Hi, the project is nice. But there are two major errors that could cause a fire.
1) Firstly, the cells are not protected from overdischarge. Overdischarging the cells below 2.8v can cause a fire and damage the batteries.
You can rectify this by using a 3S BMS board.
2) The cells from the old laptop battery have high internal resistances since they are old. You can use new batteries ordered from Bangood.in

Also, the batteries can explode or catch fire due to over charging from the adaptor. One cell can cross 4.2v and thus catch fire. The BMS board can be used for overcharge and overdischarge protection.
