My favorite player of all time : Petra Kvitova ! So exciting to watch ! Such an amazing shot maker ! And 100% Classy !
I think Istanbul is still the best location for the WTA finals....
agree. Singapore and Shenzhen they are horrible. Terribly slow court and not much fans
No Shenzhen is terrible indeed but Singapore was amazing. The fans there were amazing and there was always a lot of spectators
TRUE
Only if the colors are reversed. A dummy chose this colour for a tennis court.
Petra's breakthrough year that was
Wish she becomes world no 1 one day
She has never been?!? I thought she has’d been at least one week. So yes, I agree, hoping she can become world number 1 because she deserves it.
@@alexfrosa2163 i completely agree with you... She is deserving player to be at the top of the rankings
She won 2 GS she has the game to be # 1.>>>>
If she would have won them in these years: 2017, 2018, 2019... she would have certainly have been. The problem is that when she won them, (2011 and 2014) Serena was dominating the rankings, and even if Petra won a GS, Serena had wayyyyy too many points and nobody could take her spot because in almost all the other importants tournaments, she did great almost everywhere. Now that Serena doesn’t have the amount of points sh once had, Petra would have the chance of being number because nobody has a huge amount of points. Barry only has something like 8000. By the time Serena was number 1, she had like 12 000 or 13 000.
@AM Wiseniyoki? Whhaat?
Two of the best players of their generation!
TO WTA: Thanks again for posting all those full matches of the highest quality. They are far more instructive and nourishing to the observer than any highlights from which disappear all the psychological nuances of point and game management, as well as the underlying tension and suspense of competition that after all create and sustain the excitement of tennis.
Kvitova, Azarenka, Wozniacki, Radwanska, Sharapova, Ivanovic, Jankovič, Clijsters, Venus W., Li Na.... oh my good, so great tennis generation. Amazing and nice tennis players. I miss these years (2008-2015)
Out of all the names you missed Serena. LOL.>>>>>>
@@rbfortheloveoftennisandlif144 Serena is incredibly unsympathetic and she does terrible scenes. Her sister Venus is very cool, but Serena is terrible and an unfair sportswoman
If you feel that way., that's cool. Everyone has their own opinion.
What I see on the court and off the court from Serena is greatness.
I have seen her kindness and passion for others. I could say A LOT more, but this is what I know and my opinion about Serena.>>>
She should’ve been number 1 in 2011... she reached no2 a bunch since then but never been no1, hopefully she gets there one day
O
P.K.. Talk about bursting on the Scene,..
First tennis player to win A Slam born in the 90's..
Just 2 think in the Men's Dominic Thiem the ( First ) @ US Open 2020..
Bravo Upload..
Azarenka and Kvitova so on parin career stats, already legends! 2 of the most IMPORTANT female tennis players EVER , been watching Azarenka a lot longer than Kvitova and vika has way better mental strength for consistency
I wish the WTA Finals had stayed in Istanbul longer. The crowd was great and the court was fast like an indoor harcourt should be.
When Serena went out to have her baby, I just knew Petra was going to take over. She has the game to be #1. This match was on her racket from the started.I don't see her game to be rank #12 now. Just like Keys they both have the game to be 1 and 2 when Serena was out but not consistency.>>>>>
Kvitova is a gifted athlete .. to be able to handle the Court with super stars like Sharapova And Serena Williams and clijsters and Coco Vanderweghe is incredible!!
I agree petra is gifted though I like both of them.
Love KVITOVA!😍❤️
She's definitely Awesome
I have to say, even if I am a fan of Petra, Vika is a respectable tennis player and she had "a bigger heart" than Petra did when they were in trouble.
First time Ive ever watched a WTA finals final was this match LOL. Great match it was.
Petra Kvitova é fera, sou fâ numero 1
Wow it’s been a long time
Azarenka won Brisbane the Miami at 19 years old against Bartoli and Serena! Like Via has been a star way longer than Petra!
Petra = #Queen
Venus vs Zvonareva 2008 WTA Finals
Petra my love ❤
It's so weird that she never was world n. 1. You have a players that don't have grand slam and were n. 1 (Plíšková), and for someone who is that good to not be n. 1? Sooooo unlucky 😔
It has nothing to do with luck, rank is based on points. whoever has the most points earned them
@@deusexmachina9776 yeah you know in 2011 she won Madrid,Winbledob and Wta Finals, what Wozniacki won?I remember just Australian open semi-final,so yeah was unluck and also in Australian Open imagine that she converted on of the break points in first and third set,Osaka was great, but c'mon to have luck is not the best think. And Pliskova was number one in 2017 just because Halep was too mentalk weak to beat Ostapenko and Konta c'mon i like Ostapenko game, but she really have a luck to face Halep in that final, imagine if was Kenin fir example,so yeah Petra was unlucky because when she was a cinsistent player and at her peak in 2011 she didn't became world number one,she is the best player ever who didn't became number one,she deserve more tha Muguruza, even she won 2 Grand Slam she disappeard after that, this is not a mental for a world number one,she appeard just once in a year.
@@deusexmachina9776 yeah I know how it works but I was just surprised beacause she's not one of the players that get grand slam and dissapear. She is consistenly good player that makes it really far in almost every tournament she plays 😊 That's why I wrote it
@@deusexmachina9776 She was unlucky in that she got attacked with a knife at the peak of her career and was out for a long time; she has done amazingly well to come back and be playing so well since she has permanent nerve damage in her racket hand and still has no felling in several of her fingers as she holds the racket; if she had had the opportunity to build on her results without the time out I am sure she would have been able to get there, she still might but there are a lot of younger talented players such as Osaka now!
@@cosminapisoi you basically stated Kvitova didn't have enough points to be number one, Wozniacki and Pliskova did. So I don't know what you're arguing with me here so, last time j remember Woz was year end number one twice.... And people shit on Pliskova for not having a slam
