Many thanks for this excellent and thought-provoking introduction to this masterpiece which has enhanced my understanding and appreciation of a piece I've known for 50 years. (BTW Jane Manning told me she thought this was one of her best recordings.)
Very cool! Thank you! I'm studying composers like Stravinsky, Schoenberg, and Cage right now and you've really opened my eyes to even more cool stuff about this fascinating, weird music. If you have anything to say about Stravinsky, especially Rite of Spring, I'm eager to hear. Thank you for this excellent video. I imagine I'll watch it many times.
Here's a link to my complete Arnold Schoenberg playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLRxr3feFPHKBXJngGPH4nn43P1lPnDe4U.html

I ain’t that much of an art guy so im confused why youtube recomended me this but don’t let me discourage you keep up the good work .
Might as well poke around here and see what's hiding in the dark corners! (I'll bet it was the image of the painting that sent it your way.)
I would always vote for the separation of music and lyrics. It just makes for a better understanding and you are not told how to feel the words.
