Before the carbon tax, gasoline and diesel were already taxed greater than 40%. The breaking point was already reached. Governments knew they couldn't go further, except for these clowns.
People forget that the carbon tax was not applied once, but THREE TIMES. And there will be a forth. It adds up, so to say that it has no impact on inflation is bonkers.
By 2030 we will spend more on the taxes on gas, than the actual price of gas itself.
And GST onto of their carbon tax . Is it a good or a service....lol
And still we have giant forest fires emitting more "carbon" into the atmosphere than the entire economy...
Also do not forget the NEW clean fuel initiative. To reduce the carbon effect of fossil fuels they are adding more ethanol to gasoline, palm oil to diesel and hydrogen to natural gas. Those adders are not free and the cost is passed onto the consumers. The other problem with those adders is it reduces the thermal output from those fuels so you have to burn MORE to get the same output. Every one of those fuels is sold by volume so you will end up paying more for less again.

More than 60 years ago we came to Canada. My parents had saved money and paid for everything. They rented an apartment. They got factory jobs. They saved their money and were very careful how they spent their money.
Trudeau grew up having money and everything else. Hence he does not understand how to manage money.
My father became met a Russian man where he worked. Soon my parents were best friends with his family. The man was married with two children. He forbid his wife to work because he wanted her at home to look after the children. He worked three shifts - days evenings and nights. He walked to work. He managed his money very well. He was able to buy a car and a house and his wife never worked. Later in life he bought himself a nice bungalow and rented it out. Some years later he sold it at a nice profit. He later bought himself a hobby farm. It was incredible what he accomplished!
Trudeau never had it so hard. It is so easy for him to impose a carbon tax on hard working people. As prime minister he is paid enormously well and lives free too. What can he possibly understand about how hard people work to have something? He has always been immune to hard work and sacrifice. He strives so hard to sound important and how hard he is working for Canadians. It is all nonsense - right?
Now I can tell you that the politicians especially Trudeau have taxed away the good life we once had. We did not mind walking a mile or two in all kinds of weather to go to work and working three shifts. It is because we got to keep our money and make a good life for ourselves. Trudeau has destroyed the good life.

That is because the employers are encouraged to hire new arrivals with tax funded subsidies. Tru doh is using your money to guarantee your kid can't get a job so he can build a voting base. Tim Hortons stock has grown from 50 bucks to 100 bucks since this started and it is on our dime.

The point is that we don't need to be using tax dollars to subsidize wages for allegedly needed workers which encourages employers to avoid hiring citizens because it greatly increases their profits.

I knew back in 2015 that Trudeau was nothing but a nice head of hair with surname brand recognition. I had seriously low expectations.
