Could you please discuss volume 2 and listing out the capabilities children acquired before moving onto volume 2? Thank you. Your vedio helped me understand about how melodic and rhythmic patterns are formed based on the speech and word sounds.
The volumes aren't necessarily written in a linear fashion like a textbook. You pick and choose what works for your teaching situation and apply it to the students you teach. Rarely do you play any arrangements exactly as they are written in the volumes. Once students understand the rhythms and concepts you want them to know from Volume I, they can move on to modal music. There is much more that can be discussed on this topic, but this is really where Orff levels training is required to fully understand how the volumes are utilized.

Thank you! This i s exactly what I needed. I work at a music focused summer camp and Ordf is mentioned but not explained. And, we are skipping over all the accessibility of having a speech or movement or singing focus for the newer campers. That focus will help make it a win win for me as a teacher and the students as well. Do you have a recommendation for any online schoolwork training resources?
Hello! All Orff certification courses are in person, however, there are sometimes Orff workshops that are held virtually. You can look at the AOSA website to see if there are any links that may be helpful. Best of luck to you! Jen
Discovering Orff or Exploring Orff are good options. Elementaria also discusses Orff Schulwerk, but it's not the easiest read. You best way to learn it is to attend Orff workshops in your area and most importantly, attend the level trainings. Best of luck!
This was easy to understand, thanks for putting this together!
You're very welcome!
This was wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much. I’m glad it was helpful!
Wow! Fantastic Job!!! Loved this so much!

Also, what books would you recommend to learn this method?
