Ah didn't realize they had issues with manufacturing. I got mine back in December. I really like my S30 but I understand why you had to switch to the dwarf. The S30's production is also backordered quite a bit.
@@Naztronomy Yes, I have seen an interview with DwarfLab CEO during CES on AstroNerd channel. There were quality issues with manufacturing, that delayed "mass production" of the Dwarf3. They seem to have fixed the issues by now and full production capacity will resume in February. But as I understand, they have so many orders in the backlog that it will still take some time to fulfill them. When I placed my order in Jan 3rd the page mentioned lead time of about 12 weeks, now they tell about 18 weeks. Yes - this requires patience - but astrophotography in general has a high demand on patience. For me it doesn't hurt that much, as we barely have clear skies right now. So it would be nice (and I hardly can't wait) to have it in my hands and start gathering experience with it, but I anyway would not be able to do any reasonable astrophotography right now. And actually - when manufacturing required fixes, I prefer to receive a fixed item rather than an item with issues. I saw that one reviewer got his Dwarf3 already replaced due to issues. What would be more disappointing than finally receiving the item and it is broken in some way?
Images appear to have less detail and grainy compared to S50. That due to S50 has the APO lens and Dwarf just has multi coated lens? I think Dwarf 3 magnification is all not as good using telephoto lens.
The detail difference is why I separated the comparison to a different video (in progress) because I have thoughts on that. D3 does feel like it's catching less data. It's not the lens because D3 is also apochromatic. My hunch is that it's far more sensitive to light pollution than the seestars. But I'm still working on my analysis.
This cash for comment mentality sneaking into different youtubers promoting products rather than their talents is getting a bit disappointing. This is about the 8th youtuber who is promoting this product, Next will it be the qhy mono mini camera? There have been 5 of those being promoted. Seriously don't sell your soul, we have seen this product being promoted enough.

I ordered December 23rd, still waiting. They shipped the tripod already. They said 2 to 14 weeks (?), so it could be 8 more weeks.
