Glad I watched this again!!!! Love the inchies, love the cards!!! I may need to make the inches and the flowers!!! TFS. I did. God bless and stay safe.
I'm just watching your video on my tablet. I searched ebay for tyvek and you can get it in paper sheets. The description says it's waterproof and widely used in the craft industry for making beads because of how it shrinks and takes colour when heated. sounds fun. I've ordered a pack of 10 sheets. can also buy bigger packs and also a big roll of it. I love the card you are making.
Hi Dee, lovely inchies you made with the tyvek - they look so scrumptious! lol And the cards you made with them are so cute! You do come up with such fabulous ideas! Loved watching you do this - good tutorial! Tfs Big hugs, Ginny xo :o)
Hello Ginny, thank you ever so much for your lovely comment and kind words. Glad you like my Inchies & cards. I enjoyed making them :o) Tfw. Love & big hugs,Dee xxx
I was wondering if I should get an inka gold. I do have some wax based polishes so wondered if I really needed one. I had a look at some UA-cam videos and I saw a lady who also showed one off her pots with thick mould on the top. She contacted the company and they told her that's its harmless bacteria picked up from your fingers. Best way to get rid is to scrape off any mould then onto a cloth spray some antibacterial cleaner and wipe over the top of the wax a couple of times. They said the best way is to use a sponge or applicator to apply it with
I love the Inka Golds and I have now fingers crossed got rid of the mould. I did use antibacterial spray :o) It will probably come back though cos I know I won't be able to keep my fingers out! lol. Tfw. Hugs,Dee xox
Dee, I love your little cards and I also love Inka gold, I only have one pot of it but I will get more colors some day, I heard someone talking about the molding and they said it was from the oils on our fingers, to use an implement to get it out of the pot. Your inkies are cute! I have a piece of Tyvek I received in the mail and I've been saving it to do something with, this could be it! Thanks for sharing.
Hello Miss Lottie, thank you for your lovely comment and for the info on the Inka gold. Glad you like my Inchies. I'm going to have a go at beads next :o) I'd love to see what you do with yours! Tfw. Hugs,Dee xox
Very cute card. Love the inchies. With regards to the Inka gold, I don't stick my fingers in the pot, I use a knife to scoop out the product themn use my fingers
My inka gold started to go mouldy a few days after i opened it, it seems to be a common complaint, I was told to just wipe it off.And continue to used it. I think there must be an ingredient in there thats prone to mould once in contact with fresh air, I only ever bought 3 colours because of the mould, You'd think they would improve it. Still I like it lol. Love your projects Rosemary x :-)
Hello Rosemary, the Inka gold thingy is weird isn't it? The mouldy one was the first one I bought,,,well over a year ago but it's only recently decided to take the mouldy life! lol The others are all ok apart from some smell a bit fusty. The perils of us crafters! Hahaha. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hugs,Dee xx
Have you ever started with a little bit of a petal shape or a circle to start? Can you get a brad through it to attach as an embellishment? Just wondering if I should put the brad in before I heat it up. If you haven't tried already I will play with it myself. By the way, the black and gold ribbon is beautiful. Any chance you know where you got it. I have never seen anything like it before...maybe a fabric store? Bye Dee, sorry I missed this when you posted it.
Hello Monica, no I've not tried any shapes other thank squares yet.I'm sure I will be experimenting. The black & gold yarn I picked up at a car boot sale. Tfw. Hugs,Dee xox

Lynda Pearce i have to chuckle a bit..most new built homes are wrapped in tyvek as a insulator moisture barrier...so it being flammable makes me wonder about house fires... i was wondering if you put several inchies in a craft oven would that work? ermmm.without catching fire? lol. tfs love the out come
