(She did not have a lawn mower for me to trim it myself, so...) One day as I was outside, I heard a lawn keeping service down the street, around the corner. I walked down there to speak to the Afro-American man who was mowing the yard. I spoke to the man about doing the work. He apologized and told me that he was just about to quite for the day. -- I reached in my pocket and placed a 50$ bill in his hand and told him, "Here's 50 bucks to get it done!" He looked back up to me with a smile, "What address did you say needed cut?" :-D He got the work done well, I shook his hand for his good work and we went our separate ways. When my girl got home from work, she was so happy I was plastered in kisses by her! :-D

I don't live in America but where I am all different ethnicities and faiths mix together which creates a community of acceptance. We don't bash eachother and instead help eachother because why should the colour of our skin change anything? Not an excuse by any means but it is steange that the slave trade was started and maintained by African tribes giving their criminals and unwanted civilians to the British and Americans but that is never talked about. Nonetheless, skin colour doesn't mean anything and all it creates is a breeding ground for racism and hatred.

When I discovered chicken and waffles some years ago, that blew my mind. We Canadians love our maple syrup and to combine it with fried chicken is pure genius. Put that in my Canuck gift basket with some salmon, blueberries, Nanaimo bars, poutine, Montreal smoked meat, peameal bacon, ketchup chips, tourtiere, and a Bloody Ceasar.
