Got the deck for free for an ulti i pulled that day at locals Yes I know the decks are cheaper than the ulti by 10 ish bucks Figured I would give the guy a good deal from being an all around great player for advice and stuff
Traptrix player here. Actually i left yugioh, a long time ago, after finishing the middle school, since when the first dragon lords deck came out, being my last structure deck bought. In the meantime on the videogames, i started playing with plants, giga plant, lonefire and so, around the 5Ds era, and around there, i stumbled upon Rafflesia. She became a staple on my early salad decks. Then past march came aout the Traptrix deck, wich immediately drew my attention. I bought the 3 copies, and just then i started to build competitive decks, with the help of videos like this one. Although i like Dragon Maids, Labrynth and fairy tail charmers, as i like to call it, a lot, Traptrix is my main, and surely wiil remain like this for the foreseeble future.
Can you explain the Torrential Tribute thing? Why are my Traptrix monsters not effected by this? It is not a "hole" normal trap. Is it because of Rafflesias effect? Thanks in advance and thanks for the great video. It helped me a lot :)
Ah, I have almost the whole extra deck minus Accesscode and Zeus (getting it soon, though). Redoer is cheap to get and Cowboy, I get is to win so I hope it gets a print soon.
Great profile! Two questions though, what are your thoughts on 1 Holeteea versus 2? Do you think Venusylph Forests and Hills are good additions to the deck?
Holetaea is too good to not play at least 2, and I don't think the Vernusylphs do more for the deck than it was already doing, especially in a format with Ash.
Dependent on your local meta tbh, but things like D Barrier, Eclipse, and other Kash breakers are staples. I'm also fond of Anti-Spell since it's a free win vs Branded and you only play 1-2 spells if you're on Prosperity, which can also dig for it.
Any thoughts on running the Therion package? Or the minimalist version? Seems kinda important to end on an omni negate so you don’t auto lose to evenly matched
@@AuroraYGO Give it a shot, you might like it The minimalist version only needs Regulus in the main so not nearly as many bricks Lots of decks maining Evenly now after all, and an Omni negate is just good in general
@@YohananYGO Ptolemaeus needs 3 monsters to make it, and the artifact monster isn’t an Omni negate, also its effect just changes an effect to destroy your backrow which isn’t ideal in a Traptrix deck
I've been play testing 1 atrax and if you draw into alot of trap hole cards you use Sera to special summon atrax on your opponents turn then play all you trap holes from hand and your traps can't be negated its pretty solid way to get past omni negates like baronne or dragoon by hitting them with floodgate trap hole
Funny you brought up cowboy. Last time I was at locals a guy summoned 2 level 4 natural, and his opponent activated branded in red for masquerade dragon. They went into time and he summoned cowboy after masquerade was summoned and won.
That's the neat part, you don't! Best bet other than side decking Judgment is to keep Sera and then use Sera in a new chain to get another monster and a trap, since you can at least have follow-up. Plus a lot of combos have Holetaea and Pudica in GY so you can at least make a disruption.
The 3rd copy of exceed would stay a rank 8 if I'm not mistaken because it wouldn't be summoned by another exceed effect so I don't understand why people run it at 3 I find 2 to be way better
@Aurora [YGO] yeh but after you use the first 2 the 3rd copy won't ever become a 4 when you link summon as it only will summon itself to whatever arrow the monster points to but thus it stays as an 8 instead of going down to 4
Needle Ceiling is pretty good too. The fact that can be activatable at anytime makes it a great Trap Trick target. But I understand your build isn't a trap build.
Hey quick question, what could you cut for third nib and ash? I feel like they’re too good to play at 2 Thanks a lot for the vid, I’ve been looking for a build that looks this good for three days lol
Are you or anyone you know going to play this deck?
I am thinking about getting back into paper yugioh and using this to start things off.
how about the side?
Got the deck for free for an ulti i pulled that day at locals
Yes I know the decks are cheaper than the ulti by 10 ish bucks
Figured I would give the guy a good deal from being an all around great player for advice and stuff
I am thanks
Me
For kashtira i would probably play 2 floodgate trapholes over 2 gravediggers
Undoubtably. Although they do have a lot of in hand monster effects…. Man these hole ratios are tough for my brain lol
I would play lancea honestly, stops their whole gimmick

I love your channel man! You got me into bird up and now I'm gonna play this!!
So do you think you should play tornado dragon if you don’t have exciton knight
What do you think of aromaseraphy jasmine, rikka queen strenna, and sacred tree beast hyperyton as a combo line?
Tbh I feel as though the Therion package ends up being better!
don't you need more copies of floodgate and traptrix trap hole nightmare?
I'm planning to play it. Just still waiting for it to arrive at store

Or i guess that the Xyz and Link monsters are all not effected by traps :D
Is because Rafflesia prevents traptrix from being destroyed by battle and effects. Also Extra deck traptrix are immune to traps at all.
Been waiting for this :D
Ah, I have almost the whole extra deck minus Accesscode and Zeus (getting it soon, though). Redoer is cheap to get and Cowboy, I get is to win so I hope it gets a print soon.
Side picture of “Main deck” say 3x Atachnocampa but in video you say 2?

Holetaea is too good to not play at least 2, and I don't think the Vernusylphs do more for the deck than it was already doing, especially in a format with Ash.
Holetea is a must 3. Worst case scenario you discard one for other to gy and later use it to summon something
How do you feel about adding Fenrirs and Gozen match to the deck?
Fenrir I don't really have a comment on but Gozen is in the side
What are your thoughts on using Dragonbite for lvl 8 (potentially 11) synchro plays?
Personally not too big a fan on splashing Synchro stuff, but we'll have to see how other players fare with it!
how would you build a side for this ?
also a guide on what to side out or in and for what match up be nice too please and thank you

Tbh I haven't tested Therion package myself so I don't really have an opinion.

You can use Ptolemaeus and make artifact xyz to stop that even if you can't stop it it trigger sera

@@hiddenfog180 it won't do anything if you have campa and it needs 2 if you attach in end phase
I personally use
3 myrmelo
2 mantis
2 pudica
2 dionea
2 archnocampa
1 nepenthes
1 genlisea
1 vesiculo
Monsters

does the deck work with not many spells?
Against Branded, Terrifying is surprising useful to destroy Mirrorjade and prevent its End Phase field wipe effect
The 3rd copy of exceed would stay a rank 8 if I'm not mistaken because it wouldn't be summoned by another exceed effect so I don't understand why people run it at 3 I find 2 to be way better
If you special eXceed from hand by its own effect it becomes a 4, otherwise the first copy wouldn't work.

It doesn't matter which effect it is, it's still being summoned by an effect of eXceed, so it'll be 4 lol.
@Aurora [YGO] thank you sir for the clear up I love your channel for this reason
What are you siding?
Combo video next!!!!!!! :D
Shhh it was supposed to be a secret 😂
Seeing a this deck kill cashtera is so satisfying
Needle Ceiling is pretty good too. The fact that can be activatable at anytime makes it a great Trap Trick target. But I understand your build isn't a trap build.
It's one of my favorite Ghostrick cards :)
Honestly I like Torrential myself mostly bc it can be used even with less Monsters on board.
Gravedigger is very weak right now. Floodgate trap hole should be at 2
True its only for playing nib save turn one
Hey quick question, what could you cut for third nib and ash? I feel like they’re too good to play at 2
Thanks a lot for the vid, I’ve been looking for a build that looks this good for three days lol
Hey there, there was definitely a third Ash in the video and for Nib you could just play an extra card in main lol
@@AuroraYGO Thanks a lot! ^^ Btw last thing, thoughts on talents?
Love Talents, couldn't find the room tbh.
@@mythoslys429 you could cut one pudica you dont need it to much at 3 i am testing with two and find it just fine

This is true, simply open double Torrential 😉
