The one I want to see is where the enemy is the one working hard to beat plot armor. (Also, Overlord isn't really something you can call as "Hardwork" since the MC could easily end the world with minimal preparation if he is willing to take risks) So those still fall over to the idea of "Antagonist is being haplessly being beaten black and blue by the Protagonist where they can't beat the Protagonist". Point is, I'm interested to see the Antagonist beating the good guys. You can suggest Manhuas/Mangas, Anime, or even novels. I take them all.

Reverend Insanity (Incomplete classic): There are several times where the main character is manipulated or defeated by dying or being captured several times. 2. EMPRESS: A World Conquest Isekai (Stub): In this story, the protagonist is shamefully defeated near the end of the second volume and practically all her plans destroyed. However, she quickly recovers and takes revenge. 3. Daughter of Death - A Necromantic LitRPG (On going): I think this story is the closest to what you are asking for. Here the protagonist has to plan very carefully or she will be in trouble with the antagonists who will also create plans to capture or kill the protagonist (and several of them work). Actually thanks to what you have said I have realised that I hardly know stories like this, if you have any recommendations I would appreciate it.

He simply took the form of his friend so he could experience life without the Good Gods interference.
