I sat front row at one of the last shows at one of that last tours he did. Incredible experience. Just a little coffee shop with Edwin and his sax player.
When I was just out of high school my boyfriend and I went to see him in concert. My bf wasn't feeling well so we had to leave early and missed this song. The next day as I was leaving work Edwin's tour bus was in the parking lot next to my building. It had some mechanical issues. The band was all sitting outside on their instrument cases. So I walked over and they played this song for me since I had missed it the night before. It was amazing and they were so nice and down to Earth.
Now he’s just living his best life here in South Carolina. I’ve never personally met him but friends of mine have ran into him at gas stations and Dunkin Donuts. Lol He actually married a girl from the church I grew up at.
This song makes me want to cry now. It used to just make me think back and smile but now with the person this song reminds me of is gone I just want to cry. We haven't been together for more than 20 years but I'll always be one of his biggest fans. Gone too soon and it hurt. Still love him as a friend and the thought of the world without him just hurts. I'm sure everyone who knew him and loved him in some way feels this way.
Apparently this song came about when he was at a bar one night and a guy was trying to pick up a girl and he said I’ll be your crying shoulder he jotted it down and built a song around a pick up line from a dive bar
Heard him tell the same story, he said the guy was steadily striking out. And told the girl when she talked about her problems “awe honey i’ll be your crying shoulder”
@@KentuckyGirl381 I gave it a shot once, it did not work. That said, the entire bar ended up singing the song about 3 minutes later and that was awesome.
I bought the CD this song is on after reading an article in Rolling Stone about it; haven't listened to it in ages, but memory stirs the ashes & it all comes back. *I like the sax too
Yesss!! One of the best reactors out there reacting to one of the best songs ever. Man I miss the 90s! Hope you get other channels started on doing this song. Thank you🙏🏼for this
They don't write a lot of songs like this anymore because most people don't know the true meaning of the word love anymore. Try matchbox 20 or Rob Thomas for some good lyrics.
Thank you for everything this reaction...I actually dated Craig shields...the sax player, back in this time... what a great guy .. great band... great people... and... AMAZING TALENT AND PEOPLE... LOVE your reaction ❣️
This is mine and my husband’s song!! Over 13 years now!! We didn’t pick it but we couldn’t have picked a better one! Here in the south where I’m from anyways, traditionally couples don’t pick their song. “Their” song is whatever song they first slow danced to together.
Also Soul Assylum's runaway train it reminds me of my lil sister whos 22 but has already had too many issues with drugabuse you need to watch the offical video and see the missing/runnaways pictured they were real life pictures and the song helped brong some home. and Broken by lifehouse
BYSC, I think you should react “The Story “ by Brandi Carlile. It seems like every song I really love, you do too. “The Story “ has such a great & lovely meaning. You would love it.
That music video has about 1.7 mil views just by me. I could watch those parts where he's close-up gazing at the camera literally for eternity & still get that first crush, weak in the knees, heart skipping a beat thing. I'd have died in his arms happy at any time in my life! 😍💕🤤💋
Always loved this song! Keep them coming man! Could do "You'll Always Be My Baby" by Sara Evans? You will not regret it! Gotta warn you though, BYSE will make an appearance.
Awsome dude. True there not songs like these anymore but lucky for us, we can find these gems on youtube. Some recomendations: Train "calling all angels" and "play that song", Five for fighting "Heavens knows", The script "superheroes", Ryan Cabrera "True" and "On the way down" , Evan and Jaron "crazy for this girl", Tal Bachman "She's so high", Deep Blue Something "Breakfast at Tiffany's", Counting Crows "Big yellow taxi", Blind Melon "No rain" ... i stop for now :)
Please react to. Bryan Adams have you ever really loved a woman... tells exactly how a woman should feel when you are in a relationship. Also good is everything I do, I do it for you by him as well
"That saxophone is gonna get you pregnant!" 🤣
Craig is an awesome guy... the whole band and crew are awesome people...
It does that to everyone! It was everywhere there for a minute. You couldn’t get away from it.
Agreed, it's such a catchy tune.
I sat front row at one of the last shows at one of that last tours he did. Incredible experience. Just a little coffee shop with Edwin and his sax player.
Edwin Mccains "I Could Not Ask for More" is my wife's and my song. We danced to it at a live outdoor venue about 16 years ago.
I love that song so much!
This song was in the Cinderllea story that stared Hillary Duff.
Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray basically stole the show in "A Cinderella Story."
Edwin McCain is a great singer/songwriter! One of the best to do it! 💪💪💕💕
Love Edwin McCain....he was in a band called Hootie and the Blowfish with Darius Rucker before they went solo
When I was just out of high school my boyfriend and I went to see him in concert. My bf wasn't feeling well so we had to leave early and missed this song. Edwin is one of my favorite singer/songwriters. THANK YOU so much for reacting to this song. ❤️
I love when you listen to these old song that I've loved forever. I like seeing someone else appreciating them.
This one of those songs that everyone thinks they never heard but then that chorus kicks in and every single person ever knows it.
"Could Not Ask For More" is another great one of his.
I love this guy... I used to listen to his songs over and over... a beautiful voice..
Now he’s just living his best life here in South Carolina. I’ve never personally met him but friends of mine have ran into him at gas stations and Dunkin Donuts. Lol He actually married a girl from the church I grew up at.
A lady I used to go to church with graduated with him over in Greenville, SC.
I feel like this was in every movie in the early 2000s...
That Dawsons Creek Finale though . My heart is still pounding 😪
Love this song.

Growing up I always wanted this to be the song I danced to at my wedding. Beautiful song, love 90s music so much

Edwin has tons of great songs. I listen to all his albums on a loop..
I bought the CD this song is on after reading an article in Rolling Stone about it; haven't listened to it in ages, but memory stirs the ashes & it all comes back. *I like the sax too
This is a great song. Especially the bridge.
Another South Carolina guy who has very well for himself!!!

To be fair, he wrote this song after hearing a dude trying to hit on a girl in a bar. ua-cam.com/video/laU_KCmLYqA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=101.9KINK.FM

Been a long time since I’ve heard this. Great song. Should listen to Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik.
That saxophone will get you pregnant lmaooo I’m dead

Awesome. Thank you.
This is my "save your life" song.

Solitude with Edwin McCain and Darius Rucker!!
React to some “Theory of a deadman” they are a band that nickelback signed.
That music video has about 1.7 mil views just by me. I could watch those parts where he's close-up gazing at the camera literally for eternity & still get that first crush, weak in the knees, heart skipping a beat thing. I'd have died in his arms happy at any time in my life! 😍💕🤤💋
Sara Evans (country singer) did it as well. He’s friends with Darius Rucker of Hootie & the Blowfish!!!
Sara did a cover of his other song “I could not ask for more”, not this one.
Always loved this song! Keep them coming man! Could do "You'll Always Be My Baby" by Sara Evans? You will not regret it! Gotta warn you though, BYSE will make an appearance.
That 🎷 will get you🤰🏼. 😂
Edwin is fantastic. He does a cover of a Dire Straits song called Romeo and Juliet…my favorite love song of all time
Most ppl have heard most of his songs at least once before. He had major air play on all of his hits.
This song was originally in A Cinder ell Story, when Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray dance together at their masquerade dance.
A song you might like is Baptized by Daughtry. Great commentary, love this song!
This is my shit too!! *grabs 🎤*
Falling In Reverse new Song
Falling In Reverse - I'm not a vampire (revamped)
Song and Video is a masterpiece
Edwin McCain is the lead guitarist from Hootie & the blowfish
My daughter had this done at her wedding not a dry eye
The girl with curls is legitimately on3 of the most beautiful women ever

You should really react to his song. "Solitude". Its a true story that put him on the map that's unbelievably as shocking as it is awesome!
Knew that sax was gonna get him at the end.
Check out Jeff Healy angel eyes..older similar type song. If you like the sax check out candy dulfer lily was here
“I Remember” by Griffin House (veteran reacts)
React to his song also, "I could not ask for more" a hella good song too.

i would love to see you react to jim croce time in a bottle and Kristen Aldersons one life to live
Who thinks automatically of A cinderella story with Hilary Duff hahah ?
Suggestion Chris Bandi "Would Have Loved Her" or "Man Enough Now"
look into shinedown
Completely OT but could you react to the worlds worst bull riding wrecks?
Fun Fact: This song was written in a bar listening to a drunk dude trying to pick up a chick :P
React to Billy Yates - Flowers
How about Gavin DeGraw - I Don't Want To Be...or More Than Anyone 🙂
If you don't know this song from the season 1 finale of Dawson's Creek, are you even a 90s kid??
Cinderella
If you want to score with the Mrs this is the tool
