You are a VERY young man. Why Beatles? You weren't born. Unbelievable respect. Please always remember lp's were recorded at EMI, Abbey Rd. in England. ANYTHING Capitol puts out is off of surface tapes. No masters ever came to America. The Capitol crap is remastered, re-mixed CRAP. We recorded in England. We never made Beatles '65. We recorded Bestles For Sale. Pre butcher cover. We couldn't do shit about it, cause we were under contract, BRIAN!!! CAPITOL IS SURFACE TAPES. YOU WANNA SPEND YOUR MONEY, GO RIGHT AHEAD. SURFACE TAPES
@@user-mi1oh1bf2o I watched the yellow submarine movie a ton when I was younger, and one day I wondered what else they had in their catalog. And from there I wanted to hear their songs on vinyl. About 12 years later I'm here 😅
@samoset4_beatlesvinyl644 yellow submarine was visually ahead of its time. In the town where I was born/No one cared/No one cared. Home demo-january 1966. I will hopefully get a legal mailing address. Do you collect, interested in the pre-mtv videos? A good 1: Ritchie plays air drums, George plays left handed, mcmac smiles only and Winston dances around doing his Minister of Silly Walks. EMI didn't see the humour. Who cares about Capitol. Another time We all demolished the set. Then those backward guitar parts and Winston rambling backwards. Oh, my my. Party on Garth.
Nice you have a 2nd state Butcher. I was lucky and found my first one in a garage sale in 1982 for less than $10 and kept it until last year. I've owned 1 first state mono, and 2 2nd state stereos, and only 1 3rd state. I never wanted to peel my stereos, but did think about it. Have fun collecting.
Why would you do thus? The butcher cover is not a rarity. A pressing of Capital's fi 5:52 xing of Dr. Robert and I'm Only Sleeping is a find; a rarity. Capital thought, believed all the backwards stuff and mixed speed were mistakes. So, they fixed them for us-for FREE. How thoughtful. That's why you have the "butcher cover". Weren't around in '65 and '66. We had four tracks. It was a big party, shin dig when Abbey Road upgraded to, drum roll Ritchie, 8 tracks. Please Please Me.
Wow! Sounds like some good finds! I would like to get first state, second state, third state framed up on the wall. That's the next goal...but it might take a while!
Congrats! Over time I have acquired 4 of them....and I have sold two of those. I had my first mono one peeled back in the 70's by a good friend and collector and he did a great job on it. I debated whether or not to but I didn't want to spend the rest of my days explaining to people about it...I also acquired a not so nice peeled stereo one. Stereo ones are tougher so I couldn't pass it up for as cheap as I got it. They are still the height of the tour of my "museum". It seems that there are more of them out then originally thought. Bruce Spizer calls it the most common rare record. My best friend who is also a dealer keeps finding them in various configurations. I want first state ones just like everyone else...:)
Love you to death. We once were. Shea Stadium still stands. Made videos pre-mtv. Paperback Writer, Rain. We put you into ground with Strawberry Fields. We once were.
I think the same thing the 2nd states will become rarer than 3rds thus more valuable! I think any real vintage Beatles memorabilia will be worth quite a bit more in the next 10 years
Happy Birthday! Nice present. Agree, don’t peel the second state covers. Getting harder to find. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I think my next realistic copy would to find a stereo copy. And yes I have heard that saying "most common rare record". Funny but true!
@@samoset4_beatlesvinyl644 I was out to eat with my dealer friend the other day and I told him to find me a first state mono and stereo
Happy birthday to you
Thank you!

We shall wait and see. I'm curious how records will hold value over the next 5 or 10 years
