area if you have a Tree inside it..
parrallel to the middle then small round 1,5m and then parralel back pretty much "P" shaped if you look form the sade makes the "I" direct path invisible and the worx mows around that like it would be the boundary
