Hey. Found your video today (Happy New Year.) I find behind the scenes of movies fascinating. I've written a couple scripts, but have never had the equipment (Or actors, tbh) to actually shoot anything. Well, now it's my new years resolution!

Great take on the day in our life! Transportation is key to production... we drive safe and on schedule. Every job is important in tv and movies. Craft helps start the day!

Im going to a Film School soon in Los Angeles for Film Production and honestly I couldn't be more excited!! I'll be going for my Bachelor's in Film Production and making movies is my life's purpose. I've heard you don't really HAVE TO go into Film School to have a career in the industry, however it does offer some amazing connections and open more doors so if anyone out there is hoping to get into the industry I'd definitely recommend it... If you could afford it of course. Or take Film courses at a traditional college/University. 😁

Thats so cool! what kind of movies would you make? I want to go to LA film school too and I can’t wait to be there!

@@brookiessio I have yet to figure that out however I would love to make movies about all of my favorite things. You can definitely get there if you work hard! Honestly all I want to do is make movies, I believe it's what my life is intended for however it won't always be fun and it's good to prepare for the not so fun times as well. That's what I'm trying to do.

@@shyryTsr2k Definitely, it will be one of the hardest things people can do. After all it is entertainment. I wish you the best of luck and you will do so great! I hope I watch one of your movies one day! :)

I'm happy for you . I have absolutely zero experience and nowhere near any schooling of any kind. But I love movies with a passion , always have. and I'm thinking of doing something foolish and leaving my home state , jumping on a bus and heading to Hollywood in hopes I can begin working on a set of some kind just to get any experience under my belt. After watching interviews of those in the Industry it seems as if that's the idea ... Lol literally living on hopes and dreams . Exposing oneself to that area/environment is beneficial in a variety of ways but the thought of even getting onto a set seems a challenge . No way of ever knowing until you put yourself out there . Anything worth while in life takes risk of some degree and the fear associated with that risk can either consume you or motivate you . One will keep you stalled and hinder the other will motivate you to some degree and set you on an adventure. Hope the best for you 😉

honestly that sounds foolish, but please keep me updated if you go through with your plan :)
I can only recommend going on smaller sets in your area first. If you see a production happening offer your help for free and advance from there

Well to be honest this doesn't really explain the scale of anything nor gives a really good overview... grips dont just look after camera on a big productions. They even have thier own rigging department for stages, as well as construct blue screens, they then have crane grips and dolly grips who actually help operate the cameras movements. In general I think this video failed to address the shire size of these departments and how much hierarchy is involved within each one.

Thanks for watching. There are several stock video sites online. Some are less expensive than others. Do a search for "stock video." Another option, if you have a camera or smartphone, shoot some of your own footage and get creative! You can tell a story right in your own neighborhood.
