He may not have saved the show in the sense of having it get more seasons, but he was a great addition to the show. I enjoyed General Hunt Stockwell. You have to take what George Peppard said to Robert Vaughn about Mr. T with a grain of salt. As I understand it, Peppard was difficult to get along with, and the other cast members preferred not to talk to him.
Robert Vaughn also worked with producer the late Stepen J. Cannell as a Special Guest Star in the Hit 80's Cop Series HUNTER entitled "City Under Siege"
His character was well played, it gave something extra , but I feel they broke up too early. They could have made a nice story out of it in a new season. Sadly it never happened.

Hated his character but the actor himself was just great!
The A-Team was somewhat of a step backwards for Robert Vaughn,but he did make his Hunt Stockwell character work for the short time he was there.
