It’s still not the best but we do have Lyft, however like everything it will cost a lot and there will still be some wait time. As for North St. it’s been a mess since they put the bike lanes in at the expense of half the traffic lane. I almost never see people use them, except illegally when driving in them, and I don’t think it was implemented very well. As someone without a car, and admittedly can’t ride a bike, I would have rather they put more into extending the bus services instead.
I tried to get an uber from the train station once, there were none. Then a few drug addicts showed up to offer us a ride for cash while claiming to be uber drivers in person.
Pittsfield feels like it's been in a perpetual recession for the last 25 years. Looks like it too in places. I wouldn't hold my breath for that steakhouse if I were you.
@@LivingInTheBerkshiresMA I'll be shocked if it's still open a year from now. Pittsfield residents aren't known for being flushed with disposable spending cash. If that were true the Berkshire Mall might still be open.
@@LivingInTheBerkshiresMA I’ve been to two of those places. They’re ok. But not what I’d call “good.” And I’m not saying a place needs Michelin stars galore for a good food scene. I’m talking about the lack of diversity in quality food which comes with such a “white” place where everyone is Irish or Italian. I couldn’t live in such a “meat and potato” place like that. Background: I’m from LA and live in Orange County. My wife is from Pittsfield.

What happened to Friends?? Is entrepreneurial Beth Pearson still on the loose?
You’re missing the biggest con. Lack of food.
Not sure I agree! Proprietors, Mazzeos, District, Koto... We are missing a quality steak house though.

@@wmst5065 so funny you say that! Rare 297 Steakhouse just opened in the hotel on North. I’m hearing good things about it.
