I just checked this guy's Wikipedia page and wow, it's an adventure. The best thing is the ending. "Barsky lived in Schaghticoke, New York until 2016. He now resides near Atlanta, Georgia, with Shawna, and their daughter, Trinity, born in 2010. The FBI agent who lived next door and interrogated him after his detainment became a close friend and godfather to Trinity."

Real spycraft is incredibly boring, because if anything exciting happens, it's because something went catastrophically wrong.
Keep in mind, we don't want realistic depiction of spycraft. We want unrealistic flashy spies that everyone spots from across the room, and know by name/drink order. Because if everyone knew how to actually do it, we'd have a lot more spies.
It's funny, I know James Bond isn't 'real' but the latest 007, Craig, was exciting probably because he was the sloppiest.

Also, prison is different for people who are not from affluent backgrounds. They would think differently bout these shows. That is the perspective we would like to see.

Better for it to be the final season than for them to drag it out endlessly, if that happens, really good shows can become really bad shows.

Most spies are just ordinary people doing what they believe is right for their country, no matter where they are from... I learned from this guy's wiki page that the FBI agent who eventually uncovered him is now one of his best friends and actually acts as the godfather to his youngest child :D

I'll never forget when I saw a real Soviet spy after the screening of "Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy". He told the theatre audience what it was like to be a spy in West Germany during the Cold War. He was an engineer, graduate of our Technical University; they got him in his final ear there.

You know what would be a fun sitcom? A neighborhood of nothing but spies all assigned to watch each other. Like one guy who works at a bank is actually an Mi6 agent, the Turners work for the CIA, the young businesswoman is actually Chinese intelligence (they don't have a name for that), and they're all supposed to keep an eye on each other. It could be hilarious
