I love how Andy plays a small snippet of the clean tone before kicking on the pedal, it's not a big thing but it really does help you decide whether or not to buy it and what exactly it's doing to your tone. Impeccable demos
he lacks pop he has dull sound because he doesn't use picks he uses his index finger almost as a pick and sometimes he uses his thumb. due to this he has trash accuracy but sure he sounds really good.
@@JustPlaneStupid69 HELL YEAH HE IS I MISS PGS so much. Reverbs channel with our boy Andy just isnt the same. Plus I loved PGS, I supported them all the time. When i was 17,18ish(26 now) I order so many things through them. My pog 2, Rock box boiling point(hand painted first run), 3 diff love pedal OD pedals. MJM london fuzz. Empress delay, which I sold for my timefactor. And quite a few others I cannot remember. I hate reverb, of course buying used. Too many scammers, and just scummy sellers in general. And Reverb has nothing in place to really protect the buyer. Or the seller. A refund could take a year if they seller is being an asshole. Ebay with paypal is just the way to go for used. I always buy locally if I can find it on the market. Otherwise I usually order from the small builder themselves. I hate reverb. And for some stuff that isnt made or barely in stock(high demand) I go ebay as last resort.
I knew when Robert Keeley announced who he was sending out Monterey pedals to for demoing, that Andy was the one I most wanted to hear. I had a feeling Andy would nail the vibe of this awesome pedal and I'm thoroughly impressed! Thanks for a truly inspiring demo Andy!
I think this is keeleys best pedal. The idea of having a fuzz with modulation in one box is brilliant, but the fact that the fuzz is so well voiced and well rounded, and the 3 modulation types, all sounding very true to what we love is really awsome, then you get this really cool, retro looking finish and you are in business and ready to gig!!
I think Keeley is trying to become the Microsoft of the boutique stompbox world, but he is offering what nobody else is and it works VERY well. I love you man.
+Robert Keeley You are very welcome, and thank you for all the great boxes. I will be ordering one of these beauties this week through Sweetwater. BTW I am loving my Paisley Oxblood OD.
BEST FUZZ/VIBE AND MORE PEDAL....I LOVE IT BC IT JUST ADDS TO THE GUITAR TONE IT DOESNT SMOTHER IT, THEN ADDING A LITTLE LESLIE/ISH VIBE UNDERNEATH, NASTYYYYYYYYYYYY PEDAL!
After all the pedals Andy has reviewed I would love to see what he has on his personal board. I'm sure it's as unique as his playing. Another great pedal review ProGuitarShop!
+Joe N If his pedal collection is anything like his guitar collection, it is nothing but a gigantic envy bomb. Andy's guitars are just cooler versions of the guitars I wish I had.
to my ears it is a tribute/amalgam of all the great tones at Monterey Pop - from the great vibrato fuzz of Cippolina, Elmore, Kaukonnen, Kantner, dudes from the Moby Grape, Especially Vestine less Wilson, you know "the sound". Keeley rocks. now no need for Dunlop nor Mayer, great demo i am treating myself...
Dammit Keeley - you won't be happy until you get my entire 401k will ya Bra? Another monster of tone machine from the House of Blue Lights! Best go get on the wait list now. Great playing as always Andy!
+lastdaysguitar Most certainly! All my Hendrix and Trower needs all in one box! I could almost take this one pedal, plug it into a pre-amp and straight into the house system at a gig and that's it. Amazing...
Dude, that first solo sounded *very* Jimi like. I like these demos because I know Andy is always going to sound great, and I enjoy the song selections.
I could see all sorts of these multi fx pedals coming now. An EVH with a 'brown' overdrive, a phaser and flanger, etc. one box with 2-4 effects that represent a legendary player's main sounds. That sort of thing.
+Robert Keeley I'm on to you keeley! Looking forward to what/who comes next, and I expect you'll take over even more of my board, ha. Question: what sort of legal issues do you have with guys who are still alive? I imagine you couldn't do evh and use any sort of striped graphic or do more than hint at his name considering his pedal company efforts. Similar thoughts pop up concerning all sorts of other guys' signature tones might be able to get by combining a few fx in one box. In this case it's obvious to Hendrix fans what is going on with the name and graphics, but you don't use the name anywhere, so his estate must not have any complaint. Curious, thanks.
+hankgalt some themes are so iconic that it is easy to manipulate them and still have the essence come through. It's a mater of finding a variation of the theme that is itself complete. For example Jimi never wrote the word Monterey that we could find, but he did write 'mountain' and 'every' and we made it look like he wrote Monterey. The same can be done with EVH stripes. Or the DSOTM. We will just keep painting until we find the right combination. I don't want to rip them off, just capture the spirit. More importantly, give people a modern interpretation of those sounds.
+Robert Keeley yeah, it's a fine line. You aren't ripping anyone off if you're the first to put a certain combination in one box. But yeah, using the name or a likeness or a graphic (the stripes or triangle in the mentioned examples) can make it seem that way. EVH is my childhood idol and the release on I first played guitar. I've crafted 'my' EVH tone around a few pedals and amp settings I have to kick on anytime I want that tone. If you could get those pedals in one box, it would be a new idea for sure and serve a need many of us have, but I could see how others or even EVH himself could take exception and say, hey, seriously? But really, there's no reason he and mxr couldn't have come up with the same concept. Anyway, thanks for answering, looking forward to the pedals to come! Cheers
+Robert Keeley speak of the devil, just checked tracking and my new Monterey gets here today! Gonna be a long night, 8mo pregnant wife might get pissed at me, haha
+Robert Keeley you're pretty BAUCE as well!! TY so much for these fine musical tools n tones. My phat modded BD-2 makes my tone stand front n center every night. This Monterey and your Amp Limiter compressor are next on my board!!
Thats some boast electriclarryland .. why not put your money where your mouth is a post some awesome Hendrixian jams there fucko? Ive seen a lot of guys claim to have Hendrix playing and tone down… but Ive seen precisely one who has it down… and he was as humble as can be.
Well said, Charlie. And holy hell, who the fuck is the guy playing the demo material for all these fantastic Keeley pedals. The pedals are obviously top notch and if I was rich I'd own all of them. But it's almost not fair having this guy demo them. He could play a rusty tea kettle through a used roll of toilet paper and it'd come out sounding like the best shit you ever heard. Damn...
Dammit Andy. This is your best! You kill it here. This is my most favorite home videos...err the Monterey show. I've never had a chance to try and cop that spot. I'm gonna skip it. I will just settle watching you replicate it flawlessly. No need to play with your teeth either man.
I love how Andy plays a small snippet of the clean tone before kicking on the pedal, it's not a big thing but it really does help you decide whether or not to buy it and what exactly it's doing to your tone. Impeccable demos
He is the one great guitar player. Damn, every time he plays the right tunes to express the specs of the particular pedal to its best!
he is awesome
he lacks pop he has dull sound because he doesn't use picks he uses his index finger almost as a pick and sometimes he uses his thumb. due to this he has trash accuracy but sure he sounds really good.
Dr. King Schultz where can we find YOUR videos?
IM Groot I said he sounds really good i was just pointing out his technique which gives him a signature sound. Also btw ure not groot im sure.
Dr. King Schultz haha. True true. I am not. No problem. I just like watching guitar videos and thought maybe you had some.
Andy is a f―g monster guitarist.... plain and simple.
Logos I fucking need him to record original music so I only ever have to listen to one band ever again

I have never watched one of Andy's demo's and come away thinking anything other than 'I need to buy that!' He is the sh*t!
This sounds more Jimi than a fuzz face/wah/univibe. Super sexy Strat sound.
Andys picking/strumming hand is RIDICULOUS! (Side note - this pedal is fantastic - what a GREAT DESIGN! Props to Keeley!!)
Best pedal test ever. Play and sounds amazing, really Hendrixian.
"Hendrixian" love that
I have never, never seen anyone cover Jimi like this man did here.
Keeley has done it... Finally, a worthy Jimi-in-a-box to run into a Marshall SLP or Super Bass. Simply glorious.
We have truly arrived in the age of the boutique multi-fx pedal.
+ValveSpecial I'll take that! Thanks man!
That has got to be one of my fave covers you've ever done! Just freakin' awesome Jimi'ness!
stone free! Andy, that was some beauty bro! best player around today by a country mile
I would have thought that was actually Hendrix playing the demo, sounds fantastic!
Good lord!!! So many useful sounds in this pedal! Awesome demo as always, Andy.
I purchased one a few months ago. This pedal is as good as its described.
OMFG Andy! Stone Free as great as any version! I guess now I'll listen again and pay attention to the pedal.
this is one of those pedals I do not "need" but I cannot resist . great demo and great playing
I would watch every week just to watch Andy shred. Pure talent
Oh that strat sounds soooo sweet. Chills.
6:31 blew my mind...crazy tones
Quite impressive.
Then again, it is a Keeley...
Andy could make any pedal sound great, but after trying this myself, it's another superb Keeley 10/10
I think Keeley is trying to become the Microsoft of the boutique stompbox world, but he is offering what nobody else is and it works VERY well. I love you man.
+SaintFredrocks Many Thanks St. Fred Rocks!
+Robert Keeley You are very welcome, and thank you for all the great boxes. I will be ordering one of these beauties this week through Sweetwater. BTW I am loving my Paisley Oxblood OD.
+SaintFredrocks isn't that a wampler? The paisley I mean?
+hankgalt Wampler makes a Paisley OD for Brad Paisley, great pedal too, but there was also a limited edition Oxblood OD with a paisley motif on it.
+SaintFredrocks ah, thus my confusion, haha. You have a pic? Sounds cool, I have the regular oxblood
"Sick" can't even begin to describe this example of Andy's brilliance. Chronic genius, terminally excellent.
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS PEDAL FOR SO FUCKING LONG
Jimi is grinnin big !!!
Andy sure knows his stuff, longtime fan of his demos... and a very cool pedal here too! I think you've just made a sale.
As I have already said before, Andy should be out saving rock & roll...
Jesus christ, Keeley. Leave some awesome for the rest of us.
I agree- son of a bitch Keeley
Don't take the lords name in vain!

BEST FUZZ/VIBE AND MORE PEDAL....I LOVE IT BC IT JUST ADDS TO THE GUITAR TONE IT DOESNT SMOTHER IT, THEN ADDING A LITTLE LESLIE/ISH VIBE UNDERNEATH, NASTYYYYYYYYYYYY PEDAL!
10 thumbs up just for the intro...the review was just icing on an already delicious cake.

AWESOME LIKE ALWAYS, and that hendrix influence omg...
to my ears it is a tribute/amalgam of all the great tones at Monterey Pop - from the great vibrato fuzz of Cippolina, Elmore, Kaukonnen, Kantner, dudes from the Moby Grape, Especially Vestine less Wilson, you know "the sound". That intro was heroic.

That intro!!!
Love that Stone Free!!!
Finally, all the haters give Andy some Love!
Damn! I think the Monterey just made the top of my wish list. I didn't really "need" that Mobius anyway. I really NEED this magic box of GAS goodness.
+Stratomacaster This is a great pedal, but Mobius is too.
+lastdaysguitar Most certainly! All my Hendrix and Trower needs all in one box! I could almost take this one pedal, plug it into a pre-amp and straight into the house system at a gig and that's it. Amazing...
Buy both when ya can I did. The Mobius is Off the Charts crazy good n the Monterey well......Amazing!!!
Dude, that first solo sounded *very* Jimi like. I like these demos because I know Andy is always going to sound great, and I enjoy the song selections.
I gotta say man, I've seen a few of yours and - you certainly know how to do a great review. Thanks and thanks again.
