I've only been to Trivandrum twice. The last time I was there the monsoon broke. I was eating on a roof-top restaurant and I could see lightning coming in. So I walked down and took shelter under the awning of a cigarette/chai stall and the monsoon broke. Everyone was rushing for cover. I saw a guy galloping past on an elephant. You will only ever see things like that in India. So I had a cigarette and a chai, and waited for it to stop. India is a magical country.
