As someone who was there live in the arena, this match was truly something else!! The sheer intensity during the match and the insane pop after Omega kicked out at 1 will be something I don’t think I will experience again. That match was pro wrestling at its finest.
Me too: I've only ever been to two live pro-wrestling events (Dynamite debut in Canada back in October 2022 and Forbidden Door 2023), but this bout will be cemented in my mind for the rest of my life because of how absolutely near-perfect it was as a pro-wrestling match. It's simply unforgettable.
Man, to have experienced this match in person. I am truly envious of you sir. I can only imagine the energy in that building as the match kept getting crazier and crazier. Keep that memory with you forever!
For me, Forbiden door made me remember why AEW made me fell in love with wrestling again. Everything about this show was history in the making. Sting and Jericho in the same ring, the two generations match between Tanahashi and MJF, Jack Perry turning heel, the Ospreay vs Omega, Danielson recovering the final countdown… I can’t thank WWE enough for getting me into wrestling. But AEW is, at the time, the only company that makes me feel like I’m watching history in the making. That I’m watching a company building his own legacy and adding something to pro wrestling’s legacy instead of one that’s living of it’s past.
The wrestling world at large needs to absolutely appreciate Kenny Omega while he’s here and continuing to give us 5 star matches minimum and at best historical matches. He will be SORELY missed when he retires. That being said Will Ospreay’s star is ascending as a result of this amazing program and the sensational matches he and Omega have had together. Make no mistake. He goes back to New Japan from this latest match 2 or 3 times the star he was coming in. He was sensational.
Props to Will for using the Sharpshooter and Crippled Cross-face in order to annoy the Canadian audience and going so far as calling out Bret a whiner and saying he just complains in order to get more heat amazing lol
My thing with the tiger driver is, these guys know what they are doing. The effect is having us talk about it. Kenny been in the game how long? He knows what he doing. Thanks for putting your body on the line for our entertainment fellas
We may have not seen Kota Ibushi at Forbidden Door 2023, but let's hope he joins later than ever. Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay put their body on the line and delivered another MOTY (Match of the Year) to speak about in the years to come.
I wanted to eliminate recency bias so I watched Omega-Ospreay 1... the second match is better by a fair margin> The emotion and crowd made the second match insane.
Forbidden Door was my first PPV in attendance. Absolutley loved it and was so happy to see Omega vs Ospreay Live. I will probably never witness another match like that again in person.
@FortunateKidd so if a big Japanese star moved to the US for let's say 5 years and assimilated well, would that consider the US as home field advantage for him over his birth country of Japan? No. No it wouldn't.
He actually kicked out of the "Golden Trigger" at one at revolution and only kicked out of the one winged angel at one here because he had just been hit with the kamigoye. The story of the Golden Lovers continues. This is all setting up Ibushi.
I was gonna say, that’s why Kenny kicked out at one Revolution. It was “how fucking dare you two little shits hit THAT move on ME!” kick out. Same with FB with Ibushi’s finisher.
With kindness, I wish to offer a correction. The move the Bucks hit Omega with wasn't the BTE trigger. It was the Golden Trigger, Omega and Ibushi's old move. That's why it tapped into Kenny's fighting spirit and he kicked out at one. It was the Bucks using the memory of Ibushi against him. Reminding him that Hangman was his rebound and not his true partner.
Honestly I want to thank WWE for getting me into wrestling and I'm sure there are a lot of people that feel the same, but AEW is just pure Wrestling. And this match was just two of the best wrestlers in the world today, doing what they do best.
I have a friend whose the biggest wwe fanboy and ngl i use to be too but anyway recently since Aew existed we always have arguments back and forth but as hard as it was for him he did say that Ospreay Vs Omega is the match of the year.
This was the first ppv I've seen in a movie theater and it made for an awesome viewing experience. That said, Forbidden Door is easily becoming a must attend event. The prospect of seeing matchups we otherwise wouldn't normally see is one thing, but the top matches have had some of the best action and storytelling all year. I definitely plan on saving to see FD at some point
I almost didn't go to Collision and Forbidden Door, but I picked up some cheap tickets on Friday night. I'm not a big fan of either Omega or Osprey, I've only seen the couple Osprey matches he's had in AEW, but the match combined with the whole arena being on the edge of their seat for the whole match was special. The place exploded when Kenny got his foot on the rope. THE best match I've seen live, and one of the damnedest matches I've ever seen.
Loved Forbidden Door brilliant show from top to bottom, great crowd. Omega vs Ospreay ruled. Danielson vs Okada had to do impossible going after this match and still delivered I was happy after this show ended what a night 😎
For me, the best match I've ever seen. I discovered Will Ospreay because of AEW, a year ago. He has become my favourite wrestler of all time. I simply love all about him. Even his theme song is outstanding. Long life, Will❤
The Danielson okada match har been very under applicable. Everyone had such high expectations and in my opinion it lives up to the expectations. But I think some ppl just because the omega ospreay match was better that means the Danielson okada match underdeliverd. In my opinion they are 7* ospreay omega 5.25* okada-danielson
1. Shawn Michaels was the GOAT imo UNTIL I found out about Kenny Omega. Now I have a new GOAT in The Cleaner. 2. AEW is a love letter to wrestling fans, and I wouldn't be watching wrestling again without it
cant wait for the third now we need the third as a uk guy osprey is someone i love watching after see omega vs okada i thought this omega is something special. COME ON RUBBER MATCH CANT WAIT HOW DO THEY TOP THE FIRST TWO
Yet another amazing match between these two. I just hope this doesn't mean this doesn't mean that we're nearing Kenny's end in aew/njpw and that he's going to the Fed after his contract expires.
I love this channel for celebrating AEW or just wrestling in general. I am so tired of "smarks" being so much more concerned about botches and pointing out everything they consider to be flawed in AEW or WWE. As if they know wrestling psychology and booking better than people like Omega and the producers who have been in the business longer than some fans time on this planet 🙏
As if Okada vs Omega wasn't enough. We get two classics. Now a 3rd should happen at All In. I mean it's in Wembley for god's sake! Omega vs Ospreay 3 will happen and it will be as big of a banger as the last one.
A Wonderful video. But this Match at forbidden door was their 3rd not 2nd. They wrestled each other in PWG All Star Weekend back in 2016. Its part 4 that we’re are all looking forward to.
After what Don Callis did at Forbidden Door, AEW should hire a security job whose sole job it is to escort wrestlers out after they have been banned at ringside by the referee. After that it took away all the refs credibility in AEW.
Day in day out Kenny prove why he is the best in the world there is a small cult out there that hate him and want him and the elite to fail but he shut the up with his performance everytime he is in the ring
I'm not sure if I was dreaming the other day but I could've swore that a aew wrestler was wearing a tranquilo club t shirt honestly if I wasn't dreaming congratulations bro you have had aew back from day 1 nice to see one of them backing u if I was dreaming and thought that was real then I'd much rather go back to the dream world cause that place is clearly better
I understand that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to wrestling, but I was arguing with this guy earlier this week because he believed that Osprey was a one trick pony and wasn't a very good wrestler. I don't know how anyone could look at either of their matches and think they aren't incredible. I'm so curious as to what that guy thought good wrestling was.
People who think that are operating off the old image of Ospreay as a flippy guy, like when he and Ricochet had that one match that got memed a lot. Ospreay has improved his wrestling quite a bit and been more grounded since then, mostly to extend his career.
What a fantastic match it was. Those that still claims that Omega is just a spot monkey, probably have never actually seen his best matches and only parrot a bitter old man shouting at the clouds. The only complaint I have is that Don Callis returned to the ring after having been ejected prior and the referee did nothing about it. A minor stain however that does not take anything away from the action and story that those two elite athletes told in the ring.
The Omega / Ospreay match was great except for that Tiger Driver. Living through the era of Austin having his career shortened and Droz being paralyzed, I don't get much pleasure in seeing wrestlers purposefully doing moves that could permanently hurt, paralyze, or even them. That's not entertainment.
Only thing I feel that Forbidden Door 2023 did wrong is that Omega-Ospreay 2 was not last. It was the the best match on the show, much more than Okada-Danielson. Nothing against them, the Rainmaker and the American Dragon on paper does look like the best to put last as it's a long awaited dream match, and it's easily the 2nd best match of the card, but I still think Omega-Ospreay 2 had more emotion to it, more heart. This wasn't just a match for pride, it was worth so much more to the two of them.
This was great but I preferred the WK match. Callis being kicked out then coming back without the ref doing anything about badly hurt it in my view. Can’t ignore something that stupid.
The match was great except for the garbage screwdriver to the head spot. A flat out massive blemish for me, attached to what was an overall very badass match.
I have to disagree with you. This match completely fell apart when Don Callis just returned to ringside from being ejected and not only did everyone ignore that he was ejected in the first place he blantantly cheated and the ref did nothing about it.
I seriously do not like the Tiger Driver 91 spot as Kenny literally landed on his neck. Sure most likely to my eyes it looks devastating but it was actually safe, but I do not want Kenny to be out of action anymore. Again, I love the match, but as AEW is my first time watching Kenny Omega, I want more of him.
I loved this match, but I can't call it a masterpiece due to Don Callis coming back out and nothing happening. The fact this video never addressed that is telling IMO.
Everything EXCEPT the finish. It was WAY too over done. The screwdriver, hidden blade, one winged angel, etc etc. Then all the kick outs. Too much. Ruined the ending.
Kenny is a master of storytelling!!! We will get Kota when we least expect it

This wasn't a wrestling match, it was two absolute sickos trying to kill each other for 40 minutes straight. And it was f***ing beautiful.
dis nigga really censored himself🤣
@@BG-xm5ex I censored myself because UA-cam is stupid and wouldn't let me post the comment otherwise.
if you're really trying to kill someone you wouldn't take 40 mins. it was a good pro wrestling match tho
That match at Forbidden Door this past Sunday was not a match.
That was a 40-minute WAR!

Match of the decade for now.
Will Ospreay's record at Forbidden Door is 2 : 0.
Come to think of it.
We NEED Omega vs Ospreay 3 to be the main or co-main even at Wembley!!!
A long long livestream and a new video too, tranquilo is really squzzing the time, appreciate you man

3:17 notably a KOMIGOYE into the One Winged Angel. Not sure how Kevin Kelly didn’t call that on commentary
Felt the same bro. Wonder why they didn't say anything about it on commentary.
Kenny had home field advantage in Japan and Canada. At All In Ospreay will have the advantage
Home field advantage is where that person is from. Kenny is not from Japan
@@Existomalus Kenny lived in Japan for YEARS! Learned the language and assimilated into the culture. It’s his second home.

6 stars is not enough for this match it was pure art
2 forbidden doors and both times, best matches have belonged to Will Ospreay. Kenny Omega just stamped it further why he's one of the best
