Nice composition and use of the pyramid. I absolutely love my pyramid. I’m having a harder time with the lxr. It always seems that sweet spots are hard to dial in.
Nice Jam ! I’m curious on the midi settings of the lxr and squarp Pyramid? I tried to sequence both notes and CC on the octatrack but I didn’t manage to find how to do so… Are your CC mappings on a global channel on the lxr or per channel? Which Firmware do you use? Thanks by advance! I also love to use the lxr as a melodic synth.
Thanks! Good question and I didn't explain this thoroughly enough in the video, for I too realized that the LXR atm can not receive MIDI CC per channel, but only on the Global Channel. But there's still a way to send MIDI CC to voices on different channels: one has to make an additional "MIDI CC Track" in the Pyramid, which sends MIDI CC in the LXR Global Channel. LXR's MIDI CC mapping is PER VOICE, so you can send MIDI CC in the Global Channel and still control voices that are on individual channels. It's a bit crazy, if you ask me, but this to my knowledge is the only way to make it work.
Cool how you used definition files on the Squarp. I had it for years and only recently started creating them. Do you ever import .mid files? There are a bunch of classical ones for free like Bach.
Hi thanks, yeah, the def files are a powerful tool to make your instruments do all kinds of stuff they normally wouldn't. Pyramid is really close to modular synthesis stuff logicalwise, and I like it a lot :) I once tried some classical .mid files and made some ambient that way, but oftentimes I'm just afk, so never meddled those deeper than that.
@@TommiJVienoAfter using Squarp Pyramid for six years I've forced myself to figure out how to do things that I've never tried, so I started with definition files and importing .MID files. I've still yet to try MUTE Probability. Maybe that's next.

Great idea, nice jam!
Nice to hear, thanks!
